Hit or miss, sometimes a good meal and experience, sometimes not. It's that sort of thing that'll stop a regular from coming back when it happens too often. Liked this place a lot for a year or so, but even pre-covid things were starting to getting sloppy. From randomly uncooked chunks of chicken souvlaki to missing items in takeout orders, or rude service when dining in... you never knew what you'd get. Total grab bag. The food was generally good, but then other times... it was just bad. Dry rice, stale greasy gyro meat, dried out grape leaves, separated and rancid smelling tzaziki. I'm not sure what to say, honestly. One tip if you go, DON'T order the chicken gyro, it's absolutely awful. Old dried out scraps of shredded chicken that are entirely inedible. read more

The owners are always welcoming when I come in. Their takeout times are always punctual and their food is always delicious.

I had low expectations for this place. As I entered, there were only two parties dining. My expectations dropped lower after that. I walked in and was told to sit anywhere. I sat in the outdoor area, nice, comfortable and breezy compared to the feeling indoors. The service was very friendly and genuine but too slow. I was getting annoyed and tired waiting for my food and other condiments. I think this place can use a new look because the atmosphere is just off. Since I sat outdoors, I felt like I was just eating my takeout in my backyard. As I walked through the inside seating area, the air was stuffy and it felt like a cafeteria or pizza joint. It can be so much better. The food was above my expectations. I don't eat Greek food often nor do I know much about authentic greek food so all I can say was that the food was great! Hummus and Pita Bread - the hummus was finely blended with the right about of herbs and the pita bread was warm and soft. I wished it was a little more crisp though. The greek salad was good but sorry I had better. My salad was missing onions, weird. I could've used a little more cheese. I added a protein for a surcharge but the protein portion was way too small! Pork Souvlaki was decent. It was more tender and juicy than expected. I could use some more sodium but i should not. The lemon potatoes were very ordinary. Nothing special. The rice pilaf was good. It wasn't too dry or saucy, just nicely seasoned to complement the rest of the food. The drink selections were boring, I wanted a nice beverage to go with my meal. I was aiming for a beer but the selection they offered did not entice me so I didn't even bother to figure out what they offer for house wines. I think a good drink would have been the icing to my meal. Overall, I really liked the food but that was it. This will be the absolute LAST time I bother ordering from this place. I have been a customer for YEARS, ordering at least once a month for delivery and frequenting the restaurant in Bay Ridge, but as of today, I've absolutely had enough. I placed an order for delivery with the very nice woman who picked up the phone. Very pleasant to speak to. HOWEVER, after over an hour waiting for a delivery, I tried calling the restaurant to check on my order and the phone was off the hook for a half hour. The business owner must be a millionaire with all the business they have going on... so much business that they put their phone on 'busy' when it's not convenient for them to take anymore orders. After finally getting through an hour and a half after ordering, I was told on the phone that my order wasn't even put in yet. So, it was not yet cooked, not ready for delivery, and not on the way. On what planet is that okay? The food has always been satisfactory but I'm not sure how the owner is running this restaurant. They are either under staffed or just don't know how to work a restaurant. There is no reason to treat customers like that. They're not serving up gold. I've never seen a line out the door so customers should not be waiting two hours to get their food. Not ordering from here or coming here again. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I placed orders online with this restaurant on two separate occasions, once last week and once this week. Both times they have cancelled on me without reason and without reaching out to me. Instead, the order would be confirmed for over half an hour, and it would show that it is en route to me, and then cancelled. This place was really good and the staff was really nice. It was a happy place to be and surrounds were pleasant. As of Recently the same waitresses don't work there. I just spent 37$ on two plates and asked to use the bathroom and she said no in somewhat of a rude or dirty way. She didn't say sorry I can't let you, to which I would have said I understand. Instead she just asked if I wanted to order like I was scamming to use the bathroom. I then left and said I will be back for my food when I find somewhere to pee, because it was intolerable to wait as I have a bladder problem. We have went here a few times now and the food has been always delicious. This is not a place you really want