    French toast

After all the posts on social media, we had to come check Sophia's out. We went this past Sunday morning. Upon arriving around 9:30am, there was a line out the door to order food. However, it moved pretty quickly. I'd say we waited about 20-25 minutes. After ordering, we were told to pick any open seats and that our food would be brought to us. Surprisingly, the food did not take long. It was probably about 40 minutes from the time we arrived to receiving our food, which is not terrible considering how busy this place gets. We ordered a breakfast burrito, an american breakfast, and a French toast, a cold brew, and a honey bee latte. The food was delicious. However, the coffee wasn't so great. It tasted somewhat watered down, hence why I'm only giving four stars. Other than that, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant's vibes were also really nice.

We had wanted to go to Sophia's and actually made a couple of attempts, but as you'll see from my video, this place gets seriously long line. In the past we've just gone someplace else and vowed to come earlier in the day to avoid the line. We got up early-ish for a Saturday morning and made our way to Phoenix. I really love this building which was repurposed from an old house from the 1940s era. There's a glass wall that completely opens that runs diagonal across the building, and a patio with giant shades. A long silver communal table runs down the middle of the room and there are lots of little tables dotted around. Although this place is nearly designed, it has a fantastic retro look with white globe lights. They're also lots of plants and the place just feels bright and airy. There is a glass case with delicious looking pastries, and although there's no official bar, they do serve some cocktails like mimosas. We arrived at 9:00 and the line was already relatively long. My son grabbed a table while I got in line to order the counter - - this is a place where you order at the counter and they'll bring you your food when it's ready. We ordered an iced vanilla latte, a pecan sticky bun, chicken schnitzel which came with Caesar salad, and a honey Dill chicken sando. There was a mix-up, which I fully take responsibility for, and we did not receive the chicken sando - - again, my fault. We asked one of the servers about it and we learned it was never added to our order. No worries though, because the schnitzel and Caesar salad was gigantic and we ended up splitting that and the sticky bun. It was plenty of food for us. I have to give kudos because when we were out in the parking lot, the manager came out to hand us a gift card for the inconvenience of not having the chicken sando added to our order. It was not a big deal and it was my fault, but she was very kind and gave it to me anyway. I 100% recommend Sophia's, just come prepared to wait in line. It's worth it.

Hubs and I heard about Sophie's and had to give it a try. Everything sounded delicious. We ordered their famous French toast and their egg sandwich with a side of eggs. This was absolutely delicious! French toast was on the sweeter side but tasty. The egg sandwich was filling but a bit messy to eat. The tater tots and the spicy mayo sauce were the winner for me. This place gets packed! We arrived on a Saturday morning for breakfast around 8ish and we were lucky to find parking right away. There is seating inside and outside. Order your food and then find a table. Food will be delivered to you. Service was friendly and quick. We will definitely come back!

    BLT and iced vanilla chai

Met up with friends here on Sunday and we we enjoyed our visit. The line was long when we arrived but it moved pretty quickly. The restaurant is beautiful and has a nice open concept. The decor and colors all go well and gives it a clean welcoming vibe. I ordered the BLT sandwich with an iced black tea chai + vanilla. The rest of our orders included an American breakfast, an egg sandwich, and the honey dill chicken sandwich. For pastries we shared one French toast, one cinnamon roll, and one Guava pastry. The pastries were all delicious. The French toast and cinnamon roll were my favorite. The French toast was served warm, it was fluffy, and had the right amount of butter on top. I really enjoyed my BLT sandwich as the bacon was delicious. The waffle fries it came with were flavorful and crispy. Service was great, everyone was friendly. Dont panic for a table, the employees will seat you after you have ordered! Overall, totally recommend.

Came here with moderate expectations and left feeling pretty neutral overall. The atmosphere at Sophia's is nice and has a welcoming vibe, which I appreciated. The service was good, employees were friendly, though a bit inconsistent with timing of the food. The food was okay. Some were enjoyable and well presented, but others felt a little underwhelming when it came to flavor and execution. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. It's a decent spot nearby phoenix airport if you are looking for something casual. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come back. Overall, a fair 3 out of 5 stars experience. The parking situation gets a little crazy and shortly after we arrived there was a line formed out the doors

This was a pleasant surprise! Originally had plans for another spot but that place was closed so a quick search and this place was an option. Met with a friend here and we were greeted as we entered. Super cute layout, all open to the outside, which may get a bit harsh with the warmer temps but it was comfortable in the morning. Limited parking next to them, but was able to grab a spot. Walked over to the line where they had menus to look over. Everything sounded great! Opted for the breakfast burrito with an iced vanilla latte. They also had pastries so we obviously had to try two! The cashier was very nice and helped us decide between 2 pastries. Got our number and found a table in some shade. Drinks came first and my vanilla latte was great! The berry danish was fresh, sweet, and refreshing! My breakfast burrito came an it was amazing. Full of eggs, chorizo, and cheese, albeit not overflowing. It was served with these super delicious and crispy tater tots that I wish I had ordered an extra side to go! There was a side of this salsa that I personally was not a fan of, but they did have a station with other hot sauces & cups of water you can grab! Great experience, attentive staff, will definitely be back, even if it's just to order something to go!

