I love how efficient it is now! And the results are SO fast! I got my results this time in less than 24 hours! I've had to get regular labs my entire life, and I am so happy that I've found a place that turns what used to be a slog into an actually enjoyable experience! You will be greeted by a room full of people, a closed reception window (opaque with lowered blast-shield), and a greasy iPad on a wobbling stand. You can enter your name and it will appear on a large, wall-mounted TV. Your name will sit there, unmoving, for hours, just like all the people in the waiting room. You will wait for so long that you can see gravity working on the people, crushing them into puddles of despair--despair so deep that smartphones cannot save them. Sometimes new people will arrive in the the waiting room, add their finger-grease to the iPad, and their names will appear in front of yours. They made appointments, and even the appointments are massively delayed. You will wait longer. Perhaps until tomorrow. A sad old woman paws at the closed door to the lab, saying that she forgot her car keys inside during her appointment. Nobody inside hears her and she knocks and scrabbles for ten minutes before the door opens, coincidentally, to finally admit someone. The old woman and the patient enter, tearfully overjoyed. However, despite having shown up 45min prior to my appointment time (15min more than they requested for new patients), I still wasn't seen until nearly an hour after my appointment time. As I had to take time off of work for this appointment and scheduled meetings around it, it was inconvenient that I was there more than an hour later than they advised it would take. Also, in calling to confirm my faxed request for a CD copy of my results/imaging was received and was being processed I selected the options regarding records and it just gave instructions for the request and then disconnected me.
