I went to this establishment yesterday morning a friend of mine and I have wanted to try for weeks but it was always super busy. We got a table and it's counter service I had to ask because we got there and no one really said hi or welcomed us. I ordered our food and the service wasn't rude but it wasn't friendly or inviting either. I went back to get water after the meal and the manager was extremely kind but the rest of the staff just seemed like they didn't want to be there. The food was absolutely fantastic and delicious I would definitely come back hopefully they were just having an off day or had a busy weekend. Would definitely recommend going on a slower day of the week. As far as design the place is a little small but it's very cute and it's self service and counter service I believe. read more

Saw this place on tiktok and was visiting from out of town. Honestly I think it's a bit overrated. It was packed, waited about 25 minutes to get to the counter. The staff is so friendly and accommodating so no hate there. Just thought it was a lot going on for not a mind blowing meal. I got the chicken sandwich and it was mid. Snickerdoodle cookie was fire though. Its a cute vibe but nothing worth a half hour wait for. read more

Service was excellent. Esthetically pleasing. Today wasn't as hot out, but wish there was a bigger seating area inside especially during the summer. Ordered the chicken schnitzel and there was not much flavor to it. The Caesar salad on top was delicious. Ordered the egg sandwich which was also delicious. The lemonade was a bit too sour for my liking though. read more

We ventured down to Sophia's for our monthly book club meeting. It was a Saturday at 10am, I had read reviews so expected crazy parking and a line. Definitely lived up there! Parking is WILD but despite the line it did move really quickly. When we were in line an employee was handing out menus and giving the run down. You order at the counter and then you are seated at a table. DO NOT try and grab a table with your party in line. While I had doubts our magical table would appear just as we were done ordering it actually happened! Again, they were very busy and the system worked perfectly. TRUST IT. Everyone we encountered was really nice, answered questions about the menu and made recommendations. I had planned to order the viral egg sandwich on milk bread but the honey dill chicken sando looked delish so I ended up ordering that w/ a pecan maple roll, iced vanilla latte and a baguette to take home. My sando was just okay. It did not taste honey nor dill. The chicken did have a good crunch and was cooked perfectly but the sandwich was super bland. It did come with waffle fries, that were delicious. Definitely order a pastry. We had several different ones at the table and all delish. The baguette was also amazing. If they have them by the register buy one. I thought the value here was good. I only spent $40 w/ tip for all I ordered. The restaurant is a very open concept. Almost like you are seated on a covered patio. It is very loud inside, which did not make it a great book club choice. I'll be back and fight the parking one more time for the dang egg sandwich I should have gotten this time. read more

This one popped up in my search so we decided to try it. Opened late last year. Got the fried rice and burrito. Both were very good. It's a cool location and the vibe is good. With the open patio/indoor seating. Staff was friendly. There was a long line but it moved quickly and the music was good so it didn't feel long at all. Definitely a spot you can take someone to impress. read more

First time at Sophia's, and I'm so happy there's a spot within walking distance! We arrived around noon and waited about an hour to order and get our food. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the breakfast burrito and French toast. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, fingerling potatoes, schnitzel, and matcha with cold foam. The breakfast sandwich was great- the bread was amazing, and the spicy mayo really stood out. The fingerling potatoes were perfectly crispy. The schnitzel came topped with a really refreshing salad similar to a Caesar; while the chicken itself was a bit dry, it worked well when paired with the salad in each bite. The matchas were okay. The cold foam was an extra dollar, making each drink $9. As a matcha snob, I personally don't think it's worth the price, especially given the small amount of cold foam on top. That said, the ambience was amazing. I loved the aesthetic, and the indoor-outdoor concept is especially nice to have in Phoenix. I'd definitely come back to try the items we missed this time!! read more

