I came here to pickup some food to go on a Monday. The parking lot has plenty of parking but does get crowded around 3/4 pm when all of the dance classes / studios have parents dropping off there kids. Slice of India is also located next to spirit made cakes which I have been wanting to visit. I ordered palak paneer spicy, shrimp butter curry, kashmiri chicken, and garlic naan. I didn't know that they would give me a big tray of rice as well, but it was great because I didn't have to wait until I cooked rice before I could start eating. The palak paneer was great, spicy, and great flavor. The shrimp butter curry was really yummy as well. I also loved the jalfrezi chicken, it was cooked with bell peppers, red onions, tomato, and garlic. My food came out quickly! I will definitely be back if I ever want indian food. read more

The samosas are delicious and clearly homemade. Much larger than the ones at other restaurants. The tikki masala was perfectly balanced and the owner even offered a sample of his ice cream while I waited. Excellent service. I will be back. read more

Went here on a Thursday night. There were lots of seating which was nice! The service was good. The garlic naan was delicious, except we didn't like that some parts were burnt. The butter chicken was amazing; we got it mild The sweet lassi was okay.. I would try the mango one next time! read more

First things first if you're gonna be doing takeout/delivery this isn't a bad restaurant at all. Food is good and that's pretty much it. We came in today to sit down and eat and I just have to say this. Where is the air conditioning or at least something to cool people down we were there for I would say less than an hour, but we couldn't even finish our food because the heat got to us. Owner is extremely kind. This is my favorite place to get Indian food, although I only get Togo, i can honestly say it travels well. Garlic Naan is always good. Tandoori chicken is great. Everything feels freshly made to order. Sometimes if the owner is there he'll give us something on the house. Extremely kind gestures and feels like something he just whipped up on the spot! Literally the only place my family gets Indian food in Fresno. We are Indian ourselves so I think that says something haha. I love everything on their menu and the chef is always nice and personable. After finally having tried them all, this is our favorite Indian food place in the Clovis/Fresno area. All of their curries are great, but we always come back to the Chefs Special Chicken Curry and the Tikka Masala, which are exceptional alongside samosas and garlic naan. The BEST Indian restaurant and my favorite place to eat!! I've been coming here for a long time and hype it up to everyone I know. I always recommend this restaurant. Their food is amazing and their service has always been friendly with me. The ambiance is welcoming and calm when I do eat at the restaurant. I got my boyfriend hooked on this place too and we get take out all the time. Our go-to orders are their samosas, mushroom matter, veggie goan curry, and garlic naan. All of these dishes are 5 stars. For me, no other Indian restaurant compares. I also like to add I'm glad they have vegan options and have it labeled on their menu. Definitely a must try! You have to try this place. The food was excellent, the service was so good. Everything was hot and fresh and bursting with fresh garlic and ginger flavors. I didn't experience the restaurant itself as I got my order to go, but the prices were fair for the portions provided. The butter chicken, samosas, and garlic naan were perfect. So fresh, so good. My friend an I came here for dinner the other night. When we walked in the staff was laying in the booths napping and it had a weird smell inside. It was very humid inside as well. I was a bit turned off but my friend insisted they had good food. Service was not that great and you also can not order an appetizer. I asked for a couple sides to have with our drinks to start off and the waiter said no we have to put your whole order in at the same time. I felt pressure to order so I went with Chana Masala. The food was decent but the service made us feel rushed. The place wasn't crowded at all so I don't know what the hurry was. I gave it 3 stars because of ambiance and service was not good. The restaurant is very nice. Decor on the walls. Clean and safe. The order was ready and waiting. Paid for it and the worker was very kind and wished me a good weekend before leaving. It smelled absolutely delicious on the way home! Lunchtime! Got it ready and split. Roti was great! Even better with the meats! Tandoori shrimp was spicy and scrumptious! Slice of India doesn't not have the fanciest interior or nicest seats, but it does well with what is most important with a restaurant - the food! The food here is delicious. Their spicy Vindaloo is properly spicy and packed with flavor. Their Tiki Marsala is top notch, and while I have never eaten a Butter Chicken dish that I didn't love - the Butter Chicken at Slice of India was next level delicious. I also highly recommend their Basil Garlic Naan bread. Having tasty Naan bread is an easy win for any decent Indian restaurant, but it's especially good here. I also recommend trying their tasty fruit drinks- very good! My server was quiet, polite, and professional. While not noticeably outgoing or overly friendly, I felt comfortable enough in the fairly quiet environment. Came here on a Friday night around 6ish and the place was packed. We got last booth table and attended to immediately. Tikka masala, saag paneer and lamb vindaloo- all medium spice level. Definitely has a kick to it. Comes with basmati rice. We ordered garlic naan too which had more garlic spice than garlic bits on it. All quite tasty. Not a fan. We ordered the chicken wings and the sauce actually tasted like a less vinegary version of ketchup. My huge gripe was that everyone got their food 5 minutes after ordering. It's like they didn't put in our order till after our appetizer was fully eaten... the service wasn't friendly either. It was just a cut dry barely spoke to us kind of service. We barely got one soda refill and they made us drink the melted ice (tablespoon worth of liquid) before they would refill it. We ordered the lamb korma and sahi paneer. The curries were OK. The rice was slightly undercooked. The naan was great though. I've definitely had better here in Fresno. If I was going to spend $15 on a bowl of curry, I would hope it wasn't bland and just meh. Dined in for dinner a few weeks ago. We got greeted as we entered and was told to take a seat at any table. Noticed they were busy for take out orders the lady in the font was busy taking phone orders so we just decided to take a menu. We ordered samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, lamb curry, dal soup and kheer for dessert. The entrees that we ordered comes with basmati rice. They also give you the option to choose the level of spice. My fiance and I enjoyed the food it was delicious. I had the butter chicken and it was on point. The garlic naan was one of the best I've ever had. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. It was the first time I had the lamb curry, dal soup and kheer. The kheer I didn't enjoy so much there was a ginger taste to it and I didn't like the strong taste to it especially for dessert. My husband and I ordered the butter chicken, saag with chicken and garlic naan. The butter chicken was very flavorful and was generous, as was the saag with chicken. Both entrees came with rice.
