Tonight I ordered my daughter, a kid's meal cheeseburger @ 8:00 pm. When I got home and my daughter was eating the cheeseburger.She said it tasted weird. So lot took a bite and it was pork. I opened it up and it was a sausage patty on a hamburger bun. I called the manager immediately. He told me the sausage patties and hamburger patties are side by side in the freezer. And the hamburger meat picked up the smell of pork. I told him this was a sausage patty on the hamburger bun that I had taken a bite . And open the bun and there was a sausage patty. I told him the sausage patties and the beef need to be clearly marked in the freezer. Thank God, she is not allergic to pork! He told me the management is aware of the 2 meats placed next to each other!! Ok. I will see about that! read more

Listen.. I've gone to the sonics off of wheeler road for years. Today made me not ever want to go back. The drinks were horrible and My sandwich was all wrong. They will mess up your order, they won't care at all. Only if you call the store to tell them, they messed up, and that you'll call corporate. The manager might give you a refund or give you a free mail. But that's about it. I would not recommend coming here at all read more

Went to Sonic on Wheeler Road Tuesday, May 14. We ordered a banana milkshake and a hot fudge milkshake. The banana shake had no bananas in it at all...only flavoring. We ordered extra hot fudge in the hot fudge shake. We were charged $1.50 extra for it. There wasn't even enough hot fudge to taste. I don't mind paying extra for the extra hot fudge but I do expect to get what I pay for. A waste of time and money. We won't be going back. Cook Out shakes are much better. read more

My service was horrible at the Wheeler Rd location in Augusta GA. I couldn't do an app order from the stall because of whatever they have going on there. I pressed the stall button and it took 10 minutes for a response yet I sat there and watched several workers giggle and laugh with the policeman than was parked in the stall and taking up 2 parking spaces. When the girl finally answered, she sounded like I was bothering her. I contacted customer service via message that included street name and city and state of location. They send me an email back and asked for the address and phone number for location. Then I realized, it's not just one location. It's the entire company. Customer service went out the window during the pandemic and has never returned. read more

This is the best Sonic in Augusta, food is always great, but most of all, the service is amazing. On days where I don't feel great I run by for a breakfast burrito and Migs is always fast, energetic, happy and friendly and it's honestly the reason I drive all the way out here. read more

First I must say the car hop was super nice and the guy taking my order was very friendly and repeated my order so I was happy. The bad news was I ordered chicken strips bbq dipping sauce with onion rings along with a large blast and an additional large order of tater tots. Did not have to wait long before I receive my order and headed back to the hotel it was around 5pm so I didn't check the order before I left No dipping sauce And I was charged for it No onion rings and the chicken strips were so over cooked I couldn't chew them so very disappointed just how hard is it to cook chicken strips and check to make sure the orders you give to customers are correct I guess they know they have already got your money and most people won't drive back I also wonder how many owners of there franchise read these reviews read more

I've been to this Sonic a few times. I never realized it was here until I met someone here. Now that I'm on this side of town more often, this location will see more of me!!! The food and service was great. I couldn't ask for anything better. When I come back I really want to try the new flavored lemonades. I am a super lemonade fan, so endless options of lemonades is right up my alley and I can see myself enjoying them all summer over ice or frozen!!! read more

Terrible service in the drive thru, at least three people who ordered after us in the drive thru got their food before we did (we only had two drinks sandwiches tots and fries). When the food did finally come I didn't notice until it was too late that the bag was leaking oil. So now I have grease stains on the front of my shorts that I get to wear around for the rest of the day through the airport. Also, there was grease pooled in the tot container that was leaking out. Service good and the half off drinks are to die for ! The staff at this one has been trained really good as far as service weather you go to the drive thru or stop in the pit to eat.The only small set back is on the burger they need a little more seasoning to make them snap at you but the chicken sandwiches and the hot dogs are great. The shakes and floats are fantastic with so many choices. Iced teas can go so many ways also want to cut back on calories order a unsweet tea and add peach or cranberry to it, less calories but a great taste unless your a sweet tea junkie and love your teas sweet.Tots are good not too greasy and not too salty I like mine with Buffalo sauce to give them that kick. We just left this sonic and the food was awful!!! I ordered a 3 piece chicken strip with tots asked for extra ranch but only got one. No ketchup or peppermints. Husband ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings they were burnt. This was awful they didn't even come back to check if we needed condiments. And no they weren't busy. Never again I see why they only have two stars but remember you have to at lease click one star to add a review. read more

