The counter

I was looking up ice cream in the area and saw they weren't to far from me. I took my kiddies and ventured over to North Augusta. They were busy and me and the kids looked over the little trinkets inside. They have fidget spinners, pop its, key chains, and little purses for kids at a very reasonable price. I was amazed to see that they offered Superman ice cream. That was my childhood favorite and I haven't seen it since I was a child. They had soo many good flavors that it was hard to choose. I ended up getting the Cookie Monster which is blue vanilla with Oreos and cookie dough, my kids both got waffle cones. The youngest ordered Birthday Cake and a biscotti type of ice cream that I have since forgotten the name of, but it was soo good! I ordered one scoop for the youngest and 2 for the oldest and they stacked it on. I willingly helped my baby girl finish her ice cream. I thought it would break the bank and I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was a large fraction of what I normally pay at chain ice cream shops.

The Pink Dipper has been a go to for as long as I can remember... I moved to the area in 1981and had Cookies and Cream ice cream for the first time at the Pink Dipper in Aiken. Good Service, Good selection of Flavors and a small town feel is what makes the place great.

Pink Dipper located on Georgia Ave North Augusta, SC Food: Ok, stop the presses... I found my childhood favorite ice cream "Superman" It's been decades since I enjoyed a scoop, just as I remember so delicious! My wife got the chocolate mint and really enjoyed it. Service: The two young ladies working the counter were polite and accommodating. Ambiance: Giving an old fashioned ice cream parlor vide. Clean and orderly with swag.

This is one busy place. Half of the parking in the front was taken up by some event. Even with a line, the wait was short. The people behind the counter were very polite. There are a lot of small items for sale, like fidgets and toys. The single scoop seemed more like a double scoop. The ice cream was very smooth, like a high fat ice cream. There are a lot of fruit chunks in it. Even though the line was a little long, it was not noisy or chaotic. The decor reminded me of ice cream parlors from my childhood. If you like ice cream, and a good number of flavors, try them out.

Plenty of flavors to choose from and the kids that work there are super sweet. I got the Khalua Coffee and it has espresso beans in coffee flavored icecream with toffee pieces Delicious is an understatement! Make sure you try them out whenever you want to visit North Augusta!

Came here as a treat with the family. They have so many flavors to choose from, there is something for everyone! There was a little bit of a line when we arrived, but the staff made sure it kept moving. There is seating inside or outside, which was nice. A couple in our group got cones- just beware they do start to drip out of the bottom after the ice cream starts melting. Others of us got scoops in the little bowls, we didn't have to worry about it leaking. I've tried many of their flavors and love them all. This time I got the season flavor peachy peach and was again impressed! We will be back many times over the course of the summer!

Great stop for a cone or a cup of creamy ice cream. Be prepared to wait in line on the weekends when it's nice outside. The prices are reasonable and they have a good variety to choose from. The strawberry cheesecake was delicious! There is limited seating inside and the restroom could use a bit of a spruce up, but otherwise great local spot for a scoop!

The staff is very kind and super friendly. I love the feel of the place, truly a small town feel with hand scooped icecream with great flavors, there is a flavor for everyone. The prices aren't too big and it's a winner for me.

Pink Dipper has been a family favorite since childhood. My dad brought us here often. This is one of my favorite ice cream spots especially for my favorite Butter Pecan Ice Cream. Saturday, I had a dipped cone with Butter Cookie Crunch (samples first) and Butter Pecan. I will pass on the dipped waffle cone in the future. It was good but the cone was too sweet. I'll stick to the classic waffle cones. The service is always nice. They will allow you to same flavors to satisfy your curiosity which is absolutely lovely! I'm an ice junky so being able to sample different/new flavors is a great thing! Also, they make their waffle cones from scratch and are fresh. Once, I had a cone made fresh right in front of me!!! Oh boy, how delicious when it comes straight off the press! It still had a little warmth. They have changed their inside a good bit due to COVID. There's no inside seating anymore, but there's several spots outside to sit and enjoy your cold treats.

