8/03/24 Getting lunch! Veggie samosas, roti, chicken masala made spicy and basmati rice ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 25 minutes. I went in to get it. It's an Indian grocery store. Lots of goods!! Nice worker. Order was ready and taken after I paid for it. Worker, maybe owner seemed a little irritated from a young kid that just left, but, hopefully, the lunch will be good! Lunchtime! Chicken tikka was Really good! Not real spicy, but still had a nice kick to it. Basmati rice was fresh & tasty! Perfect with the chicken tikka. Veggie samosa was Great! LARGE & Really tasty! The samosa sauce that came with ur was Great too! Mother said hers Great! She really enjoyed it! Okay service. Hope his day gets better! Great lunch with lots of leftovers! I ordered here from Uber Eats so I can't speak on the service or ambiance. But the food was good... definitely a unique style of butter chicken. I have eaten a lot of authentic Indian food and I didn't particularly get an authentic feel when eating from here. The food itself was good, just not amazing. And the garlic naan was just ok as well. Tried this place again for some takeout and I just can't recommend it. The biryani and saag were ok. The pakora tasted good but were very soggy. Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were bland, watery, and very light on the chicken. The garlic naan needed some garlic. Almost everything needed salt. I never thought I'd have indian food that lacked flavor. Combine that with the lack of cleanliness of the store and some observed problematic food handling behaviors, and I don't think I'll be back. read more

Let's be clear off the bat, in case there is confusion. This is not a restaurant. This is an order and go place that is located inside a market. Solid food. Butter chicken was the best. Saag paneer was fine (huge pieces of paneer in it), and the dal was made with a lot of ginger, which my partner really liked. The chana masala was also solid. Samosas were really good. The tamarind chutney was less chutney and more sauce, but mixed with the green chutney, was very good. And the flavors of the filling were delicious. The owner is really nice. You might have to wait a bit for your food - we called it in, and he said it would take an hour for pickup. In the meantime, you can do some shopping. As for parking, it's Fresno, so there is parking aplenty. read more

The stuff we got mild has the same heat as the spicy stuff. I bumped the review up to 5 stars simply because the man working there...assuming it's the owner..was super nice. The food was OK. The food was not bad, but not the greatest I've had. The only reasons for the 2 stars, is that the place is DIRTYYY. The menu we ordered off of looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. We ordered anyway, because it had good food reviews... Another issue is that the butter chicken we ordered had at most, 10 small cubes of chicken(not worth the $13) while the chicken tikka had triple that amount of chicken. The worst Indian food in town. Had it delivered by UberEats but would not let me leave a review. Food is either frozen and then microwaved or just watered down a plain. Asked for extra spicy chicken curry. Tasted like a bland shredded chicken tortilla soup. Extremely watery and bland, no spice. Tamarind sauce for the naan came pre packaged in clear plastic pouch. Extremely thick like syrup and overly sweet. Butter Chicken at least had some flavor but the top was room temp and the middle was nuclear in temp, again, probably microwaved. Rice and naan was good but how hard is it to screw up bread and rice? It's been quite a while since I visited the shop, but stopped by on Diwali to purchase some sweets for my neighbors. The gentleman who runs the store was ready to help the moment I stepped inside. I bought two pounds of sweets that looked great, smelled fantastic and according to my neighbors, tasted wonderful too. The store could use a bit of tidying up, but I'm guessing that is partly down to the nature of having large quantities of bulk items like rice/lentils in such a small space. Either way, I'll be back. I've had the samosas in the past and I really wish I had picked some up on this last visit. Next time for sure! read more

If you order through their website, I would recommend calling to make sure it's ready- don't trust the automated text/emails. This is a little shop with Indian spices and needs if you are cooking... but they also have takeout. Know that everything you order is cooked fresh.. so usually you have abt a 30-45 min wait. I call my order in knowing this. The butter chicken is really one of my favorites, and couple that with basmati rice and garlic naan... you will be pleased! read more

I am not sure why this doesn't pop up when I search "Indian food" on yelp even in Clovis. We ordered take out. I don't believe you can dine in because it's a market with a kitchen. The online order option didn't work. It was around 6-7pm. I called the order in. They said it would be 45 mins. It was ready in 30. Nice. The food was pretty good. The owner was pleasant. It was cheaper than dining in a restaurant. The prices for the samosas and veggie rolls were decent. 75 cents a piece. The main entrees were $8.99+. I ordered chicken tikki masala, garlic naan, samosas, veggie roll, gobi aloo sabji (cauliflower and potatoes), tikki channa, and basmati rice... for 2. It all hit the spot. Everything was nicely and securely packaged to go. I've had some really good gobi aloo sabji at slice of India and it was hard to compare it to that. Ordered dinner here last night and it was very good. The flavors were next level and we even branched our a bit from our usual order and it was awesome. We got both butter chicken and chicken curry, both which were nicely spiced and very flavorful. We also tried a cauliflower and potato dish called Gobi Aloo Sabji which was next level wonderful. Favorite thing we had by far. The rice was also really well cooked and the Garlic Naan was good too. We ordered everything Mild and still felt like our faces were on fire at the end, but it was well worth it. We will def go back here next time we get a hankering for Indian food. Ordered via grub hub for my boys and I tonight. Was a hit and miss. 1. Tandoori Chicken was glad great half dry as heck. 2. Chicken Tiki masala one had chicken (mild) and one had maybe 8 small pieces (medium). So mainly sauce. 3. Rice ok but clumpy 4. Half naan was crispy like wafer cookie and half very nice. 5. Uhhh these samosa looks like frozen samosa that they just fried quickly, they were super small too. When I got my order, I was wondering how 10 samosa could fit inside this small box and when I looked, it's cause they were small also. Compare these to the other pictures, their 5 samosas filled up the same size box while 10 small one filled up mines. Taste was decent but not the same. My son just told me that today.. cause my wife called to place an order.. he was so rude over the phone my wife had to Hang up.. I believe he's mentally ill.. Went here couple of weeks ago. Like someone else mentioned this place is very very unhygienic and unsanitary. The kitchen is very very dirty and it's surrounding area. They didn't wash there hands and tasted from the serving spoons. 2nd the food is very very expensive. $13 for a pint of food that is mostly sauce and 5 pieces of chicken. The food tasted ok but praying I don't get sick or hepatitis. The people are friendly but I don't know how they passed a health inspection or even if they had one. Stopped into this market to pick up some spices and ingredients for a butter chicken dish that I was making. I am a bit disappointed in my experience as I feel as though the experience that I had, does not reflect the rating. The employees weren't too helpful or friendly. The store was dusty and disorganized. Only about 50% of the merchandise had prices (so it was questionable, if the right prices were being charged). If you are looking to pick up a few rare ingredients to cook with, this place will suffice, however dont have high expectations, you will be disappointed.
