I love the beers here! They got an award for being (one of?) the best brewery in 2025 and they absolutely deserve that. I'm more of a dark beer kinda guy and they did have a couple of barrel aged stouts (yes!!!) and strong Belgians! The tasting room itself is huge and they also have a food truck outside in case you get hungry after consuming the delicious beers. I came here during a world cup game and even though they don't usually have TV, they rolled out a TV and placed it near the bar so we can all watch. It was a fun watch party! read more

This is a special place they focus on barrel aged and high ABV beers (take Uber). They are all expertly crafted and so unique and wonderful. My husband I I like very different beers but we both love river north. He love the whiskey barrel aged treats and I'm so happy to fin imperial a triple or quad IPAs on their big board!! We do need more women to love this type of beer I often feel like I crashed a boys club being the only female in the place (not counting a knowledgeable lady beer tender!!). My 1st Denver experience is so amazing. Not much of a beer drinker but I must say the Dragonfruit Lime Gose hits the spot on a hot summer day! The 3 oz serving size just WOWED me! Katie and the staff run this place like true brewery should be run. Very home like, very friendly and of course knowledgeable about the brews they make daily. I just love it here because they are dog friendly and allow all dogs in at all time. Don't let the location fool you. They have a wonderful patio with tables and umbrellas up outside. Surprisingly pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon! We arrived shortly after they opened at 1pm and it didn't get 50% full until we left at 3:30pm. There are indoor and outdoor seating options! I ordered the Black raspberry soirée sour, it was pretty good! We also ordered the Giant pretzel with mustard for only $5. It was warm, crisp and soft in the middle! Another enjoyable brewery here in Denver which I really liked! For River North I have had three beers from them thus far... all were a positive experience! One was the River North White which was a really good wheat beer! Good bready flavor in this beer in which I always like! Another was their Colorado IPA which had a nice, clean hop flavor which I always enjoy with an IPA! The third and final beer I had was the Mr. Sandman which was a great Imperial Stout and perfect to sit down and enjoy as Autumn continues to roll out. I came to the celebration of national Independence Day that they announced to do with waffles and fries. However the waffle food truck never showed up and the fries were crinkle fries lol that's so American. As a full breed Belgian I can recommend them to stick to beer lol. River North Brewery is tucked in an unsuspecting warehouse area, but don't let appearances fool you! This brewery sure packs a punch! Marissa C. and I decided to make this out second stop on our RiNo brewventure and to say we were impressed is an understatement. ATMOSPHERE/SPACE: Their dog-friendly taproom is adjacent the production area. There's a great outline only mural of Denver's skyline, a selection of games near the restroom, and a variety of picnic tables to sit at. River North Brewery has sure brought home some hardware and you can check out their impressive collection of medals over the to-go cooler near the door. SERVICE: The beertender was both attentive and friendly. Marissa C. and I were seated at the bar throughout our visit. He checked back with us to ensure we were enjoying our selections and ensured that our glasses were never left empty. Cheers to that! BREWS: They have anywhere from 12 to 18 brews on tap at any given time! Whoa! There's something for everyone to be found on tap here at River North Brewery! During our visit I opted for a flight so I could sample more of their tasty brews. My flight consisted of: J. Marie Saison, Soirée: Raspberry, Electric Kazoo, Mr Sandman w/ Chai Spice, and Single Cask Mr. Sandman - Port/Whiskey Barrel. The Mr. Sandman series is def something I'd recommend to any stout lover. The others were all solid choices, but I think I preferred the Electric Kazoo most. The raspberry and passion fruit notes play well together for sure! BITES: As with most breweries in the Denver-Metro area, River North Brewery does not feature a kitchen of their own. They do have a line-up of food trucks that set up shop in the parking lot and serve up their tasty wares. The calendar is unfortunately not available on their website or Facebook, but you can call for their daily option. SCHWAG: There's a small selection of merch available for purchase including hats, tanks, and tees by the restroom. To the right of the door they have cooler fuller of bottles and can you can take with you in addition to crowlers and growler fills. The location of this place is my ONLY complaint, it's not the most convenient to get to. However, it's well worth the trip. Their beers are exactly what I feel like some breweries lack. The flavor, the strength, the variety, and the homage to why we enjoy beer the way we do---the Belgians (sorry Germany, your lagers and pilsners are boring). I came here with a friend and our pups on one of their celebration days. We shared tables with other patrons. It definitely feels like a community here, the chit chat was not hard to find. River North is hands down my favorite brewery. Not just in Denver..it is my all time favorite. I was very sad to see them get kicked out of their Blake Street location (Funk the man!) but with bad things there can always be a silver lining. While the new location is a bit away from the city (they will be back to RiNo with a taproom eventually) this new location has plenty of room for them to make more awesome beer!! The taproom and brewing facility are both much bigger. There are a bunch of big picnic tables and a great bar area. Even though its a little away the bike ride there from RiNo is not bad at all! As always the staff is top notch. Everyone here really cares about the beer they make and does a great job at recommending beers to try for people not familiar with Belgian styles. My favorites? Literally everything..but my top faves are Whiskey Barrel Avarice Stout and Quandary Quad (all the variants). My go-to sessionable beers are FarmHouse, White, and IPA. You can also find River North brews on tap around town and in liquor stores around the state. Thats a good thing because while they were moving I was still able to get some tasty brews! read more

