The Carne Asada Plate

Plate was excessively hot, as a result the entire meal was dry. I didn't even attempt to eat this meal.

How I dressed my number 11 comboe
K B.

My first time trying this place out and I enjoyed it. The service was great and fast ( I went through the drive-thru) and the food was exactly what I was craving. I got the #11 combo, which is three taquitos with guacamole, lettuce and tomato. It includes rice and beans with the combo, but I just got rice because I don't eat beans. Also got the green salsa and it was soooooo good. I'd recommend trying it. I'll need to come back and try other menu items but taquitos are pretty much my favorite so we'll see

Machaca Beef Burro

Burros are not bad for the price. I got the machaca breakfast burro and it had a good amount of meat and good flavor. Chips and salsa are good. I went through the drive through and it was pretty fast considering my order and friendly service. Not much of an ambiance, to me this is more of a drive through spot. Nothing to go out of your way for, okay if you are looking for affordable Mexican food on the go.

I ordered the chicken taquitios with beans and rice and a quesadilla. I ate inside so they gave me chips and salsa. Unfortunately the chips had no flavor, so I put salt on them. Perfecto! The taquitos were also kind of plain but tasted good with beans and rice. They had a pleasant aftertaste when eaten this way. The churro was good...better than average. I loved it!

Horrible! I paid for extra cheese-there was none on my taco. The beans had a burnt flavor too. Nasty.

For this occasion we ordered: Bone in ribeye: 4/5- the 20oz steak was perfectly cooked with a charred flavor, but I personally think it's missing butter and some rosemary. As for the mashed potatoes, it was finely grated and mashed and was just divine to eat Salmon carpaccio 3/5- the ponzu flavor was light and not too overwhelming and thought it was great sauce. However, the deduction comes in the way the salmon was cut. For sure if the Salmon were thinly slice vs chucks, I would've gave this dish a higher score. Cutting it in chucks had this mushy texture Ceviche 5/5- this ceviche was delicious. Right amount of seasoning, and with that hint of coconut it complimented the fish and shrimp to perfection As for the service, definitely could've used some improvement. Parking was a breeze, and since there were three of us (including one never-full teenager ), we went for the Mexi-Q Platter and added an extra birria taco so everyone could try one. It absolutely lived up to the hype! The surprise standout? The brisket tostada--sooooo flavorful and satisfying on every level! We also loved the sausage link, Mexi-Q twinkies (aka smoked jalapeños stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, then wrapped in bacon ), and honestly, everything we tried was a hit. For sides, we ordered Grandma's Calabacitas (a yummy squash veggie mix), roasted cream elote, and Julio's mac n' cheese (which I skipped, but the guys were big fans). We wrapped up this phenomenal meal with their GF banana pudding (they offer both GF and regular options), and it was seriously scrumptious--such a treat to have a gluten-free dessert that feels just as special! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive. They double-checked that everything we ordered (minus the mac n' cheese) was gluten-free, which is always such a relief. It means so much when a place truly understands gluten and can clearly guide you on what's safe. We sat outside and soaked up the beautiful weather--it was the perfect setting for such a fun and tasty meal! An easily awarded and well deserved

Great sign as I'm sure it was even busier later after 2 pm when their Taco Tuesday starts. Parking was plentiful about a block away behind the buildings in the parking lot. There's also a parking structure nearby. As soon as we sat someone came out with chips and salsa. I was pleased to see they have a happy hour menu daily until 6 pm. I ordered the Joyride Margarita and shrimp ceviche from the HH menu. Margarita was good, you could taste the alcohol and the tajin rim was tasty. The ceviche was great with a good amount of shrimp and avocado, very flavorful. Both were great considering they were only $6 each. For entrees we ordered the SoCal Burrito and the Beast Burrito. The SoCal Burrito was really good, and there was a lot of big shrimps. The al pastor was a bit salty as was the carne asada in the Beast Burrito but it wasn't too bad. We also ordered one crispy fish taco which was good and came with a heaping scoop of guacamole. I really enjoyed the side salad that comes with the burritos! It had huge corn nuts which was a nice surprise. All in all their menu could be a tad larger (I was hoping for burrito bowls or a fish burrito) but their food is pretty tasty. Our server was very nice and checked in on us just the right amount of times, offering more chips and salsa as soon as we needed it. Parking is easy and there is a lot of outdoor seating, which we needed since we had our dog with us. We'll definitely be back!

The service was good, but not great, and the food was good, but not worth the money. We tried the Green Chili cornbread, and it was much sweeter than I expected, but it was good. The tacos were small 3" street tacos for $3 to $4. That's basically $1 per bite. I tried the chicken, beef, and carna asada. The chicken and beef had very good flavor with a hint of smoke, but the carna asada was dry and tasteless. I saw the food on the tablets next to us, and most of it looked like fairly small servings, except for a burrito one person had. It was huge, and looked good. The house Margaritas were served in a small rocks glass, and I didn't taste any triple sec, or much tequila either. The lime had a nasty taste to like they were old. For a $7 margarita it sucked, and they called that a special. If money is not a concern then maybe you'll like this place, but I wouldn't call it a good value at all. The flavors were good, but not at the price. They don't even give you free chips and salsa, and I saw the guacamole order next to us and it was a tiny serving for $11.
