Went on Open Table to find a dinner spot and this was the first option. People are right that this restaurant is super clean and the food is flavorful and excellent. Our server, Sendeep was super nice. We would definitely come back.
This is my second visit to this venue. The food was excellent. I really loved the buffet as there is a wonderful assortment of curries, vegetable, and meat dishes. There's also some desserts if you still have room after trying everything. The staff are all very welcoming. The ambiance was great. I loved the background music, decorations and lighting. It had a very home-y charm. I highly recommend this venue. Will go again soon! :). 10/10
We came on a Saturday and were surprised they had the buffet open but opted to do dining instead. The butter chicken was our favorite. The chicken was tender, sauce was creamy and spicy just how we wanted it. The lamb korma was good but the lamb pieces itself were on the saltier end. The palak paneer was okay, with their paneer pieces smaller than what I've had at other places. The place has a nice formal feel and server was great. However we were sitting for awhile waiting for the check and no one informed us we had to go pay at the front. Overall, good place to have some Indian food.
My friend and I visited this establishment on a weekday evening and enjoyed our time there. More people were coming around 7/8 pm than there were present at 6 pm for whatever reason. This place bills itself as a fine dining establishment and it did feel that way. The servers were trained well and helpful when we were ordering. She also mentioned that since they are a newer establishment (around 4 months old), that their menu was small but they had room to make dishes that we might suggest if they had the ingredients, and I thought that was special. But we ordered the chicken tikka masala and the palak paneer. We ordered it mild, on a scale of mild to hot. The dishes were perfectly mild and not spicy at all. The spices were good, though I would say that the palak paneer could have used a bit more flavor. The chicken in the tikka masala could have been a little more tender, as it was bordering a little tough. I really liked that they brought out complimentary Indian thin chips topped with veggies and multiple sauces on the side. That was a tasty treat. The naan was freshly baked and delicious. My only thing is that the dishes did not come out hot, but slightly warm. But overall we enjoyed our food. We received warm towels to wipe our hands and mouth after our meal. Folks checked in on us throughout our meal as well. We were charged around $64 (includes tip) for the two dinner entrees, naan, and one side of rice, so this place is a little more on the pricy side. I would probably return and try other dishes.
I was happy to try a new Indian restaurant in town. The room is very open and a bit too bright, but it looked modern with some very cool pictures on the wall. Everybody there was super friendly and helpful. Our wages was extremely attentive, nice and helpful. Now for the food. I liked that we were able to order the food at whatever spice level we wanted ( 1 to 10) as we all have much different tolerance levels. .We ordered the tandoori chicken which came out quickly on a hot plate and it was delicious. Afterwards, we got the Palak Paneer (spinach and Indian cheese- my go-to dish whenever I eat Indian food )an eggplant dish, and a lamb dish. The flavors in the eggplant dish were good but the other two were a bit bland. The big issue we had with it was that it was swimming in grease. It was all over our plates as we ate. It was a bit much. On top of that, it was a bit pricey. But it did feel a little upscale. I hope to give it another chance in the future.
Mirchi Masala delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The service is attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between vibrant and relaxed. And the gulab jamun is the best I've ever had! Easily one of the best spots in Fresno. I highly recommend!
My pictures don't do any justice to the taste of food and the service you receive as soon as you walk in to door. This was one of the best finds in our way to Yosemite. Everyone was so welcoming from the get go. The best part about this restaurant was that they accommodate Jain restrictions and other allergies with almost everything on their menu. The owner himself is Jain and a very great host. Everyone came and checked on us and our time here was just amazing. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Their bread pakora reminded me of my childhood in Mumbai. Everything here is made to order and the taste was really fresh. Our entire order was Jain friendly but tasted exactly it would taste if it wasn't Jain. I definitely recommend gajar halwa and kulfi, the combo when I mixed it was really delicious. I can probably go on and on about the taste and service but even the restaurant was very clean especially for an Indian place and the ambiance was very nice too. I will definitely revisit the place whenever I'm in Fresno or passing by it.

Butter chicken was good but a little bit more tomato flavor than what I am used to. Garlic naan was to die for. Curry mushroom was really nice and good as vegetarian option. We also had friend fish seasoned well and slightly crispy. Overall great experience would recommend.
This might have been my favorite Indian experience in a restaurant. The soup, Murgh Shorba was spicy and delightful, and the Chicken Rogan Josh was fantastic. It was late on a Friday and they treated me amazingly well!

