    The food is delicious!! love the chicken and feta salad I always order food from this restaurant!

    Something Greek isn't exactly traditional Greek cuisine, but it's a solid takeout spot. The salmon fillet was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. And the portion size was pretty big. The staff were warm, friendly, and knew the menu well. Overall good food and great service for a quick bite.

    Honestly, without Something Greek saving us for lunch several times a week, my colleagues would be miserable, and so would I, quite frankly. The Marouli salad is literally one of the best salads I have ever had anywhere. The dill and scallions with the tremendous amount of salty feta over shredded lettuce is superb. I recently was in the mood for a good piece of salmon so got that with a Greek salad on the side; it did not disappoint.

    Chicken Gyro Pita Sandwich

    I ordered a chicken gyro and soup special. It was disgusting! Didn't even look like real chicken and the soup was salt water! Don't be fooled by the ambiance!!! Stay away

    Having an edge for Greek food, I dropped by this Something Greek place near my neighborhood. Ordered the Gyro pita sandwich and the platter. The place had three small tables to eat; I unlike the one in Bay Ridge. My order took only 10 minutes. The Gyro pita sandwich was very well packed with meat, tomatoes, onions and fries with a tzatziki sauce. Platter was quite full too with a horiatiki salad. Both dishes were tasty and well seasoned. Fries were a bit on the soft side but hot and well seasoned. Overall, a pretty good lunch.

    Was in the mood for some Greek food and decided to order takeout from this branch. Got the Gyro platter combo (comes with rice and salad), and a pork Souvlaki pita sandwich. The combo tasted decent- with lots of Feta cheese on the side salad the meat was a bit bland-I poured the small cup of Tzatziki sauce on top of the meats for some extra taste. The Pork souvlaki pita-meat was dry and really chewy- lacked flavor as well. Maybe I picked the wrong items to order, though I checked out Yelp reviews prior to ordering as these were the most popular dishes from the menu. Wait time was about ten minutes and the counter person was pretty nice- gave me an extra cup of Tzatziki sauce on the side.

    Pastitsio Special

    I love Greek food and decided to mix things up this time around. Normally I order their gyro, which is flavorful and very tasty. This time I decided to order the pastitsio which came with pita and their signature salad. Their signature salad was great. The main dish was huge. Definitely took a few days for me to finish it. I will say I would probably stick to the gyros. The pastitsio was very rich the cheese sauce. Almost too rich as it was heavy. The meat needed more flavor and seasoning. Overall I will say it's a good portion size, but definitely won't be ordering it again.

    Everything was great, great Value and taste. Rice was very flavorful, pita was toasted well and meat was juicy

    Gave this place a try as I'm a fan of greek food. I like to think of Something Greek as a fast food kinda place, made to order but still faster than a restaurant. The lamb gyro platter was not bad for the price. I only wish the lamb was thicker and the portions larger like Meze. But of course, that's more expensive. I was not full from one platter so next time, I'll need a side order.

    Chicken gyro platter with rice
    Venissa C.

    Ordered the chicken gyro platter with rice and salad, it was delicious!! Chicken was tender, the rice was fragrant, the salad (asked for no feta) was freshly chopped. The meal also came with a side of peta bread. The portion was great, had plenty for leftover :)

    5 stars all around the table!…read more Very tasty Greek restaurant. I saw they had spicy feta dip on the menu and knew this place was going to be good. There were a lot of good options to choose From so it was hard to narrow it down. Mix of traditional Greek dishes and new takes. We landed on these- Spanakopita Falafels Greek chicken soup Chilled beets Ribeye Souvlaki Baklava The ribeye was so tender and everything dipped in the tzatziki was superb. The Greek chicken soup was also a flavor bomb not your typical chicken soup. This one has dill, lemon, rice, vegetables...life in a bowl. They have an extensive drink menu as well and are open late into the night. I would definitely come here again!

We ordered quite a few dishes, and the octopus was definitely one of my favorites--such a generous portion with two huge tentacles! The branzino and squid ink seafood pasta were also delicious. The pita chips were crispy and nicely seasoned with herbs, while the moussaka was rich, hearty, and packed with layers of bold Mediterranean flavors. The crispy fries with garlic oil were another hit. The cocktails were creative and impressive, and we ended with the Galaktoboureko for dessert. The creamy semolina custard wrapped in phyllo was delicious, although a little sweet for my taste. Next time, I'd probably go for the Loukoumades with Nutella pistachio sauce instead. Service was solid throughout--our waiter was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, a fun spot with great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere for a birthday celebration!

Athena is a quaint little place with friendly staff like Stavros (I hope that's how he spells it). For an appetizer, we ordered the dip trio with hummus (which was so creamy and delicious), spicy whipped feta, and tzatziki, which was honestly the star of the trio. Stavros was also kind enough to bring us more pita bread to finish our dips! I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki, and it was amazing. Juicy and sizable cuts of lamb dipped in more tzatziki on top of a bed of fluffy rice pilaf. It's a hefty plate so I only ate about half and took the rest back to my hotel. I hope I can eat the other half before I leave! I'm also hoping there's a place in Raleigh, where I live, that can match this experience. What's not pictured is the baklava dessert, which was quickly demolished by the three of us. It was originally meant for me only, but my partner and his best friend couldn't resist multiple bites. If you love Mediterranean food and you're in New York, add this place to your list. Well worth the trip. And also ask about the "Windex" shots (;

It's a small business, where the owner is actually there and serving the guests. He told us about the dishes, the ingredients, the restaurants history, his mother's recipes, and clearly took immense pride in his profession. One part of that pride is how he makes a point of not rushing you. This is possibly the rarest trait of all when it comes to nyc restaurants, who normally function from the perspective "i want as many butts in seats as i can, as quickly as possible". I can't recommend it enough for that reason alone (the food was also amazing). I left feeling relaxed and full, rather than feeling like a bloated sheep being herded that feels sick from eating too fast.

What stood out most was that there was truly something delicious for everyone, whether you were craving traditional Greek favorites (like a Gyro) or wanted to try one of the more unique menu offerings (like a custom bowl).
