This is the worst Sonic I've ever been to. Screw up every order and the employees are rude

I ordered 2 small shakes and they gave me 2 cups of whip cream........wtf! I know you're busy but damn

They always mess up on your order and the wait time for the drive-thru is completely ridiculous. I might go back to this place because I like the ice cream, but I'll wait for a while to see if it gets better. read more

They NEVER get they're orders right, I guess they must be all stoners that work there because they never remember my order. Even when the lady at the drive-thru asked me 3 times what I wanted in my breakfast burrito, and 3 times I told her bacon, and still got sausage, lol. Plus the steak in the burritos was so dry and old it was inedible, I wouldn't give that steak to my dog. Avoid this place, it's horrible. The only safe thing to order there is ice cream. read more

I've been continually frustrated with the service at the Madera Sonic. I feel like they will do OK for awhile, but then I have another terrible experience. I will not be returning to this location. They are inconsistent with when they open. They are supposed to open at 7:00a, but they frequently won't open until 8-8:15a. I went there to get a morning beverage (iced tea, nothing crazy), and they had me wait for 15 minutes to give me the most watered down iced tea. It was practically clear. I had to go back through the drive-thru and ask for a refund. They didn't really have an excuse, except that they just barely opened. I asked them what time they were supposed to open every day, and he replied 7:00a. Mind you, this was at 8:20a. They could of handled the situation way better, and could of told me when I ordered that I would have to wait as they were brewing the iced tea. This is just one of the many bad examples of customer service that they provide. I feel like they need better management at this location. Wait times are extremely long, and there are always issues with orders. The other fast food joints in Madera provide much better service. read more

Just waaaay to long to wait on drinks.... Walk up is no quicker than drive through. Drinks are good but damn find a better system

I drive a truck for a large grocery Store chain here in California. I had just delivered down the street from this particular sonic location. And flew up here because I saw all the lights on to order a burger because I'm starving. I push the button on the machine approximately 8:02 PM. A young girl appeared out of the restaurant laughing claiming they had just closed at 8 o'clock. My immediate thought was you can't do one more order? I mean I could understand if it was like 8:10 PM. If I was the owner of this particular location reading this. I would seek out the individual in question and terminate her immediately! This is a perfect example of poor customer service. This is what happens when you allow kids to run your business. Not impressed! Ended up driving up the road to the new love's truck stop where there was a Arby's. I was greeted with smiles. The employees where happy to take my order. Take note Sonic! read more

Food might be good...sometimes...if you ever get. Repeatedly have come here and had excessive wait times. This time we waited 20 minutes before anyone took the order. Had to get out of the car and ask if they'd ever get this. Gave them the order in person and had to wait another 10 minutes just to get a damn slushy. We ordered our food at this location a few hours back and needless to say, we were very disappointed. My sandwich was flattened and a general mess, our shakes were filled roughly an inch below the lid (including the whipped cream), and the one who took our order gave robotic "yes" and "no" answers in a rude fashion. The wait time wasn't that long considering the line was full of cars, and despite the appearance everything tasted great. In summary: Rude service and mishandled product / stingy preparation, but food tasted fine and wait times were reasonable so I'll give a 2/5. read more

Overall, great food and awesome shakes. What you would expect from a place that models itself after the iconic theme of servers on roller skates bringing your food to you while you wait in your car. What top off this Sonics visit was the service. Our server, I believe her name was Katarina... was awesome. The best smile, great attitude and made sure your visit to Sonic was enjoyable. Couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you Katarina and keep up the good work and thank you Sonic, great food as always. Service always takes forever. I was in a stall waiting for someone to take my order and I guess the stall was broken. I finally moved to another stall and then got my drinks. I have to say the girls that work here are always really polite and nice. But the people who work inside are useless read more

My review is only for the service provided by Mckenzie. The food was so-so, but the level of service Mckenzie provided was outstanding. She was patient with my questions about the menu and even suggested a few things I would never have ordered. I rarely eat at Sonic, but I would go back for the excellent service. read more

Too pricey for the food and the taste is not that great, but if you are looking for a great drink! Or shake! Then OMG go! But order small because they go bigger on the cups so it's worth the price you pay! read more

being a former restaurant general manager, my opinion of the madera location is very low. Although the food is good and friendly staff, they are not accurate at all with getting the orders correct. After going there for a few years, I have yet to get my order correct. I have gone as far as calling the corporate office and still the same result. read more

I don't understand why every sonic has the issue of taking orders to the wrong car lol maybe get bigger numbers on the pole. the shakes are amazing just they leave the cup messy and sticky on the outside. I love the tots! but they are sometimes slow with orders and keep forgetting stuff and forgetting to bring napkins and ketchup. Its okay. I keep going for the drinks and tots. just I wish they got on top of things and didn't take forever read more

Drive thru is priority for this place. Food was cold and they put no condiments in bag so always ask. Ketchup mustard etc Not worth the daily deal and loss of lunch time. read more
