We found this place because of Yelp...and it did not disappoint! We had excellent service and tried several dishes that were excellent!! We will be back for sure now as this is our favorite Indian place now.

We enjoyed the Indian dishes we selected. The lamb in the lamb biryani was so moist and tender. It was a good amount of lamb. The lamb curry sauce was good, eating it with the fluffy and fragrant basmati rice. The Amritsari fish tikka came out on a sizzling platter. The fish was flaky, soft and delicious! The garlic naan was garlicky delicious! The waitress came to check on us a couple of times. Even the chef came out to greet us and of course we let him know how delicious the dishes were. The restaurant was clean. I liked the lighting with the hanging lights over our table. It felt cozy and relaxing. They had a wall of portraits on one side of the restaurant and a bicycle on another wall. There are free parking stalls in front of the restaurant. They have two restrooms.

Starting off with the good. Good service. The waitress was attentive; we didnt wait long to order or get our food. Going on with the good. The lamb tikka masala and the butter chicken was so tender and delicious. Great flavor. Garlic Naan was also excellent. Exactly what you would want. Okay the very bad. The coconut shrimp looked amazing but was salty. Surprisingly it wasnt boxed shrimp which was appreciated. Thought it was a one off and decided to eat it with the rice to balance, which my husband did and I only had one. I also ordered the saag also. It was like a plate of salt, adding rice did not help. I had one spoonful and left the entire dish. I let the waitress know but she just explained they add salt and sometimes people don't like it. Didn't offer to remake it or take it off. Wanted to really like this place but will not be returning. There are better places elsewhere.

I've previously reviewed them. Been here 3 or 4x. This is the best Indian place in Fresno.

Came here for the first time for my SIL's bday and it did not disappoint. Everything, and I mean everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I was shocked at the bill because we ordered 10+ dishes and it wasn't too expensive. One of the best Indian food I've ever had and I will be going back with my family. Give this place a try and you will be coming back. Service was great, and the wait for the food was pretty quick. I just wish they were closer to me, but other than that...so so good!

We went to BAY LEAF after really long time. Let me tell you the service & food was really bad. I ordered HAKKA NOODLES for my son without any spice but it was really spicy & before I serve to my son there were hair in the food. They used to be really good with the service & food but it was really worse to eat there. NEVER EVER GOING BACK

This is such a hidden gem! The food was delicious, hot, and fresh. My son had the paneer wrap which was huge, and my husband had the goat kadai, and I had tandoori chicken. The portions were generous and the prices good and the chef even came out herself to make sure the food was tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Second time we've been here and we wanted to try a few new things. Food this time was as delicious as before. Ambiance is still very cute and eclectic -- we enjoyed the Indian music playing. The service is still friendly and excellent -- food came out extremely fresh and hot and clearly wasn't sitting around. We miss the fun robot a bit -- but we assume that was just due to covid and it's no longer needed. One new item we tried this visit was onion bhaji as an appetizer with a couple of different chutneys. This arrived to the table hot and crispy and perfectly cooked. We haven't tried these before but they reminded us of onion rings, but with Indian seasonings. They weren't in "ring" form though. The onions were perfectly cooked -- not under- or overcooked. And the batter was light and crispy. Those were great. Another new item we tried here was shahi paneer and it compared favorably to shahi paneer we've had at other places -- paneer cubes in a delicious creamy sauce with a bit of a bite to it (we ordered everything "medium" spice). The garlic naan was a highlight -- just the perfect combination of crispy and chewy and slightly charred. The aloo gobi was excellent -- because it is not a "sauced" dish, at some places the aloo gobi can be a little too dry or bland -- but this aloo gobi was cooked with plenty of oil and onions and was really delicious. We'll definitely continue to come back here.

Wow! Stopped in for their lunch buffet on a weekday and I was really impressed. Not a huge variety, but everything was excellent. Pakora was crispy, chicken korma was not dry, tandoori chicken was super flavorful. The people working there were very nice. $14.99 gets you all you can eat entrees, naan (I got garlic) and a drink (I got a mango lassi. I think this is one of the better deals around.

My dad chose the chicken biriyani (apologies if spelled wrong) and it can definitely feed a community. It also has a bit of spice to it, tolerable but might be much for those who are spice sensitive. This is definitely one to share for the table! My uncle had the chicken tikka masala and I had the butter paneer, both flavorful! The samosas were probably my favorite out of everything we ordered! My only con with the place is the food can be a little pricey for the amount, minus the chicken biriyani. But overall, yummy food!

The folks who run this place seem to really care about the quality of the food and the experience the guests have. Unlike our first visit on Valentine's Day which was very busy, we came back on a weekend evening this fall, and there were only a couple other diners. It seems like "the new normal" is that most business for these mom-and-pop type restaurants appears to be by Doordash, Grubhub, UberEats -- even if they're making plenty of sales, very few people come in and sit down. It's odd. You can no longer judge how good a restaurant will be by how many people are seating having dinner on a Saturday night. But despite not very many people dining in, it's a comfortable, welcoming, clean space. Everything was still fresh, delicious, and very similar to last time, EXCEPT: The main update I wanted to give is that the little "glitches" I noticed when the place was brand new are all gone now. This is just as I expected, but I wanted to let Yelpers know this. So yes, this time the got everything we ordered, we got sauces with the appetizer, and we were given full-size dinner plates. Love those black lentils. Everyone: go eat them!

Then take your time checking out each aisle. They have a variety of rice imported from India, with several brands of Basmati which is the staple used in Indian Cuisine.
