TLDR: The drive-in experience at this Sonic is not particularly compelling but it's still better than the drive-thru. Food-wise, the only thing that interests me is the happy hour pricing on slushes and limeades. Although this location has a drive-thru, I recommend the drive-in experience because it's really the only reason to come here and you won't necessarily get faster or better service waiting behind 4-8 other cars at the drive-thru. When you pull into a numbered drive-in stall, you can take your time browsing the menu before pushing the red button to order. After the stall attendant takes your order and repeats it back to you, you can either pay by dipping your card into the magnetic strip reader (whoa, outdated) or pay when the car hop comes to your car with your order. My total waiting time from ordering to eating was less than five minutes at a drive-in stall, but the ordering process was rife with difficulty. It was a little windy, so the speaker attendant had trouble hearing me. He also didn't confirm whether my payment went through, and just abruptly ended the call after repeating my order back to me. The carhop was friendly, but she wasn't wearing the signature roller skates that Sonic carhops are supposed to wear. I'm guessing this is due to the severe lack of job applicants who know how to roller skate (they're all teenagers). I ordered a standard burger combo with fries, which was fine, but the real knockout was the peach slush. The two mints that came with my order were a nice touch, as were the extra napkins. I'm surprised almost of all the recent reviews for this location are complaining about the drive-THRU rather than drive-IN, since the latter is an experience unique to Sonic and the time spent waiting just to reach the drive-thru window is noticeably longer than at a drive-in stall. Why people are somehow expecting fast-food service here while idling in their cars and wasting gas like they're at a McDonald's drive-thru is an interesting consumer behavior enigma. (Spoiler: it's because most of them are paying with cash and/or not using mobile/online ordering.) There's also a dining room inside if you want to order at the counter, although most people don't even know this is an option.

Breakfast brioche

What?!? No footlongs for breakfast? Bathrooms locked past opening time. When unlocked, the huge rock as an alternative for a working door lock was inventive but very difficult for me to maneuver. The best part was the breakfast brioche sandwich...it was huge and well made. One of the better ones I have had.

The food is pretty good for fast food. Love their hot dog choices. They're all pretty good. My favorite is the New Yorker. They serve fast and on skates. All their shakes are good. I love the strawberry cheese cake!!!

More about the experience (and shakes) than the food. Recommend the chili cheese tots!

Drive thru window, he has not moved in 30 minutes, standing there facing the other way!

The staff: The cashier was busy playing on the cell phone instead of taking my order. The cashier then took my order and told me the amount that I need to pay and just walked away from the register to go back on the cell phone. The cashier came back 15-25 minutes later to take my cash. I told the cashier I wanted two drinks, but the cashier only charged me for one because that person was busy playing with their cell phone. I do not understand where the supervisor or manager was at this location. A line started to form here, and this cashier took long to help these customers as well. A few customers even left and stated that this was ridiculous. Pricing: The prices here are like any fast-food restaurant that comes up to $8 and up for a meal. The restaurant was clean but there were no garbage debris anywhere visible to the customers. No. 1: The 4 cheeseburgers, french fries, chicken rings, and a medium coke was what I had ordered. After consuming this food, it gave me a stomachache and I wasn't feeling good for the rest of the night. I do not believe that they cooked the food all the way as they were operating at a snail's pace. Overall: I do not recommend this location, and I would never come back here after the terrible service and the stomachache from the food.

Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it worth seeing once? Also yes. It has that big, theatrical, old-school deli energy where the portions are part of the show. That said, I'm not in the camp that every good restaurant is automatically a five-star spot. When everything is a five, it gets harder to separate the truly elite places, the hometown heroes, and the restaurants worth planning a trip around. Harold's lands for me as a very solid three-point-something, graciously rounded to four because they have a Marine Corps flag hung in reception. The food was good, the portions were whatever you make it, and the whole place has novelty value without feeling like a total gimmick. The sandwiches are large enough to satisfy a hungry, medium-sized guy without completely defeating him. And honestly, on a menu full of meat, my favorite thing may have been the healthy pickled salad/pickle bar situation -- bright, crunchy, and a great counterbalance to the heavier deli classics. My biggest knock was the service atmosphere. There seemed to be an army of staff, but not much interaction beyond their phones. Maybe I caught it at an off time, and maybe the place comes alive when it's packed, but that kept the experience from feeling warmer or more special. Overall: fun stop, good food, convenient location, and worth doing if you're passing through. Memorable four.

I wanted a 2- piece combo deal made from a breast and wing, regular spice. I found out immediately that those chicken parts were never on the menu, but the only choices were legs and thighs. The white meat was only available for sandwiches. That was disappointing. So I defaulted to a Chicken Deluxe Sandwich Combo (lettuce, tomato, fries, soft drink & Mango Peach Pie), on what appeared to be something like a Martin Potato Roll. It was a solid clucker sammy; good size fillet, semi crisp coating, simple mayo-based house sauce - but not comparable to the much larger, crisper Popeye's version; not to mention that the Pop-I store also sold all pieces of chicken separately and in combination. I didn't have to compromise. The fries are thinner than most fast food shops , but had good crunch and saltiness. The tropical juice collection is unique and the most distinct and flavorful part of the Jollibee's menu. I can't speak to their noodle offerings as I haven't tried them yet. I enjoyed the Mango Peach Pie (deep fried wrap), and their freebee special that I lucked into. Sweet and crisp like a dessert egg roll. This shop appears to be a favorite of the local Pinoy community which adds a nice cultural touch to the ambiance here. 3.5 Southeast Asian Stars.