I really liked this space! I came here on a Saturday morning to do yoga, so as expected the place was really only filled with yogis at the time. Every other month this brewery hosts a free yoga session on a Saturday through Breath of Life Yoga. I really liked the instructor. She led us through a flow class that was fun, simple, but challenging at times. I wasn't able to stay and grab a beer, so I can't really speak to the drinks or service. But while I was there everyone seemed really friendly and helpful! This brewery features lots of Belgian ales. They have a nice variety. I'd lot to come back and check it out for a drink! Seems like it would be a good place to meet up with friends on a weekend afternoon. read more

Something my boyfriend and I have noticed about the craft beer scene is that some brewers attempt to be a little too niche or exotic with their beers...looking at you, green chile ale...and end up alienating the good ol' classics. It's nice to go to a brewery that can make a solid wheat beer or a creamy, beautiful stout instead of focusing on a quadruple pumpkin spice IPA (although those have their place). River North accomplishes that. A friend we were here with went as far as to say the RNB White might be better than White Rascal (from a bottle...can't beat White Rascal on tap), and I was IN LOVE with the raspberry sour. BUT the coolest thing about this brewery are their vicennial and bicennial beers--you can buy a 12 oz. bottle (for $15, I think) for a 16%ish ABV beer to pop open for whatever occasion you desire in 20 or 10 years. The beers were brewed with the intention of being aged for so long. You can also get a taster of several of them (I don't think they had been aged), as well as some crazy strong bourbon barrel aged brews that are close in flavor to a glass of whiskey. From the beer to the board games, loved everything about this place. They've managed to find their niche, while mastering what needs to be mastered. Well done. I do enjoying coming to River North when I can. It's not close to me, so it's normally on a "special release" event, which yesterday was. I think they are very aggressive in their styles, so that makes it fun. I went in last night for their "barrel extravaganza". I will say very enjoyable, but too much barrel aged is an actual thing (tongue died). Still love their standard, new stuff, etc. Great beer stop. I recommend it 100% read more

I have been trying out different New England style IPA's, as well as trying out production IPA's from local stores. I had turned away from heavy hops beers until I tried home brewing a New England style, which came out "MEH"- but drinkable. The Colorado IPA made by River North is my favorite IPA so far: good flavor, not too much bitterness for my taste, decent ABV--this one is out of 8 IPA's I have gotten at local liquor stores (and now, local grocery stores). I loved the old river north and i am sad they had to move, but the new space is fabulous! Lots of seating, a spacious bar, tons of room for them to can, a large parking lot - tons of space for corn hole and food trucks! It's past the merchandise mart and is a bit to hidden for people to stumble on, so that is a bummer... But still, stop by, say hello and try some beers! read more

Had never been to the old River North taproom, but stopped into the new one for the first time and was amazed at why it wasn't more crowded...granted it is a large warehouse space. Great selection of beer with very unique flavors are found just 5 minutes north of downtown Denver. Not to mention, good prices for the strong bold brews. Big picnic tables surrounding the long bar top make for plenty of seating and a community feel. Definitely a great place to bring a big group. The big fermenting vats and 30' high racks of cans hint at just how big of an operation these guys have going. read more

Sorry folks! There's no food here and a warehouse feeling to this place, and it's not easy to get here with my bike because it's on Washington in north Denver and still, all that said!!! I give it five stars because of the BEER! The bartenders need recognition too for sure! Their great! Wow! What a great experience I had at this place. Although I can't drink beer (not because I don't want to but because I'm pregnant), the people I went to this brewery with raved on and on about the beer. We visited their new location. It was big and spacious with lots of tables to choose from. The staff that worked their seemed to enjoy their job and were very helpful when it came to deciding on which beer to get. They also had games and we had a blast just hanging out, drinking beer and ordering food from the food truck parked outside. I would definitely recommend this brewery to my friends and I look forward to going back. read more

What can't be said for the excellence that is river north. Truly great craft beer, a barrel program that rivals larger breweries with quality that surpasses. Beer for every flavor profile; they do ipas, sours, big alcohol, light and refreshing. There production facility is great for dogs, multiple food trucks make their way through, but you can bring food as well. They are an og Denver brewery that helped bring river north and the ballpark neighborhoods to the popular destination it is today! The beer is ok not bad not exceptional. We tried one of everything. We liked the stronger beers the most, the decennials (father time, god complex & shadowman). The sours were pretty good but the lighter beers and the tripel were a bit lackluster. We were a fan of funk the man. Ultimately the parents that come and bring their hoards of children unattended with no reprocussion is pretty abysmal. Won't be back unless some parenting is enforced. We came for a brewery not an unatteneded daycare facility. read more