Wow, went here months ago... and even then, I waited months to try this place cuz it was always so busy! Walk up order line was out the door, we ordered, and my family and was directed to wait at a table for people getting ready to leave. We stood where they suggested, but the food came out and we realized we were one chair short after that party left. A lady named Flore (owner, manager, family?), saw and scrambled to get us an extra chair and apologized. I said it's not a big deal, and I let my sis and the kids sit first, and I stood at the long high top by them and seriously, I was the same height as them sitting there . Owner proactively kept asking employees to try to find us an extra chair and kept apologizing. I kept saying it's okay, and that's just goes to show how great this place is cuz it's always so busy. While we were waiting, we started chatting and she told us how they named the place after their daughter or granddaughter (I forgot, it was months ago), and how she hoped they stay busy after initial "hype" dies down that happens with a lot of new restaurants. I told her I don't think they have anything to worry about, and feel like this place is not just going to be a trend. She really was the sweetest lady. We later found a larger table and moved over. As for the food, the schnitzel and thick French toast were amazing. Baked eggs was great. Coffee drinks were great. We already decided we would come back to try more items, then Flore came up and handed us a small gift card for our troubles. I honestly didn't expect it. They didn't really do anything wrong, but that was just so sweet of her! We have gone back many times for brunch in the following months. The hype has not died down. The lines are still out the door. Following visits, we tried their cocktails as well and they are all good. We used our gift card for a pastry and coffee. People are always kind and genuinely seem happy here (it's a big thing if you want your day to start off good!) It's always a wonderful experience here. Only thing that's hard... I always want to try something different but end up craving what I've already tried, so I order similar items each time I go. But one day, I will try the whole menu. And to be honest, service and sincerity goes such a long way. My interaction with Flore the first time here will always make me be fond of this place. The great food and service will always make me be a loyal customer. read more

Cute cozy and intimate ambiance. I like how well and organized they were with the seating arrangements during rush hours. Food and drinks were very good plus the presentation was a 10/10. My only disappointment was that they ran out of the French toast which was the main reason for my visit. I was told you have to come early so you don't miss it! read more

The service was very accommodating and friendly. They made sure my friend and I were helped and even asked if we needed sauces or anything they could get for us which is so sweet. I like the design of the place is very modern like Frank Lloyd Wright sort of architecture. The bathrooms are amazing I love how they designed them. FOOD is amazing. My breakfast burrito was so yummy. We even got some cupcakes and I'm not a huge cupcake fan but these ones were so moist and delicious. I'd only get these cupcakes because whatever they are doing is amazing. Was bummed we didn't get to try their French toast because it was sold out but at least now I know to come earlier! read more

The entire place is very green and nice, it's a small place. We got there early in the morning so there was table available. Food is okay, coffee is definitely not what I expected. I ordered ice americano but it was sweet, I couldn't finish it at all. Everyone there was very nice and friendly, if you are near by and looking for a quick breakfast I will say try it out. Otherwise it's not wroth the drive. read more

Checked out Sophia's this past Sunday around 1:30 & it was busy!!! Cool vibe on a beautiful Sunday and very busy but I must say very organized. Being as they recently opened it was packed but the staff did an excellent job of seating you rather quickly once it was your turn. We were handed a menu while waiting in line and got really excited about what we were going to order and unfortunately they ran out of ALL smoothies :( so had to get a coke instead. Everything looked great as I watched the food pass us by while we waited. I ordered the egg sandwich which is served on this amazing soft bread and comes with bacon, avocado, green onions and a slightly spicy sauce. I asked for bacon on the side as did my friend but it seems they forgot to give us any avocado which we didn't notice until the very end. The sandwich was still very good. The tots and that spicy type sauce is on point. We also got one of the fruit/custard pastries from Chaconne which btw just get a pastry they are all so good!!! Service was attentive if you needed anything we just had to wait a few moments. Check it out for yourself! Loved the light, decor, vibe. read more