Went there this am for a breakfast burrito. My bad....I should have known better. No eggs in the shell and 2 thin slices...I mean thin to the 10th power...of bacon. Wrapped in this way to big flour tortilla shell with traces on cheese melted into it. I actually removed the shell to avoid delayed stomach match of gluten against stomach acid. And nibbled on the egg thingy. But my tummy has hurt all day. First and last rodeo for me at sonics breakfast menu. They should stick to burgers and hotdogs. I was not going to yelp again. We Moved here in July, every time I've been to this location it has been cold while we're in the parking lot, so today I finally told myself to call and complain and they mentioned a cooking light is down... but every time we stop here the food is COLD , like it's been sitting out COLD... won't be wasting my $ here anymore. People want to get paid more yet they do halfa$$ work. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is my third time to visit this location and it has disappointed and failed 2 of 3 visits. I bought a frozen strawberry lemonade today and it is supposed to include a flavor add-in. I got charged an additional 30¢ for strawberry. See photo on this... Last time they charged me for the cherry in a cherry limeade. Both times the carhop argues with me and tells me I am wrong. I am not wrong, this location is either training their employees to nickel and dime their customers or they do not understand the menu. I wish I could get a survey receipt and really let sonic know what I think. I think I will write a letter to corporate after this visit. read more

The food is good and the car hops are super friendly. This location is right around the corner from my workplace and it's super difficult to ignore the siren call of a cold Cherry Limeade in the heat of June (or, really, late April thru September). I wont go in to the finer points of Sonic as a whole because every location is pretty much the same, but this location uses the digital screens that let you pay for your order with your card rather than turn it over to the car hop. Further, the car hops are very friendly and courteous (I know, I said that before, but it bears repeating). I find that to be a rarity these days. The food is done properly every time. I gave this place another try after months of not going and wont be going for a long time again. There were no cars in the drive thru. I ordered a #15 breakfast combo off thier menu then proceeded to sit and wait for over 7 minutes before i drove off. Yes I looked at my watch and timed it because of prior issues. I called to complain and got a "we will give you all this free stuff to make up for it." Well here is the problem. If i can't get my order why would I think you could provide me free stuff. Horrible. I ordered the asiago chicken caesar club sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the honey mustard swiss chicken club sandwich. Both are shown to get cheese and bacon. Both did not have either. I mean... There is cheese in the name. My boyfriend's sandwich didn't even have honey mustard, which again... Is in the name. Way to market your new sandwich. When the carhop brought us the food, my boyfriend asked her if there was ketchup in the bag. She just said uhh... We just told her to not worry about it. The sandwiches were a mess when we opened the bag they were in. Just chicken, lettuce, and tomato. These sandwiches were $4.89 a piece. Rip off. Pretty big let down. read more

Just left the Sonics on Wheeler Road. The ladies working tonight seemed more interested in the customers on the patio than the ones in the little spots. When I pushed the button to order, a few minutes went by before my order was even taken. The lady who took my order got it wrong (possibly because she was having a side conversation) waited over 15 minutes to get my food... and my burger was ICE cold. So cold the cheese had never melted on it and was still in its square shape. I ordered two sets of tater tots and got one set of tater tots and one fry... based on the service I got.. I would have been better off getting frozen burgers and heating them up in the microwave... because thats essentially what I had to do anyways. popcorn chicken was ok... just dry. read more
