Pretty good place on a cute street in North Augusta. Not overly expensive and they didn't have that obnoxious white ipad with the glaring tip screen. Just a nice jar. I was looking up ice cream in the area and saw they weren't to far from me. I took my kiddies and ventured over to North Augusta. They were busy and me and the kids looked over the little trinkets inside. They have fidget spinners, pop its, key chains, and little purses for kids at a very reasonable price. I was amazed to see that they offered Superman ice cream. That was my childhood favorite and I haven't seen it since I was a child. They had soo many good flavors that it was hard to choose. I ended up getting the Cookie Monster which is blue vanilla with Oreos and cookie dough, my kids both got waffle cones. The youngest ordered Birthday Cake and a biscotti type of ice cream that I have since forgotten the name of, but it was soo good! I ordered one scoop for the youngest and 2 for the oldest and they stacked it on. I willingly helped my baby girl finish her ice cream. My daughter and I visited to purchase ice cream, but upon entering, we were not greeted by any of the six Caucasian employees present. Despite making eye contact, they did not acknowledge us. Initially, I chose to leave, but my oldest child suggested we try again. Unfortunately, we were still not greeted, whereas two white females who entered after us received a warm welcome. I expressed my frustration and was met with silence. After leaving, I contacted the establishment to request a manager, but was told that none was available and offered to send an email instead. Pink Dipper has been a family favorite since childhood. My dad brought us here often. This is one of my favorite ice cream spots especially for my favorite Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Saturday, I had a dipped cone with Butter Cookie Crunch (samples first) and Butter Pecan. I will pass on the dipped waffle cone in the future. It was good but the cone was too sweet. I'll stick to the classic waffle cones. The service is always nice. They will allow you to same flavors to satisfy your curiosity which is absolutely lovely! I'm an ice junky so being able to sample different/new flavors is a great thing! Also, they make their waffle cones from scratch and are fresh. Once, I had a cone made fresh right in front of me!!! Definitely worth a stop if you're in North Augusta. Huge selection and delicious flavors with plenty of delicious mix ins, depending on the flavor. Staff rating depends on who is working and how busy the place is. I've had girls who seem to be in a rush and make me feel like they're trying to get rid of me and I've had super sweet, very helpful girls who make me feel like the most important customer. The store is cool, with limited seating, old school soda fountain place feel and at least one video game to play. Often times people sit outside on the benches to enjoy their ice cream. The perfect place to go when you want to sit 20 minutes because your card was charged wrong. Why? Because a cashier can't hold onto a card. One time was fine, but to drop it twice? Then, to talk wrongly out loud about a customer who is just trying to get ice-cream? Asking if I found it funny? No mask notice on the door from what I could see though so I didn't wear one. Found this place tonight and it's great! I've been looking for an ice cream place like this ever since I moved to Augusta. They make their own waffle cones which is a huge plus. Their waffle cones are great: sturdy enough to hold your ice cream but light enough to break off with an easy bite. And the waffle maker makes the place smell great! Another great thing about this place is that they aren't over priced! They're actually relatively cheap. 2 big scoops of ice cream with a waffle cone only cost about $4.50! And the scoops were about the size of a baseball so pretty awesome. The only downside to this place is that they don't make their own ice cream but the ice cream they use is made in Georgia and it's pretty good stuff. Also, they carry a ton of flavors so they will have a flavor for everyone! I like this place so much because it's a privately owned business and they got it right.