Very cute new spot. I've been wanting to come for a while but the one time I tried several weeks ago I was put off by the long line out the door. We decided to come back on Sunday but we made sure to come early. Parking wasn't as hard but if you come later in the day it can be hard. I strongly recommend coming before 9 am. By the time we had ordered the line was significantly longer. You order at the counter and then they will seat you. Don't try to sit first and save a table because they have their own system which ensures fairness. I saw someone being asked to move. They have chaconne pastries along with coffee, matcha and smoothies. I had the French toast which was so delicious. I ate half only and split the baked eggs with my sister. I think the French toast can be too sweet if you have it all by yourself but it's so good which the Dulce de leche inside. The baked eggs were so unique, I haven't seen this done anywhere else. They add lemon peel and cabbage which I thought was very creative. I also had a smoothie - I think it was called elixir something. It had beetroot, lemon, ginger and it was very nourishing. Service was good. My only feedback would be that they really clear the table fast so this does not seem like the place to enjoy conversation after a meal. They're so busy so it feels like they want you to eat and then leave fast. They get bonus points for being dog friendly. I look forward to coming back and trying the corn waffle. read more

I've been here a couple of times now and the trick is to go earlier in the morning to get a seat. This place is absolutely darling! Whoever designed this restaurant is a Genius because it is the coolest concept; split diagonally with glass in the middle indoor/outdoor. I've had the French toast, breakfast sandwich, breakfast fried rice, an almond cheese tart, and chocolate croissant. Their coffee is fabulous as well. Everything was delicious but the standout was the breakfast sandwich which comes with super crispy tater tots and some drizzle of yumminess on it. The breakfast fried rice is gluten free and so flavorful! My first bite of the French toast was delicious, however, it has quite a bit of dolce de Leche or caramel in between the layers and it was just too sweet for me. If you order, you might ask for it on the side instead. Not only is it such a great atmosphere to be in, the staff is so friendly. Polite, nice conversations and smiles. Courtesy and asking if we needed anything goes a long way. Love this place and hope the open up other locations soon!!! read more

What a great spot in Phoenix really close to the airport. Very accommodating since we had just landed in an early morning flight, waiting to check in to our Airbnb and they graciously let us in with our bags and let us keep them in a corner while we ordered as they kept and eye on it. The food was amazing. The egg sandwich that I got was scrumptious along with the tator tots. The mimosas we got for our bride on our bachelorette was refreshing and amazing! Great decor, pretty archway. Would recommend 100%! read more

We really liked Sophia's!! My mom and I came here this morning. We wanted to go early as we knew it was a popular spot. It was super cute inside. Lots of curved lines kind of looks like the 70s. We got there around 9:30 and there was a line but it wasn't crazy long. While waiting in line they bring you menus to peruse and explain how ordering/seating works. Anna helped us out and she was awesome! The line went pretty quick took us about 25 minutes to get to the front. Anna pulled us to the side and let us order through her. We decided to split an egg sandwich and the French toast and we both got a PB espresso martini. The martinis came out super quick and they were delicious! The pb tequila was such a unique taste and the flavor was rich and creamy. I would go back just for those!! The food came out shortly after. The tater tots that came with the sandwich were perfectly salty and addicting. The sandwich itself was good but the French toast stole the show. It was stuffed with Dulce de leche and topped with butter and flaky salt. It was perfectly sweet and the perfect end to breakfast. I will definitely be back! read more

I feel this spot is super cute and such a girly vibe. Clearly it's still pretty popular and trending from social media. We tried to go on Sunday for a birthday celebration. You pretty much have to wait in line to order your food and also wait for a table. We believe who was a manger was super helpful and friendly! She may have been the most accommodating person on the team. She even found a spot for us to sit and also brought me cute cupcake with a candle for my birthday. I really wish I knew her name she deserves recognition. We ended up ordering our food to go. Overall, I would try it out again but maybe just go with one to two people max. read more

Very fun menu. Fried rice for breakfast was dynamite Paired with mimosa flight. The place was buzzing.