This place is POPPIN. We came at 9:30am On Sunday and there was a big line- thankfully it went fast but my friend who showed up at 9:45 had to wait 20-30 minutes longer than we did to place her order. So COME early especially on a weekend. The ambiance is incredible!! We LOVED the open views it was so unique. The staff was super friendly- shoutout to MAY! She ensured we got seated right away and then grabbed us a table. I got the breakfast burrito which was just OK- but I did enjoy the tator tots on the side and my Cinnabon roll was super yummy! If I'm in the area again I'd love to try something else! A very cute brunch spot

I've been so excited to finally come here since it's opened, and it totally didn't disappoint! As soon as I ran out the corner and drove up into the parking lot, I noticed there was a huge line which I was not surprised since it's only been a few months since opening. I did have to park pretty far down the lot, but there were definitely still plenty of spots left in the area. I waited in line about 45 minutes and this was around 10 AM. This was all good, because my eyes certainly had a feast upon the brilliant retro-modern decor and airy ambiance. Right before we reached the counter, an employee seated us to order through her. I'm assuming they split everyone near the counter whether it's a to go or a sitdown order? Nonetheless, we were glad that it was seating by a waitress since we were worried that finding a spot was going to be a challenge. I got the Matcha martini and the waffle, which was corn based I believe. Absolutely scrumptious!! The Matcha martini had a very deep Matcha flavor and it wasn't overly sweet, which was exactly how I liked it! 10/10!! The waffle was equally just as good as it was corn flavor, so it had a slightly savory profile to balance its sweet toppings. I couldn't get enough!! I'm excited to come back to try the rest of its menu. They partner with local foods like Provision and Noble Bread! Classic Arizona faves. The coffee on the menu was also very reasonably priced!

This a cool and unique brunch spot inside a really cool building. I ordered the Honey Dill Chicken Sando and I feel like it needed some flavor. The waffle fries were really good though. We all shared a French toast and it was delicious. The service was good!

Its a Brunch, Breakfast Fried rice, egg on the side and Breakfast Sandwich with tater tots and hot chocolate.

This spot came highly recommended and sadly the food was not it. We live in an age where beautiful Instagrammable spots get a lot of attention because of the esthetics seem to outweigh the main character which, in my opinion, is the food. Don't get me wrong, this spot is too cute. Nostalgic of California vibes, the place was clean, the staff were very attentive and professional. Plus, the bathrooms were clean also. So I will give credit where credit is due. However, the Breakfast fried rice was very much lacking. I heard and thought it would be all the rage but the rice did not seem to be fully cooked and tried to add hot sauce, spicy mayo, anything to help the flavor but it did not help. We also tried the Breakfast sandwich with the side of tater tots and spicy mayo. The tots won the show and thats saying a lot considering they were overdone. But that spicy mayo was the great assist. Maybe it was the day, a Saturday or the time we went, the afternoon, maybe it was the triple digits that had something to do with the Breakfast fried rice not hitting the spot. But definitely give Sophia's a 10/10 for their presentation abilities and customer service.

A very stylish place to have a nice brunch! Did the coffee and food blow me away? No not really. Service was nice enough but not outstanding. The way this place looks is what it has going for it! Worth a try 1 time but I'm not dying to return and certainly not waiting in long lines for.

Came on a Thursday at 11 and line was still long but not bad . Always expect a line . One thing I do love is how the servers give you a table and the table aren't first come first serve because people could easily have their party grab a table while they wait in line so them giving you a table is supper nice . Of course the vibe is very nice in there, calm and great music . With it being so busy the servers also don't rush you the service was polite and smooth . Food is good , averagely priced so can't complain . French toast was yummy and I ate the breakfast burrito and the potatoes with the sauce .... Fireeeee . Everyone enjoyed their food and experience so how could I not give 5 stars . Miss Sophia will be seeing me again

A nice breakfast out! Cute business with thoughtful touches of decor and color inside and out. Very busy on Sunday morning with limited parking available. The wait in line was about 25 mins, but it wasn't too bad. The staff are very kind and attentive, running food to tables, checking on guests, and someone helping find an open table which was really helpful since it was so busy. We ordered the fried rice and breakfast burrito to eat and an iced dirty chai and latte to drink. Our drinks were delicious. The burrito was very basic so I would like to try something else next time, but it came with a side of tots so that was a nice perk. A nice place to grab some food. I wasn't wowed by anything here, but I am glad I came to check it out.

Hello! How is the parking here? Easy to find? Is there a free parking lot? Paid side streets? TIA :)

I have only been there once. It's free parking but the parking was limited. We were able to find a spot right away. It was easy to find. I didn't notice meters on the side streets.

The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.