Such a cute and quaint ice cream parlor!! I sampled the Charlie Brown & Kahlua Chip ice creams and they both were delicious! But Babyyyyy, if you like coffee flavored ice cream then that Kahlua Chip is a DEFINITE MUST BUY!! I ended up purchasing a scoop of the Kahlua Chip and a scoop of Triple Peanut Butter! That Kahlua Chip was everything. I loved the toffee chips and espresso added!!! Mmmmmm!! I'm going to dream about that heavenly combination tonight!! Service, selection, and ice cream are superb!

As soon as you walk in a scent of home made ice cream cones hit you. I love coming here to grab some banana pudding ice cream or sea salt caramel. Definitely recommend this place. The place also has a nostalgic vibe

Brownie & chocolate peanut butter cookie dough

After our sign making class at AR workshop, we strolled across the street to think pink dipper. I tried the chocolate peanut butter cookie dough ice cream with a waffle cone. The cones were fresh and crunchy and they make them daily. The ice cream servings were huge! They offered free tastes on mini spoons in case you're unsure what to try. The owner was incredibly friendly, and provided us a little history about the restaurant (i.e it used to be a gas station, hence the bathrooms are outside).

Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

Pros: Nice waiter…read more Quick service Inexpensive Right next to the Riverwalk. Cons: A/C set very low, we were freezing Spinach dip was okay but salty and had a vinegary taste. Turkey and rice soup was very salty, not warm enough. The bread on our sandwiches were not a good quality... and not fresh Sides with sandwiches were subpar.... Regular chips on one and tasteless pasta salad on the other.

I know I hide my country upbringing well (aside from the accent-it is what it is), but have no…read moredoubt it's still there. I'm talking the kind of country that grew up on homemade biscuits and fried bologna, syrupy sweet tea and banana pudding out the oven, vegetables from the garden or from the jar (but before that, the garden). Yep, rocking chair on the front porch with a fly swatter in one hand and slice of watermelon in the other. So when someone posts a review about the quality of the country cooking here and photos of cornbread and a porkchop, you know I was a bit skeptical. I perused the menu and saw that fried chicken (the true test of country cooking) is only served on Wednesday's. So on a Wednesday I made my maiden voyage to the potential land of newfound love. Like other categories of restaurant/cafe, I have staples with which to test the overall quality. That day; the aforementioned fried chicken, mashed potatoes (or taters if you're from the South), green beans, a square of cornbread, a slice of lemon cake, and a glass of sweet tea. Now before I walk you through my tastebuds visit to heaven let me backup and get you to the front door. Plug the address into GPS. It is tucked away in a corner, hidden behind another restaurant, and sharing a parking lot with yet another restaurant. Like I said, use your GPS. Parking was a challenge at lunch so come early. When you walk in, the line forms to the left hand side and may already be backed up to you. But if it's a first visit, that'll give you time to see everything on the hot bar (written on the glass directly in front of you) and decide on which dessert(s) you want. Those are in the cooler in the middle (ranging from a slice of cake to slice of pie to banana pudding). After ordering you'll continue moving to the right until reaching the register. After paying, drinks are against the right hand wall. I personally recommend finding a seat in the "overflow" section (that's what it looks like to me). You'll find it around the corner, with four person tables awaiting. There are a few outside, with umbrellas, if the weather is right that day. Now back to my food ecstasy trip. I asked one of the team members floating around pouring tea just how sweet it was. She said something about "...cups of sugar" and the rest was a blur. I already knew it would be on point. I shared how I grew up with it leaving a sheen on your lips. She chuckled and stated I should be satisfied then with theirs. And I was. I had to slow myself down due to the knowledge too much before eating will leave you feeling nauseous. My lunch arrived, but it did not rest upon my plate long. I sampled the sides and cornbread then went straight for the wing. The chicken breast soon followed. I came up for air just long enough to get a refill of tea before intaking the lemon cake. The balance of sweet and tart, the airyness of the icing, and the moisture of the cake were all pure perfection. I debted going back for a slice of the strawberry, but already felt a food nap approaching. I am heartbroken that this was my first visit (as it has been around since 2017), but my wounds shall be healed with the application of more (and more) amazing food. Stop by today! Or at least the day they serve a item you really love. And don't forget dessert! Sidenote: With the fried chicken, you can choose between light or dark meat.

Food was good. Served quickly and everyone is super nice. Limited seating. Its not fancy but good…read morediner food.
