Had the taco salad bowl, it was the best taco salad bowl i ever had. highly recommend this place.

2nd review! This time we went for breakfast. Loved loved loved it My only negative is that it doesn't open until 9 for breakfast. We really wanted to go earlier! But it's worth the wait. We got Huevos Rancheros and the Huevos con carne asada. Yum! read more

Asi Es Mi Tierra is a small family owned restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food at very affordable prices. I noticed a clean dining room with a small bar and Mexican music playing in the background. The service was quick, friendly and arrived in just four minutes. My taco enchilada combination was delicious with a good portion of tender carne asada meat. Rice and beans were also very tasty along with some fresh complementary tortilla chips and salsa. I need to visit more often. read more

The breakfast here is absolutely delicious! The huevos rancheros with green chile really hit the spot -- cooked to perfection. Service was great too, attentive and friendly throughout. read more

The food is amazing!! Food was not covered and smothered in cheese and sauce- and it tasted amazing! Everything tasted as if it came from a family recipe. Even the chips and salsa that come out at the beginning of the meal so delicious! Ambiance - family friendly. Music playing in the background, soccer on the tv, and a jukebox in the dining room. It's a small restaurant but very welcoming. Service was on point. We never had to ask for more drinks or napkins. The waiter was right on top it it. Didn't have to wait too long for food. Service was very good. It's definitely off the beaten path in a small strip mall and the sign is a little hard to see but don't judge this place by the cover. Possibly one of the best Mexican food restaurants in the valley. read more

Asi Es Mi Tierra - Carne Asada steak with a chicken enchilada and rice - Mexican Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

It was our first time to Asi Es Mi Tierra. We will definitely go back! The food was fantastic & the wait staff were wonderful! We got a combination so we could try different things. (Shredded beef taco, tamale, cheese enchilada, rice & beans.) All of it was delicious! It is a hole is the wall in a little strip center. Don't let that scare you. It is so yummy!!! read more

This is a 5-star restaurant for the prices that they are offering! Our food was DELICIOUS and priced very fairly! The staff were all very nice and checked on us multiple times! The food portions were generous but the free chips are not super plentiful (understand so! In 2025 economy, they have to keep prices low and waste low where they can!) Affordable drinks as well! We will definitely be repeat customers while we are in the area! read more

Asi Es Mi Tierra - Tequila Sunrise - Mexican Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Stopped by on a Friday evening for a dinner right before they close at 6pm (open every day except Wednesdays from 9am-6pm). It's a hole in the wall spot frequented by locals for an early dinner or to crush a few Modelos to get an early start for the weekend. We started with a couple horchatas and a beer. They also gave us some complimentary chips and salsa, which only came with maybe 15 chips tops. We asked for a refill, but were disappointed to see the same refill amount of about 15 chips :( As for the food, I ordered the beef chimichanga which came with rice and beans - not bad and decent amount of beef filling. The chimichanga was fried to a crisp, and quite tasty. My friend got a chicken quesadilla, which she said was fine, just a bit bland; another friend got the carne asada tacos - pretty standard, but the meat was a bit dry; last friend got an order of enchiladas w/ rice + beans, and she said that was good as well. General consensus is any of the hot combinations/dishes that come with rice + beans were the tastier options. Biggest sell is you cannot find these prices anywhere else! I seriously had to double take when I saw the menu. The food was average, and wish gave more chips in general (although this can be rectified by just asking the server for more chips). Ended up spending just under $20 for dinner + drink. Probably won't come out to Mesa especially for this spot, but worth a stop if you're nearby read more

First things first, the prices here are amazingly low! I was genuinely shocked to see a margarita regularly priced at $3.95. At that price, it simply would be rude not to! And believe it or not, it actually was very tasty for a margarita. The food prices were also exceptionally low as well. When you see low prices, usually there is a reduction in quality and favor but that was not the case at Asi Es Mi Tierra. The only thing I longed for was more chips and salsa as a very small portion was served. Loved the murals on the wall and the casa decor in the back. It felt very authentic to a Mexican restaurant. The service was always very friendly and we interacted with a couple different employees. All were very friendly and I can definitely see returning in the future if in the area. read more

This is the best Mexican food that I've had in Arizona yet!! We've been searching & tried so many!! This little mom & pop shop is excellent!!! Food came out HOT and super fresh!! Service was great & didn't feel stuffy or overwhelming. We had a Fanita platter just grab a quick fast bite in between shopping & it was so satisfying. The prices are super reasonable. I recommend paying cash as you will be subject to processing fees with Debit or Credit. Totally worth it!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you guys so much. read more

Fantastic, authentic food made with love and family recipes. Family owned, and run couldn't ask for a better food, better service or a better family! read more

This well-established Mexican restaurant offered delicious food, fast service and reasonable prices during my dine- in lunch. My two taco combination meal included choice of meat, choice of shell, rice and refried beans. It was reasonably priced at about $8 and served in just four minutes, which gave me time to enjoy the complimentary chips and yummy hot salsa. The tacos had generous amounts of moist and delicious shredded chicken on soft, tasty 5.5" tortillas. The service was attentive but somber, while the dining area was clean and basic with Mexican background music and a full bar. I wasn't a fan of the outdated 3.5% credit card fee, but overall this was a very good experience. read more

