This is the best place! We drive 30 minutes to this place and never regret going there, even just for picking up food. We have a local place but this is consistently delicious. We usually get their lamb tikka and their butter chicken along some vegetable dish to round it out. Even if you eat all the protein the thick sauce should be saved. The dishes are flavorful and their spice levels are perfect. Mild is mild and spicy has the right amount of kick. Naan is pillowy, stretchy, and the char gives it a depth of flavor. Everyone we have introduced it to has said they cant get enough of it. There is something for everyone: fish, meat, veggies. I can't recommend this place enough. This place is one of my favorite places in Fresno to grab Indian food. While the chefs in the back almost seem to be bothered by you when you order, their food is absolutely incredible, and it's worth getting the odd looks! This place is pretty much a hole in the wall, but it has enough space for about maybe forty people to dine comfortably. What they lack in space, they make up for in flavors. Everything that I've ever eaten here has been outstanding and wonderful! I personally think they have some of the best butter chicken in town. Their vegetable briyani is one of my go-to's and something that I constantly order. The naan is always fresh and flavorful and leaves me wishing that I ordered more. Food was delicious and Id definitely come back. Things we tried; Rice Samosas Garlic Naan Goat curry Chicken curry Veggie curry I asked for spicy on the goat curry and man they did not dissappoint. The naan was fresh hot and the samosas were big and perfect in taste. The medium spicy was pretty spicy but if you love that then I reccomend. Portions were a good size we got all that for 2 and it lasted us 3 meals. We did order take out but the peoe attending us very very warm and helpful. I highly reccomend and recommend the goat curry just be mindful because like all goat curries, they sloe cook and there is tiny bones but the delicious flavor Farrr exceeds the inconvenience. I came here to pickup some food to go on a Monday. The parking lot has plenty of parking but does get crowded around 3/4 pm when all of the dance classes / studios have parents dropping off there kids. Slice of India is also located next to spirit made cakes which I have been wanting to visit. I ordered palak paneer spicy, shrimp butter curry, kashmiri chicken, and garlic naan. I didn't know that they would give me a big tray of rice as well, but it was great because I didn't have to wait until I cooked rice before I could start eating. The palak paneer was great, spicy, and great flavor. The shrimp butter curry was really yummy as well. I also loved the jalfrezi chicken, it was cooked with bell peppers, red onions, tomato, and garlic. My food came out quickly! I will definitely be back if I ever want indian food. read more

Food was good tasting. I ordered butter chicken, samosas and naan. The only thing that threw me off was an employee with no gloves, squeezing all this sauce from a big spoon with bare her bare hands into a container. I don't know if these employees go through food serve safety trainings. read more

First things first if you're gonna be doing takeout/delivery this isn't a bad restaurant at all. Food is good and that's pretty much it. We came in today to sit down and eat and I just have to say this. Where is the air conditioning or at least something to cool people down we were there for I would say less than an hour, but we couldn't even finish our food because the heat got to us. Owner is extremely kind. This is my favorite place to get Indian food, although I only get Togo, i can honestly say it travels well. Garlic Naan is always good. Tandoori chicken is great. All of their curries are great, but we always come back to the Chefs Special Chicken Curry and the Tikka Masala, which are exceptional alongside samosas and garlic naan. Their food is amazing and their service has always been friendly with me. The ambiance is welcoming and calm when I do eat at the restaurant. My friend an I came here for dinner the other night. When we walked in the staff was laying in the booths napping and it had a weird smell inside. It was very humid inside as well. I was a bit turned off but my friend insisted they had good food. Service was not that great and you also can not order an appetizer. I asked for a couple sides to have with our drinks to start off and the waiter said no we have to put your whole order in at the same time. I felt pressure to order so I went with Chana Masala. The food was decent but the service made us feel rushed. The place wasn't crowded at all so I don't know what the hurry was. I gave it 3 stars because of ambiance and service was not good. Dined in for dinner a few weeks ago. We got greeted as we entered and was told to take a seat at any table. Noticed they were busy for take out orders the lady in the font was busy taking phone orders so we just decided to take a menu. We ordered samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, lamb curry, dal soup and kheer for dessert. The entrees that we ordered comes with basmati rice. They also give you the option to choose the level of spice. My fiance and I enjoyed the food it was delicious. I had the butter chicken and it was on point. The garlic naan was one of the best I've ever had. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. It was the first time I had the lamb curry, dal soup and kheer. The kheer I didn't enjoy so much there was a ginger taste to it and I didn't like the strong taste to it especially for dessert. Came here on a Friday night around 6ish and the place was packed. We got last booth table and attended to immediately. Tikka masala, saag paneer and lamb vindaloo- all medium spice level. Definitely has a kick to it. Comes with basmati rice. We ordered garlic naan too which had more garlic spice than garlic bits on it. All quite tasty. Not a fan. We ordered the chicken wings and the sauce actually tasted like a less vinegary version of ketchup. My huge gripe was that everyone got their food 5 minutes after ordering. It's like they didn't put in our order till after our appetizer was fully eaten... the service wasn't friendly either. It was just a cut dry barely spoke to us kind of service. We barely got one soda refill and they made us drink the melted ice (tablespoon worth of liquid) before they would refill it. We ordered the lamb korma and sahi paneer. The curries were OK. The rice was slightly undercooked. The naan was great though. I've definitely had better here in Fresno. If I was going to spend $15 on a bowl of curry, I would hope it wasn't bland and just meh.