Sophia's was highly rated and recommended. We wanted to try it out. The wait was pretty long but they had a system which I loved. It was nice to have someone looking for a table for you and not being too worried about finding a table. The food was good. If you can't handle too much sugar like us, I'd recommend asking to have the syrup for the French toast on the side. Since the French toast was sweet the pool of syrup under it was too much for us. The breakfast burrito was actually good, wish it was a little less salty but I think it was just bad luck that day with my meal. read more

Loved their salsa pico wow! Spicy but so good. My bf and I shared the French toast. I got a Hugo spritz . They are taking aperol off the menu? I had an uncomfortable experience here due to how a legitimate food safety concern was handled. While placing my order, I noticed a bee flying around inside the pastry display case. I calmly mentioned it to one employee, who acknowledged it but did not take action. When nothing changed, I mentioned it to another employee, who appeared to brush it off. Both employees then stepped away briefly and laughed about the situation within my view, which felt dismissive. When I reiterated that a bee inside an open pastry case is unsanitary, the response was defensive and dismissive. The employee said "fine" with an attitude and walked away to address it, all while being in the middle of my transaction. At that point, my order had been taken but payment had not yet been processed. Given the lack of professionalism and how the concern was handled, I chose to leave rather than complete the purchase. Addressing sanitation issues promptly and respectfully should not feel like an inconvenience to staff, and customers should not be mocked or spoken down to for raising reasonable concerns. Unfortunately, this experience made it clear this was not a place I felt comfortable giving my business. read more

Good, but not great. This is a place to go and take pictures or be seen more than anything. They precook the eggs in giant batches (open kitchen) which I understand due to the long wait times but when you wait an hour in line and for the food, your expectations naturally go up. I do have to say I really enjoyed the French toast though. The burrito was beyond forgettable unfortunately with a really sus quality tortilla you expect to find far far away from the border. The cold brew coffee was basically water. Overall, I'd maybe come back when or if the hype ever dies down. The food is not worth the wait. They should probably figure out a better system for ordering to keep the lines down as well. read more

The restaurant clearly prioritizes maximizing table turnover over providing a good customer experience. Refusing to offer reservations or even a basic waitlist isn't a quirky business model, it's a deliberate choice that leaves customers standing around with no idea when they'll be seated while ensuring the restaurant has virtually no downtime between tables. The food looks great on social media, but the experience doesn't live up to the hype. Prices are difficult to justify for what you actually receive, and it feels like far more effort has gone into creating an Instagram-worthy image than delivering value or hospitality. Good presentation can't make up for an operation that seems designed around customer inconvenience. If you're thinking about coming because of a flashy Instagram post or influencer recommendation, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. The marketing is far more impressive than the dining experience. Unless you're willing to overpay and wait indefinitely just to eat somewhere that's trending online, save yourself the frustration and choose one of the many restaurants that values both your time and your business. read more

Not sure this place knows what it wants to be. Has counter service and pastries like a cafe, but it's not a cafe - I'd be out of place doing work here. The girl at the cashier was uninviting and had the personality of a rock. Made me reconsider eating here before I paid. Food was a disappointment. Egg sandwich lacked flavor and came with cold cheese, cold eggs and avocado was placed on top and not in the sandwich. The French Toast was equally disappointing. Presented well but was dry and hard to eat. Best item we had was the chocolate smoothie. A nice atmosphere and smoothie wasn't worth the $50. read more

We were excited to check out a brunch restaurant new to us. We went on Father's Day which may have been a poor choice. Waited in line for a while. They had shade umbrellas and offered cold water which was considerate and was a prelude to the fine service they offer. We had wanted to try the French toast, a signature dish, but they had run out. The menu does warn of this. We tried a few different pastries and I ordered the crust less quiche, more like a frittata to me. All of these were considerably underwhelming. Good cocktails and pleasant ambiance. But food-wise - not impressed. Sorry to say. read more

Note: I rarely give 5-star reviews because that means as close to perfect as possible. Also note, I don't like paying for breakfast that I can make at home since it's a fairly simple meal. All of that to say, Sophia's was excellent! Despite the long line, the service was excellent; the staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Clean and cute, the atmosphere was welcoming and even though it was crowded we were comfortable. And the food... exceptional.
