I just moved in a few doors down from this place, this past Saturday. I had eaten nothing and was feeling awful from the stressful move. My parents suggested we get some gyros from "the cute little greek place". One bite of their chicken gyro and my frown was turned immediately upside down. DELICIOUS! My fiance and I wolfed our gyros down, moaning like something out of a dirty movie. The chicken gyro was delicious and flavorful and juicy and they put a few french fries in it! I have never had french fries in a gyro before but it was life changing. I am looking forward to the nights when I dont feel like cooking so I can come a few doors down for this delight. Came here for lunch with the boyfriend and we had a pleasant meal that did not break the bank. Boyfriend is a fan of Mediterranean food and will happily eat it once a week so this review is really on his behalf. He ordered the mixed grill (contained pork souvlaki, thin cuts of lamb, and sausage). His absolute favorite of the dish was the lamb - he could not stop raving about how the lamb was spiced and prepared in a way such that the strong lamb taste is barely noticeable. Kept repeating during how meal his approval of the grilled pork souvlaki and the lamb. The sausage, he said, was just okay. As for me, I ordered the pork souvlaki sandwich which included tomatoes, red onions, fries, and a light but flavorful yogurt (?) Sauce. Although I am not that crazy about Mediterranean, I do occasionally enjoy it and this place is def. better than the average street cart in New York. Their side salad that comes with the platters includes feta cheese and provides a nice balance. Prior to our main courses, we had hummus along with a generous amount of fluffy pita bread. Total order was $30 with tax and tip, not bad for a meal for 2 that filled us both up. The meat was tender and juicy, potatoes had great taste and texture, salad had just enough feta cheese and dressing, and the gyro was generously filled with meat, feta cheese, tomatoes, tzaziki (sp?) sauce, and red onions. Came with a side of pita bread, still soft and hot when it came. Strangely enough, I think my side order of fries was missing, as was any sauce for the pita bread? Bad business practices. They did not deliver a food order to me. I asked for a refund, and they refused - Adam, a manager, said "it's a waste to us, and we're not going to lose money." Updated: for delivery only It's always something with this place! I don't think in the dozen or so times I've ordered from them that I've actually received what I ordered. There's always something missing or incorrect. Countless times I've paid for extra tzatziki and it doesn't arrive. Other times I ask to leave off certain items and they are there, other times I ask to remove items and they remove extra items not requested to be removed. I don't know if they are just rushing to get items out or what, but I'd really appreciate them reading the instructions and delivering the food o requested and paid for! read more

We ordered a variety of entrees, skewers and apps from here since we were hosting a group of close friends and relatives at our home. We love Greek food so we patronize many other Greek restaurants both in Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst area as well as Dyker heights. We know in depth pros and cons of each individual restaurant so we know what to get from a particular restaurant and then there is a couple that really stand out and do everything exceptionally. However this is one restaurant that people must stay away from and i would never ever recommend this restaurant to my loved ones, friends or even my worst enemies. Shockingly everything arrived cold. It is not the end of the world or so we thought that just heating them up in the oven and air fryer would do the trick to take of people who were starving and we hadn't ordered much else besides food from this restaurant. When we took our first bites we knew right away there was no chance of coming back from this disaster as food had no flavor. Meat were tough as leather and some of condiments tasted very stale. Tzatzikis were very watery and had no garnishes on it either which shows their lack of passion and love for what they serve to people because this is something they would whip up in massive batch and should really take care as it goes out to every single customer no matter what customers order from this restaurant. I hate to post a negative review as small businesses need to be thriving but many issues have to be resolved before they take our hard earned money and serve us worse than mediocre food. I've been hearing about this place for sometime now, so finally, we decided to give it a try. We dined inside, and I thought it was so cute. The little details of their interior really made a pleasurable dining experience. As far as the food goes, I was pleasantly surprised. I've never really had Greek food before so I went with the chicken gyro platter and got a shrimp skewer thingy too. My boyfriend also got the chicken platter. My boyfriends parents got a gyro platter and a gyro wrap. They delivered the warm pita basket first and as I went to snag a piece I was told it was for the platters. It looked and smelled soooo good. Upon delivery of our food I was handed a big portion! My only complaint was that there was feta cheese on the salad (not on the menu), and I'm personally not a big fan. The chicken was delicious, the fries and rice were delicious. Everything was great. I was so happy with my meal that I even took a to-go menu home as I've read their delivery is great too! The only issue was the service being a little slow even tho we were practically the only diners. My husband and I ordered take out from somethingreek two weeks ago and, when we got there, SOMEHOW we were given the right food but he was handed the wrong bill-- we were overcharged by $20. When he came out to the car with the food he said "How was two sandwiches $35? What else did you order?" He went back inside and the waitress said "OOPS, I gave you the wrong bill." Ours was half that. Can it be a coincidence that I was once charged $85 on a $42 bill when they processed my credit card, (someone gave themselves QUITE a tip) then given the wrong bill (but the right food) a separate time, by the same waitress? Still, I made the mistake of trying to order delivery today, and despite the fact that they have delivered to me before, she once again refused and said it was too far (I am equidistant from my friend who orders from there weekly- read my previous review.) Then she said it would be a $50 minimum. I said "When I spoke to the owner about this she said that wouldn't be the case anymore." She interrupted me and said "I am the owner's daughter." I said "Yeah, I know who you are, you're the one who overcharged me for takeout." I showed them my ID, the waitress looked at it, left, came back and proceeded to tell me that my REAL ID was FAKE. How she came to this conclusion is still beyond me, not using a scanner or blacklight but simply personal judgement (which was obviously awful). I ordered the Greek Burger and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Gyro; we ended up splitting both. The Chicken Gyro was flavorless... the chicken did not have any seasoning and the tzatziki sauce was tasteless as well. The pita bread it was served in was definitely pre-packaged and not baked fresh like most competitors. I'm very surprised since everyone was raving about this particular menu item in reviews. The Greek Burger Deluxe was tastier and appeared to be homemade; it was well seasoned and served with generous amounts of feta but it was also served on a doughy, pre-packaged bun. Just not my thing. The fries were bland and not seasoned at all. I should mention the service was REALLY great but it did not make up for the underwhelming food. Ordered online for the first (and last) time, and was NOT impressed. Placed my order through Seamless and waited roughly 40 minutes for my food. (Seamless predicted delivery in 30 - 40 min). The delivery man buzzed to get into my building, I let him up and waited over 5 minutes for him to come to my door. Finally I received a phone call from the delivery man who proceeded to tell me he went back to his car after he claimed to have repeatedly knocked, and rang my doorbell. I told him I'm home, and asked that he come back to my apartment because I didn't hear any knocking or bells. Buzzed him up again, and shortly after I heard him yell "Hellooooo?" FROM MY HALLWAY. I opened my door and he tried to tell me that my apartment number was wrong and pointed at the door he thought was mine. Funny thing is- that door isn't even labeled with an apartment number. I then pointed to my apartment number and corrected him. He barely apologized and walked away. On another note, I ordered a chicken gyro with tomato/feta salad and it was was...meh. The chicken, although flavorful, was very greasy. Portions are much smaller than another Greek place in Bay Ridge that I regularly order from.
