I've been here a few times over many years and I like the food. The gorditas are what I have had most often, though I have tried many different meats. Their gorditas are like corn tortilla pockets where the fillings are put into the tortilla rather than having the tortilla wrapped around it. The al pastor and chorizo are probably my favorite meats so far and I usually get a plate with two gorditas with beans and rice. The rice is simple, but how I'd make it at home with a a mild flavor and few mixed veggies in it. There are plenty of interesting salsas to try at the salsa bar. Sometimes the music is a little strange (one time, we agreed that it was like "kidz bop, if performed by adults"). Order at the counter and take a seat. read more

We recently moved back over to this side of town and we came out of the gym, on a taco Tuesday and with being certified big backs we decided to stop it! The restaurant has great reviews on here and Google and we found out why! The restaurant was very clean, the salsa bar was stocked up and kept very clean! Customer service was excellent, he was so nice and polite. There tacos deals are great they had a variety of meat to choose from for I believe under $3 a piece, our son ordered the Birria noddles and still to this day he asked me to take him back just so he can order it! We took advantage of the taco Tuesdays which all tacos are 2.99 each with the ability to choose from meat list. My family of 4 enjoyed the carne asada tacos and the birria tacos along with 2 plates to share of the carne asada fries. They have a salsa bar that is out of this world. They have peppers, radishes, carrots, salsas of various kinds, pico, mango pico, verde and more on the bar it was awesome. Your inside dinning comes with warm chips complementary. The ambiance is chill and laid back with booths and tables. They can accommodate medium and large groups. They also have a curb cabana table to dine. This quaint little place was such a nice surprise. We are visiting from Southern California and found this place on yelp. The food was so delicious! It was like eating at my gramas house. Such friendly ladies and the food tastes like they cooked it with love. The food came out looking just like the photos on the menu !! That's a first for me. Even the salsa bar was like amazing. This little strip mall restaurant is a treasure! The restaurant is a mix of fast casual and slow food, with comfortable booths and "real plates," but plastic silverware and throwaway chip containers. The staff are super friendly and offer many options for food customization. (As their sign says, they do not serve fast food. They make everything to order.) I never knew this place existed and I was intrigued to check it out after reading all the great reviews. We stopped by on Saturday for an early dinner and it wasn't at all busy. The have a lot of different items on the menu and they have combos as well. We ended up ordering one posole, a three gorditas plate, and a taco combination plate. The combination plate came with two tacos, rice, and beans. We also ordered two drinks and a michelada. Our total was close to $40. We sat in a booth towards the back and waited for our food. The salsa bar was nicely stocked and had a few different salsas to pick from. Chips were brought out to our table by one of the employees and our food was brought out one by one. I ordered the posole and it was pretty good! I threw all the garnishes on there and bam it was delicious! Oh and I also ate it with chips. My friend had the three gorditas plate. He ordered one carne asada, one carnitas, and one chicharron. He liked them all expect for the carnitas. He said that meat had no flavor and was super dry. My other friend has the taco plate making one of her tacos chicken and the other carne asada. She preferred the chicken over the carne asada. The salsas were too watered down for our tastes and the pickeled onions were on fire, beware! The employees were friendly and the tables were clean. The service was good, a pretty empty restaurant but we got our food within 5 mins. The size of the burrito we got was also good. Got 2 Bacon Burrtios. Called in 20 minutes earlier and they said it would be 15 minutes. I waited yet another 25-30 minutes in their humid restaurant, sweating, and then it was somehow 27 dollars! (had the audacity to ask for a tip for a to go order too) 27 dollars....I sat there and said wow these must be huge burritos....WRONG! They are less than HALF the size of a filibertos burrito, barely larger than a sonic burrito, barely larger than a taco bell Burrito. And to make things worse, it was the most mediocre burrito I have ever had. Their actual mexican food is pretty good, I got a carne asada burrito and it was solid...but $17!!!!
