casual space, fresh fish, nice presentation, late night hours. diverse clientele. miso soup is big, delicious, and served at perfect temperature (the tiniest bit too hot to swig). chef's rolls are creative. also have karaoke but i've not seen people perform yet. is becoming my new go-to.

came by to try their $1 oysters for the month of july! they flavor them two ways and only sell them by 6 or 12 and we loved them!! the sauce was so perfectly tangy and one was with wasabi. they provide extra lemon and tobasco om the side. loved the freshness of the salmon and sweet ebi. we were pleasantly surprised with the addition of the fried shrimp head which was perfectly crispy to eat. service was also great! music was bumping so depends if you like that, unfortunate they only offer bottle water which you need to buy. overall, would love to come again

I recently discovered this lil piece of heaven and cannot get sushi off my mind! And the best part of all this is I can satisfy any late-night cravings I have because they are open till 2am!! A fun hip, casual late-night spot to hang out with friends for good eats and some karaoke. They update their specials weekly and you DO NOT want to skip on those!! The rice-to-fish ratio on each roll is perfect! Full of umami with every bite you take. I usually dip a piece in soy sauce with every bite, but with Alynia Zushi I don't have to because the rice has so much flavor in it already. and to me if you don't need to use soy sauce then that's a perfect roll! All the rolls and specials I have had from here were delicious. Our server was awesome! and I will definitely be back to fulfill my cravings! By far my favorite sushi experience!!

This place was a little odd. We came for sushi + karaoke, and there was no karaoke area there were just some tvs up with music videos playing. I got the super duper maki, and I was confused when the salmon came out cooked in the roll (other rolls said the salmon was cooked, so I assumed it would be raw salmon in this one). This place also only has canned drinks which I wish places would tell you before you order it. It took about 20 minutes for our food to come out even though we were 3 of 6 people in the restaurant. I might would try it again during the day, but my first experience was pretty mid.

    Fresh

This place is a gem. I cannot recommend this place enough the food is fresh and the ambiance is laid back. Great alternative to tacos for a late night meal.

Awesome sushi spot on Archer Ave. The location seems a little random, but don't let it deter you. The service is very friendly and welcoming. Sushi was fantastic. Everything was very fresh. It seems like it turns into a kareoke bar after 10 pm which is pretty fun. Definitely need to go back for that. This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend.

We came here after getting into Chicago late for Riot Fest. This place was close to our Airbnb and open late. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. They also had karaoke on the TV screens which was a little bit strange but we participated anyway, and had a blast. The sushi was so good that we came back a second time. I don't recommend getting the cloudy sake in the pink bottle. It was gross.

There aren't many sushi restaurants in neighborhood of south side besides the ones in Chinatown and so I'm glad to have stumbled across this one. The sushi is quite fresh and the food was served very quickly. Our server came by a couple of times to check up on us. We ended up ordering 3 rounds in total because we could not get enough of their salmon hand rolls!

I recently moved nearby Alynia Sushi. I stopped in today to give it a taste test and it was well worth it! First and foremost, the employees are really easy going and very polite... that's always a plus... I started off with the Miso Soup which is one of tastiest Miso Soups soup I've either ever had, or had in a long time. I thought the soup was made to perfection and it was only $3. Worth all 3 dollars I would say! Then I got straight to the point with 3 different sushi rolls: 1. Spicy Tuna Roll 2. Spicy Salmon Roll 3. Spicy Scallop Roll The sushi was really really fresh and well done overall. No complaints whatsoever. When I go back, I think I'll slow down a bit when I eat so I can fully enjoy it. Admittedly I was really hungry and scarfed it down pretty quick. Overall, I am giving it 5 stars because, the food was perfect and the service is always good as well. Cant ask for much more!

I've ordered here from 2 separate occasions. Both times service was extremely friendly. On one occasion, a staff member names Henry went the extra mile to text me about my order to make sure I was okay with any changes which I thought was really nice. I ordered the sashimi platter which included 16 pieces of fish plus a side of sushi rice. The fish was all really good, generous portions, good variety and the garnishes were really nice! The sushi rice was delicious and had pickled daikon and these sweet mushroom that was a really nice touch! Overall, I was very pleased with this lunch and would 100% order again! Another time I got their a platter of their sashimi/sushi combo platter which is $95. The price is a little high but the cuts of sashimi were thick with 4 different types of fish. The rolls were packed well, and did well with serving and some wait time. Overall was solid and would consider them again!

There seems to be many places that offer sushi to eat in Chicago. Alynia is becoming my favorite place to go for traditional and new variants rolls. I have ordered a few different party trays and the quality is exceptional with the freshest fish. I enjoyed the Maki 1 which is kid friendly with many cook rolls and a couple that are spicy which we enjoy as a family. When I am not in a mood for rolls, I ordered the sashimi deluxe which are 16 pcs assorted which are all thick portions. I recommend the party trays and sashimi to everyone. There are plenty of non metered street parking nearby.

Candidly it wasn't on my to-do, but the restaurant happened to be on my route back to my hotel and I hadn't had dinner yet. I walked into the restaurant, and there was a spot open right at the bar waiting for me. I think it was meant to be. Loved the vibe of the restaurant, which was casual but trendy. Best part of all was the music. My ears perked up when I heard Hieroglyphics - The Who... A Plus Remix. Instantly felt "at home" with the underground, old school hip hop. Compliments to their curated Pandora playlist. I ordered the the spicy scallop roll, super san roll, and sawara (Spanish mackerel) nigiri. The spicy scallop roll was my favorite. The super san roll was a mix of their toro with varying fattiness. I appreciated that you could order half rolls at Sushi-San, which came out to 5 pieces instead of 10. This was more than enough food for me. The sawara was buttery and fresh. If you don't like the "fishiness" of saba, you'll enjoy sawara. Lastly, overall customer service was great. The food came out incredibly fast. The bartender who assisted me was awesome. He was attentive and personable.

I came with a friend for lunch during the week and they have a somewhat decent lunch special (for today's standards when factoring the cost of living and inflation). We took advantage of that and ordered the 3 combo platter per person so we got 6 total items since there was two of us. The highlights for us were three yellowtail yuzu sushi as well as the salmon rice bowl. The miso soup that came out first wasn't that great. It was overly salty. My friend who is from Japan that I ate with said this place was ok for American standards but not at all great compared to anything in Japan lol.

It clearly is for all their locations. Unfortunately, here at Chinatown's location, when they attempted to scan the card, the staff said it does not work and only works at the Printer's Row location. I ended up calling the Printer's Row location and had the team talk to the manager at the Chinatown location, and the manager at the Chinatown location kept their stance that it does not work, stating Printer's Row location does not know why the gift card does not work at the Chinatown location, and will not make any exceptions to accepting the gift card. Thankfully at the Printer's Row location, they are stating it's due to their system being new as they are a new location, and reason why the gift card is not working at all the locations yet which they are now working on to fix so it does not happen to any other customer moving forward. I just wish the Chinatown location showed some compassion to address the issue and still accommodate the inconvenience instead of us having to go back to the Printer's Row location to use the gift card Price: Approximately $20, not including tip for 2 people. There are lunch specials! Ambience: Indoor Seating Overall: Worst experience, especially to follow up my birthday celebration

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. It felt a bit slow, especially for a lunch service. That said, if you're looking for a reasonably priced omakase with quality fish, this is a solid choice.

Then we were taken back to our table for dinner. Our server was super friendly as well. Started with the miso soup and crispy tuna bites which were probably my favorite dishes. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