to go for service but rather the quality of the food. This is a true hidden gem for the Bayridge community. We normally get the tomato salad as well as the signature salad. Besides the delicious salads they have really good Gyro specifically chicken and their chicken souvlaki is amazing. One of my student`s have me a $25 gift certificate as a year-end gift. I placed an order on the phone and sent my daughter in to pick it up. She came out with her credit card in her hand and a take-out bag. She said they refused to accept the gift certificate. I went inside the restaurant with my daughter and asked for an explanation from the manager. The manager told me that the person who signed the certificate no longer worked there and that it was not valid. I showed her that the certificate was good until the end of 2019. She then asked if we still wanted the food. I told her absolutely not and to refund my daughter. She did issue the refund on the spot, but I will NEVER step foot in that restaurant again. Went for lunch today. Place is cute, they have nice garden seating in the back of the restaurant. Had shrimp skewers with lemon potatoes,really creamy tzatziki, a side salad and warm pita. Shrimps we're so tender I couldn't believe how good everything was. Service was spot on too. Added bonus, the bathroom was clean. I just read a similar review to an experience I had - raw meat that got both me and my girlfriend sick. We ordered burgers and souvlaki platters. After close to an hour wait for delivery, we were totally famished. We bit into the burger and both were massively undercooked - bloody on the inside. I called to complain and was given a big attitude from a manager named Maria. She said they would send a replacement but would need to inspect the undercooked burgers. Seriously?! I have been a customer of this establishment for years, but I'm not sure what changed there recently. The food and service is terrible!! Tonight, I picked up a spanakopita platter, it was barely warm and completely uncooked; also received no tzatiki sauce, which is supposed to be included in the order. I called and spoke to some inefficient worker, who was unapologetic and when I requested that a new one be delivered at this point, he hesitantly agreed and told me to give the food back to the delivery driver. Okay, I had this for the first time ever Tuesday and I've already had it twice-- it's only Thursday. Priced well, filling and delicious. They catered a work event for my coworkers and I on Tuesday and I was able to dine in today for lunch. With blue chairs- which seems to be the color all Greek restaurants choose- the place is clean and offers a great menu. We just took the cheese as much as we can. My husband took a lactose pill. I ordered the chicken speciality sandwich. Chicken was very tender and juicy. This is among the few I would recommend for comfort food. (A rating between 4-4.5 is more accurate, in my opinion) 4.5/5.0 It was empty at the time but once I put in my dinner order for the mixed grill platter, hordes of customers started flowing in. A decent sized seating area and warmly lit decor make for a good dining experience. The mixed grill came out timely and piping hot. Topped with gyro meat, it came with chicken souvlaki, sausage, pita, Greek salad, dolmades, and fries. For any normal person, it would be belly-busting, but in my case it was perfect for me. I finished it, but just barely. The chicken was a touch dry but it had a nice grilled char and quite flavorful. Tried the place today and ordered for take out. I was very disappointed in the food. Their lunch special sounded like a great deal. $9.95 for any pita sandwich and your choice of fries, salad, or soup. Walked in and ordered and the food was ready in 5 min. That was the best part. Something Signature Sandwich: the description sounds delicious. The sandwich has sundried tomatoes, lettuce, chicken, feta, and tzazitki sauce. This sandwich was sad. Too much sauce that was straight up ranch. The pita was soggy and you couldn't taste anything but the sauce. Sadly, I could not eat more than half of the sandwich. Fries: How can you mess up fries? I quickly opened the container to avoid a soggy mess. Yet, they were still soggy, but I can deal with that. However, they tasted stale and had no salt on them. That is an injustice to a french fry. The worst part was one of their cooks who stared at my friend and I while cutting the chicken and preparing the sandwich. He would directly face us and wink at us. The Hummus-a creamy blend of chickpeas, garlic & herbs was a good dip for the Pita Bread. Although I kept dipping the pita bread with yogurt more. I think that was a better combination. Entree: Greek-Style Gyro Platter- slow-roasted rotisserie pork served with rice and side salad. I definitely enjoy this dish. The rotisserie pork wasn't dry or hard. It was cooked just right. Service was a bit slow with our appetizers, but the food was good. Prices are reasonable. It is an open kitchen, so you can see your food being made. The place itself is small, but not too small.