My cousin has been wanting to come here for quite some time but we always missed our chance as it closes at 6 PM. We decided tonight was the night! I am happy we made the stop in. The restaurant has beautiful murals on the wall which adds to the overall dining experience. It is not a huge location, but the tables are laid out well to allow for proper spacing. There are a lot of other businesses within the same plaza, but there are many parking spaces to choose from. The service was good and the employees seemed happy to help. The food was great and I was amazed at the pricing! The house margaritas were delicious ($3.95). For my meal I ordered a Chile relleno ($3.75) as I always have to try them when available. I also ordered a #56 enchilada Oxaca style with shredded beef ($10). The relleno was good, but not the best one I've had. However, for the price it was absolutely a great treat. The #56 was really good. I loved the flavor of the sauce and the beans/rice were good as well - I still can't believe the whole plate was $10! Stop on in if you're in the area! read more

Great family restaurant with authentic Mexican flavor. I got the Mexico City Enchilada. It was perfectly prepared. My wife got three shredded beef enchiladas. My wife said the sauce was perfect. The beef was excellent quality with wonderful flavor but slightly dry. We were eating a late lunch which may account for that. She felt the portion size of beans was small enough that she wound up ordering a side of beans. The restaurant was 3/4 full but still we were served quickly. Our server was the son of the owners, and handled everything efficiently. My wife's biggest disappointment was that they don't have Coke Zero, and only have pink sweetener packets. read more

Food, drinks, service and atmosphere is on point! I am glad I found this hidden gem. I would recommend and will be coming back for more.

Great authentic food! Service is fast! Red salsa is amazing!!! Will definitely be back!!

After several disappointing Mexican dinners, we came across some rave reviews of ASI Es Mi Tierra and we decided to give it a go. Next I'll share that I seldom do reviews. If it really bad (this is rare for us) or if it's really good, I will share. Today I am really happy to share we really enjoyed our experience here. We will be back, hopefully many more times. The ambiance was family friendly, nothing special, simple, yet clean and comfortable. The chips and salsa were excellent! They carried out two favorite beers (we were cautiously optimistic) My wife ordered the chimichanga and I ordered the shrimp fajitas, both were excellent. The service was friendly and fast. It looks like a family business which is perfect for us. We'll be back! read more

We came here for family dinner based solely on Yelp reviews. That was a mistake. This place isn't terrible, but it's not anything special by any means. Portions were relatively small in Mexican food world. My daughter got a taco plate and the taco shells looked like Old El Paso shells you buy at the grocery store. My son got a burrito plate and it was much smaller than anything you'd get at a taco shop. The service was fine and everyone was friendly. The restaurant itself was a bit dated, but nothing terrible. We definitely won't be back. read more

This place is awesome. Just go here. Cheese crisp is awesome. Combos are the best way to introduce yourself to this place. The ceviche! OMG. Can't beat the margs at this price or many others. If you are looking for a proper and humble meal, just go. read more

I love the posole soup. This place isn't the easiest to find, but it's worth the search.

Great food! Great service! Small cozy place! I take all my out of town friends and family when they come to visit!

We tried this restaurant due to the great reviews! It was difficult to find, as warned by a reviewer, buried deep within an aging strip mall. But once inside, we sat immediately and were attended to promptly. The place was clean and cozy, emanating the Mexican culture. The margaritas were tasty and extremely reasonably priced as was the food. Tortillas and salsa tasted homemade. We were very pleased overall and most definitely will be back! read more

I absolutely love this small family owned restaurant. Prices you cannot beat anywhere, taste and service you also cannot get anywhere. We usually have the two brothers who work there wait on us and the nicest of people. Only compliant is they close at 6 and I get off work at 4, so barely have enough time to race over there. But absolutely everything is worth trying from the fajitas to burritos to plates to the chips n salsa on the table. I love this place and wish it many great years to come read more

We've never been here before so thought we'ld give it a try. We had the cheese crisp which was very good. The shredded beef taco didn't have a lot of flavor, and neither did the chicken mole. I had a burrito filled with chili Colorado meat and it was really spicy, and very good but the rest of the food while it wasn't bad just didn't make me want to scream yehaw and slap my granny. They were doing a steady business, but our waiter was still very attentive, and the price was reasonable. Good chips and salsa too. So if I was driving by with a grumbling belly I would stop here again. I just don't know that I would go out of my way for it. read more

Excellent food excellent service five stars! We have been coming here since November 2020 on a weekly basis. We've tried just about everything on the menu and have found it to be consistently great. It's now February 27 and our stay in Arizona is ending, and we are really going to miss this place :-( Complimentary salsa and chips, are always perfect. Not too spicy or bland. Everyone in the party can enjoy them. The photos are of the chips & salsa and the number 69 Pollo Ranchero. it comes cooked in the spicy red sauce with onions bell peppers and other great spices and corn or flour tortillas. Also the Chicken Fajitas, they come sizzling hot served right from the kitchen. they also come with corn or flour tortillas. read more
