Updated menu with prices - Oct 2025

We have been eating at this Senor Taco for years! The good: The food is always top notch. While the menu may look similar to other local Filiberto's/Alibertos style restaurants, the food is of considerably higher quality. The portions are generally very good, especially the burritos. They have some daily specials to get more for your money. The inside is typically clean and they have a well stocked salsa bar! Good outdoor seating area for nice weather and they also have a drive-through. The not so good: The drive-through takes FOREVER. They do have a sign that discloses that the wait may be longer as they 'aren't fast food, they are fresh food cooked fast' but still, if there's more than 3 cars ahead of you, you're better off parking and going inside to order. Additionally, more recently their prices have gotten to the point where it costs the same to go sit down at an actual Mexican Restaurant. While I get that everyone has raised prices, it is going to cost you $30 for two burritos here which is a bit crazy. Overall, we really do enjoy Senor Taco but it's become more of a 'once in a while' splurge versus the frequent customers we used to be. Would be great if there were better specials or offers available!

OMG, the Prices !!! Yikes! $12.49 for a Chorizo and egg burrito $6.69 for "Cinnamon Treats" If you like this place, you better stop by soon as they won't last with these prices!

The service is quick and there is generally a decent amount of food for the price you are paying. There is also a sauce bar by the drinks that is really nice. The food overall was not that great. The staff was extremely kind but didn't seem to know much about their menu or what is in the food. We asked a couple times what was in plates and they had no idea. Sometimes you get what you pay for!!

Came here around 3pm for "lunch" with my dad. We both ordered the shrimp burritos which come with white sauce, rice, shrimp and pico. I asked them to add lettuce and beans to mine. They just added beans but the lettuce/tomato which came with was good. The salsa bar options were mostly hot salsas so I went for the mild salsa which was pretty decent. The shrimp was well cooked and had good flavor. Chips were okay but nothing special. Each burrito was about $12 so a little pricey but given it had shrimp I was happy overall. Wish there had been more in the burrito - lettuce or tomatoes or even guac, but overall quite tasty. I asked for mine without the white sauce and they accommodated. Good place! Food came out quite fast although since both our shrimp burritos had different adjustments it would've been nice for there to be a label or something. My dad and I originally guessed incorrectly and had taken each others burritos

This is what possibly gave us food poisoning

I used to love this place but WOW have they shamelessly jacked up the prices! I can no longer recommend based on the value vs food. Sadly.

Ask the Community - Senor Taco

What kind of deals on the taco Tuesdays?

What ARE the taco Tuesday specials?

Do they do Taco Tuesday specials? 🌮

    Yes they do

What time do they open for breakfast?? Why aren't the hours posted. That would be helpful. I love the food- only been here at lunch or dinner.

Hi Susan. I agree, hours should be posted on Yelp. It appears as though management of all Señor Tacos are a bit lackadaisical -their website is is not operational & they have not claimed their pages here on Yelp - nonetheless, they are a successful…

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Carne asada burrito which came with chipotle cream sauce, carne Asada, and pico. Also beans and we asked for no rice. We both had rice on the side with beans. The burrito was nice and big. The rice was really good. And the beans were mediocre. The burrito was good, except the only bad thing I would say it was a little too greasy, and when you bit into it, all the greasy juice came out. I'm not sure if we would go back maybe, to try something different.

This restaurant is decorated so cutely. I love how there is a Baja influence with all the surf boards but also southwest appeal. There is plenty of seating and tables for big groups. Even with other people yapping around us, the noise level was perfect to enjoy company. 10/10 would recommend.
