1 STAR - Extremely frustrating and unnecessary experience…read more I went to Total Wine today with my family, and we arrived separately. I was already at the register checking out when my 13-year-old nephew briefly walked over to me because his mom had told him to ask me something. He was NOT buying alcohol, touching the alcohol, or receiving anything from me. He literally just walked up to me for a moment after I had already been ranged up and ID us.The employee immediately tried to ID him. He is 13 -- of course he does not have a driver's license or adult identification. Because he couldn't provide an ID, they refused to complete MY purchase. What makes this even more frustrating is that Total Wine's published policy states that people under 21 are allowed in their stores when accompanied by an adult guardian of legal drinking age, while also stating that they may require all parties in a group to provide identification. My nephew was not part of my purchase. He was not attempting to buy alcohol. He simply walked over to ask me something. The employee immediately tried to ID him and then refused to complete my purchase because he is 13. The way the male employee and manager handled this situation was completely unreasonable and made absolutely no sense. We have seen plenty of families with young children in the store, and they were not treated this way. So why was my purchase stopped because a 13-year-old family member simply walked up to me? If this is Total Wine's policy, then it needs to be clearly communicated and applied consistently. His parents arrived with him and put their purchase back and he was letting me know they are leaving And for anyone wondering why we didn't just leave him outside -- it was over 100°F. They would absolutely not leave a 13-year-old sitting alone in a dangerously hot car just so they can purchase something inside. I completely understand being strict about preventing alcohol from getting into the hands of minors. But there is a huge difference between a minor purchasing/receiving alcohol and a child simply approaching a family member at the register. This could have been handled with basic common sense and a simple explanation instead of making a customer feel like they were doing something wrong. Extremely disappointed with how the employee and manager handled this. The manager and staff need better training and are incompetent. They need to use common sense when dealing with families. They obviously seen he wasn't with us and knit picking who to decline service to. I also couldn't help but notice that families of different backgrounds (white people obviously) have been allowed to shop with their children without being subjected to this same treatment. I cannot say why I was treated differently, but the inconsistency was concerning and left me questioning whether this policy is being applied equally to all customers.

When I was young and I was sick I would ask my mom to make me soup. My mom lives very far away now,…read moreso now I have the excuse to order Thai Boat soup instead. Omg. The spice is everything and will heal the worst of ailments. I'm pretty sure it could cure whatever the next pandemic is. But really, the spice is delicious and there's such depth to the flavor that makes me feel like someone who loves me made this soup. Served best on very rainy and cold days too. Now that we're in the middle of summer I dream of that perfect afternoon with some delicious thai boat

We had come here last year in the summer but I had forgotten to write a review. We came back a few…read moredays ago to get some noodles. They have a large variety of noodles here, pho, thai boat noodles, khao soy, khao poon, and also tons of other thai /cambodian / lao choices. We got a thai boat noodle, khao soy, and pork belly to share. The thai boat noodle and khao soy are delicious. It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !
