My partner and I chose a picnic table outside, since we had our dog with us, and we were quite comfortable. The interior seating looked great, as well, but we didn't want to intrude with our dog. We ordered a beer each (both of which were great) and some food. I am knocking off a star simply because the food really was not great. The little pizzas were (and I say this with almost complete certainty) the little pizzas you get at Costco. The burrito tasted really stale, and I watched as the woman took it out of a drawer and stuck it into a microwave. I imagine it had been there all day and was made maybe the day before/that morning. It is clear that the food is not fresh, and it is very basic. I would not come here for food, but I am excited to come back for drinks! It seems very local, which is just the way I like it.

It caters to a younger crowd, whether you're bar hopping on Tennyson with a group or looking for a spot to take a hot date. For better and worse, it's a neighborhood bar at its core. The most shocking thing is how they transformed the space from the previous tenants. It has a beautiful open layout with nice furniture and design. The bartenders are generally friendly and prices are in line with similar cocktail bars in Denver. The few times I've been here I've been in a cocktail mood. Negronis and Old Fashioneds are made well and are slow sippers I enjoy. They do have a nice selection of wines that I'll have to try when it tickles my fancy. The only hiccups here for me are some really long wait times for drinks. They usually have two bartenders and sometimes it gets really backed up. No one is running the floor when I've been there bussing and wiping down tables. Though I understand with a location here it can go from being empty to completely slammed in a matter of minutes! If you're looking for a cool, comfortable bar without the pretentiousness or judgment, check out My Boy Tony.

Tidbit! You can order food from the Mexican spot around the corner and eat it right there at the brewery. Built-in dinner plans, no argument needed. Someplace Else Brewing in Arvada leans hard into sci-fi -- the kind of place that makes you wish you'd paid closer attention to your nerd credentials, because the beer names alone are worth the trip. The Mango-lorian Milkshake IPA is exactly what it promises: hazy, fruity, a little indulgent. The Darth Saison brings a darker edge to a saison. Free popcorn is available at the bar like a small gift you didn't know you needed, and pinball machines hum in the background if you feel like earning your next round. Dogs wander in like regulars. The whole room feels like a quirky Arvada secret that hasn't quite been discovered yet. Someplace else is exactly where you should be this weekend. read more
