Office shows it is open today and its not. Been waiting on refills, now I have to wait until Monday, Poor communication!

Orange Grove practice is terrible. There is no doctor although my insurance agent told them that they need to bill under a doctor's name. So I've been getting denials of coverage from my insurance. They even billed for an appointment I had cancelled. Nurse Goodin does not listen and does not care. I was in terrible pain and she prescribed a medicine that tore up my stomach. I had told her that I cannot take statins and she prescribed a statin. She claimed that she discussed obesity with me, but it never happened. I went to her for excruciating back and leg pain. She wouldn't even order an MRI until I had to go to the hospital for the pain. read more

I've been coming here for 6 years and receiving incredible service. The front desk staff are always welcoming and so helpful. The nurses handle all bloodwork with care and Dr Elias is fantastic. They even have a texting service for patients which makes my life so much easier. My husband also goes here and loves it. read more

They decided to change my antidepressants without telling me that I needed to wean off the ones that I was on. I wind up in a psychiatric ward for 48 hours on the observation for suicide they keep calling me to come in but I decided to go elsewhere being that at 66 years old there was no reason for my medication to be changed maybe just adjusted read more

My PCP become a member of this group. My first time coming to this clinic. Everyone is so friendly. I'm happy that my doctor keeps his staff. They are the best part of his practice. Best part is, they do their own lab works here now. I highly recommend this place. read more

Office staff is always courteous and helpful. My husband's nurse practitioner is not always great at getting the details right. I called twice to make sure they had changed our pharmacy to the new one in our network but NP sent prescriptions to former pharmacy and new pharmacy. The out of network pharmacy filled the rx first and I couldn't get the refill at our network pharmacy without a bit of work. read more

I'm not big on doctors. I haven't ever had a PCP. But, after my sister started bugging me to get a Primary, I started searching for one. I checked reviews on all places that were taking new patients. I decided to give Optima a try. I called them and was set up with a NP with an appointment in 2 weeks. This past week, I went it to their facility. I understand that they have recently moved to this location. The check in person was super nice and friendly. I waited about 5 minutes and was called to go to a room. Vonnie attended to me with height, weight, questions, etc. Then Luz came in retook my blood pressure (with coat syndrome). Both were professional and friendly. When Mary (NP) came in, I was immediately put at ease. Mary didn't push vaccines, just told me what she recommended. She asked pertinent questions, wanted to do a base line EKG and checked my lungs, and abdomen. I had a couple of items that I wanted taken care of and she did. The thing I like about this place is that all the associates were relaxed, friendly with the clients and each other. It's easy to tell that they are happy working at Optima. That says a lot about upper management and how they treat their associates. I'll go back. read more

The staff here made me feel at ease. I'm not one to go to the doctors office often and when I do, my anxiety tries to get the best of me. All the staff from check in to treatment and check out are wonderful. The feeling of acceptance and kindness really went along way to reassure me that I was in a good place. Staff is great, but FNP Dustin Smith speaks derogatorily to you. He didn't properly explain our contractual agreement. He tried deterring me from seeing an actual psychiatrist, and I had to ask multiple times for a referral through different visits. I have been diagnosed with epilepsy, anxiety, insomnia, and prescreened for PTSD. He got upset when I went to another FNP. read more

Incompetent, rude, useless sums up this medical groups better qualities. The "No Follow Through " staff makes elders lives miserable. It takes constant pressure to get your prescriptions. Doctor tells you you need procedures but the staff can't seem to have time for such petty actions. Run away fast as you can! read more

I went for my annual check up and Jessica was amazing. It's usually very hard for people to draw blood from me and she did it on the first try. I just want to give her cudos because on top of her being so good at what she does, she's such a nice person. read more

Highly disappointed with the Front Desk staff. I received a text message to confirm my long awaited appointment two days prior and sent back the confirmation. I get there on time, singed in the sheet and wasn't acknowledged for my appointment. I took a seat and waited patiently until the incompetent front desk girl called me. Then she proceeded to asked me who was my appointment with. Apparently my Dr. was deployed and they didn't had access to her schedule! They offered me another appointment for the following month. What kind of practice is this? They don't seem to care about their scheduled patients. read more

I started as a patient here a few months ago and I am very Satisfied. My appointments always start on time or early, and My concerns are always addressed. The needed tests and referrals I needed have all been performed in a timely manner and the staff is friendly. read more

This has to be the worst place in Tucson. Can't get appointments with Doc. anymore only nurse practitioners. Then, even after they see you, they call in the prescription wrong. Then I am the one who has to fix it. Poor service, but what I hear most of the facilities are like this. A hole lot of money for middle level care. I would go somewhere else, but the wait at most places now is months. I am a lucky one pretty good heath. I'm not sure what has to change. I have been a patient at Optima Medical for approximately 3 years and while I enjoyed a great relationship with my doctor, the administrative staff is the worst I have ever encountered. Example: I have been trying for over a year to get a Prolia shot which I got on a regular basis when I lived in Colorado. The staff has not been able to facilitate that. It's not complicated. Additionally, calls are never (I do mean never) returned and I have found them to not be truthful when I have asked them what they are doing to help with this simple request. This is only one example of incompetence. If you have any other choice for a medical provider, I would strongly suggest you go elsewhere. Christine read more

I just want to say that I have an extensive medical history and have been to many offices in phoenix Tucson and Nogales. This is by far the best experience I've had in the last 5 years. I would drive 3 hours to phoenix to see my nurse practitioner because I couldn't find a good place to call primary care home. I was impressed by the nurse practitioner Josh. He was so thorough! He actually took time to read my history and go over every detail. My last visits to the Mariposa clinic in Nogales were horrible experiences and I was willing to drive an hour and a half to find a place. So thankful I did. The front desk was very professional. the medical assistant was wonderful and what a personality. just a positive experience. I never write reviews but this was so worth it. they need to know they are making a difference and doing great. read more

I'm so sad about what this facility has become. They went from 5 star to under 3 in the past few months. You never get to see your doctor, every visit is a different doctor and changed medications. :( Hate it. read more