2/15/25 Hot and new! Must try! Getting lunch! 2 veggie samosas and salmon with veggies ordered. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 20-30 minutes. I went to get it shortly later. Very nice, classy restaurant. Lots of seating! Definitely pricey! Hope it's good! A worker greeted with order in hand. Paid for it with a guy staring me down and not really welcoming at all. Why? Odd. I smiled at him and he gave me a stern look. Don't get it. Thankfully, after paying, 2 kind workers said thank you and I was honestly, really happy to be leaving. Lunchtime! Order split! Veggie samosa was good. Small, but they gave us 3 in 1 order. Extra. Really good sauces with it. Salmon with veggies was really good! Nice flavor with the way it was seasoned, sauce that came with it added a nice spice and fresh veggies. Mother said hers was really good. Good service from the kind workers & good lunch! Recommended!
This place is off the chart. The service is unreal. We had multiple people tending to us and each was so respectful. I don't usually like Indian food and this place knocked my socks off! I will be back regularly!
I went to Mirchi Massala on Saturday for the lunch buffet ($25/person) [pricing may be different on the weekdays, I did not ask]. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. There were 6 different meat options (butter chicken, chicken curry, tandoori chicken, goat curry, chili chicken, and a ground meat with potato dish that I didn't catch the name of) as well as roughly 6 vegetarian options. I tried to get a little of everything and was not disappointed with the food. There were varying spice levels throughout and each dish was seasoned well (in my opinion). I felt that the quality/seasoning of the food was supported by the price. The offered variety was great! I had rice pudding for dessert and enjoyed the flavors that were presented; not overtly sweet and had a good mix of spices present. Dirty dishes were quickly taken away and everyone I talked to was friendly. If I had any suggestions, it would to perhaps leave a pitcher of water out on the table for easy refills. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and look forward to coming back for the buffet!
First time trying and experience was nice. Customer service was good and their staff was sweet. Inside was really bright and upscale like. We shared all dishes and we were content. Butter chicken tasted real tomatoe-y 5/10 Chai was bomb and so was the rice pudding. 10/10 Samosas 10/10 Garlic naan 9/10 Fish 8/10 Mushroom massala 9/10 Need to come back for the lunch buffet. WOW! The location is at First and Shaw, where the previous 'Thai House' was for many years. HOW they transformed the interior, is nothing short of AMAZING ! I couldn't help myself, I was taking photos as I came through the door, because it was THAT impressive! It is one of the cleanest, most pleasant dining environments in Fresno! Their floors absolutely gleam! Pleasant Indian music plays in the background, creating a peaceful atmosphere. We came in at the end of the lunch buffet about 45 minutes before they closed. EVERY dish on the buffet that we tasted was flavorful, fresh and perfectly spiced. I especially enjoyed the eggplant dish. With the buffet, you have a choice of roti or naan. We chose the garlic naan, and it was one of the BEST that we have ever had (and we have had our share)! If you enjoy Indian food, this is the place! There is yogurt sauce available for the fresh vegetables. And the 'Sweet Carrot' dessert (I think flavored with fennel/anise seed) was delicious. It would be helpful to have the dishes on the buffet labeled, for people like me, who can't always tell what the dishes are, by just looking at it (WINK-WINK). ;) read more

I came here cus I was craving Indian food. I wanted to give this place a try since it was HOT AND NEW at the time and had good reviews. The place was big but empty. Again, they were new. The girl taking my order was really nice. The guy was too. I believe he was the manager or owner. I was really looking forward to ordering some kind of combo. I think it's called thali?? I'm not sure on that but something that came with different little dishes so I can taste different curries. He said they didn't have it right now and was working on getting it on the menu soon. Lowkey everything was expensive to try to get two different curries so I just was gonna go with my usual butter chicken. I think I woklda been safe with that. BUT NOOOO, my ass wanna be spontaneous today and just go out the box. I asked them to suggest me something good, they recommended something with fruits and nuts and it seemed off putting to me but they assured me it was tasty.. i didn't wanan do it cus I was afraid if I didn't like it then it would be a waste and I'd still be hungry. So their second suggestion was the goat curry. I was afraid of it being gamey.. he assured me no. Then I asked for it to be extra spicy. Ordered a green chili naan and garlic one on the side. Left to grab Starbucks since it's in the same plaza.. came back waited a lil and seen my food was ready. Went in to grab it and they told me they gave me complimentary side of basmati rice. Alright bet! Went home eager AF to try the food. I seen they even packed me some plates! Very nice. I tried the curry and it was straight. A hint of spice, not really spicy like I asked. not gon hold them cus all Indian places I been to done that to me. Tried the meat and dammit! Lowkey gamey.. tbh it wasn't too bad cus the curry was actually good but I think I won't order goat next time. At any place. I learned my lesson. The naan was both really good and tbh I didn't care much for the rice. I probably won't be back until I see they have the thali option on their menu cus I really did want to try the butter chicken. read more

To start off the service is amazing, the servers and owner are very nice and gave recommendations to me and my friend who aren't very familiar with Indian food. I saw some reviews about cold food, but I've been many times and this has never happened, our food always comes out quickly and hot off the stove. Very clean and fun dining experience, we always feel welcomed when we come in! read more

Best butter chicken I've ever had!! The owners are very kind and the service was phenomenal. You can adjust your spice level (0-10 range) to personalize your meal. Will be back again!!! read more
