Some weekends you just need breakfast in bed. Since I'm single and the cats aren't going to make me breakfast in bed, I decided to Ubereats to start this summer Saturday as it's too hot to be heating up the kitchen. Been craving a breakfast burrito, so I went with this location as I previously loved this place 5+ years ago when I worked in the area. What sold me on ordering is that for only $1.50 you can get grilled jalapeños as a side item! I love grilled jalapeños and was not disappointed. Solid potato breakfast burrito, and loved the guacamole which is more like a sauce to add in your burrito. The side salsas were also pretty good as well. The red being my favorite. Definitely plan to try their vegetarian burrito for lunch or dinner one day as that looks like a solid choice too. Me and my mom have come to this place on multiple occasions. My comes specifically for caldo soup and I venture out. For this visit, me and my mom used the app to order. I do recommend the app as it is a point system and you can get something free with enough points. I originally wanted a chimichanga meal, however it was very expensive. This was one reason for the star drop, even though I'm aware prices are raising everywhere. I ended up getting carne asada fries which were a little cheaper. The second reason for the star drop was the long waiting period. I expected it, being a previous customer, and knowing they were busy and make everything. However, this time felt really long. The food was all accurate when we arrived home. My fries came as a decent portion. The meat to fry ratio was okay, I would say a little bit more meat would have been perfect. But they do not give enough guacamole either. After a while, my fries were seeming dry and I couldn't eat anymore. I would say I prefer filibertos for carne asada fries. Overall, I will definitely be coming back. If you can afford it, I recommend a chimichanga meal. It is very filling and if you get chicken it is always tender and moist. It is always my go to order. I do not think I will get the carne asada fries from here again. read more

This is a very nice place it seat right on the corner there is two trees that hides the place, but we founded and it was worth the trip. Gluten free and dairy light eater. I am always looking for a quick Mexican Restaurant. This place ticked several boxes for me. Great customer service. Clean restaurant. Good took 10 minutes, all fresh. I ordered a rolled corn taco plate that came with beans and rice. I also got green and red sauce on the side. Freshly made filled tacos. These were not frozen, the wait staff said they were made to order. Great crunch and with the added toppings ( lettuce, cheese, guacamole, sour cream which I didn't get). There was only 3 I could have eaten more. I've read some reviews that they reduced their plate size because of prices. The beans were basic but good side. I ate it with rice. The rice was pretty good. Some mex rice has peas and carrots. These did not. Really good flavor. The sauces were both flavorful. The green was my favorite. The red was a bit spicy and not vinegary at all which I have had in other sauces. Overall I will return. read more

This local restaurant is a hidden gem! Bail on the mega franchises and support this local restaurant!!! We were amazed by the food and the nice atmosphere. The variety of delicious meats was impressive, and I especially enjoyed the fresh flour tortillas. The chili verde was full of flavor, and my wife couldn't get enough of the street tacos. It's hard for find a family owned Mexican food restaurant in East Mesa. Rudy's is outstanding! They have a variety of food from enchiladas to enormous burritos. My personal favorite is the Cream Cheese Burrito. Service is quick and brings the food right to your table. It is truly a neighborhood spot as I seen my neighbors there all the time. It has a smaller dining room for people who want to stay and eat, and great take away. It is a must try! read more

I was close to hangry and needed something quick. With uncharacteristically little research, I chose Rudy's Grill. I got a burrito and a breakfast bowl to save for the morning. (Kitchen remodels lend ample opportunity for takeout). The burrito was HUGE! Delicious, and the tortilla seemed homemade. The breakfast bowl was machaca and scrambled eggs over refried beans with cheese. This isn't really a typical thing I'd order, but it was so good!! My order came with red and green salsas. I'm usually more of a red salsa person but I liked the green better on the burrito. The red salsa was pretty dang close to perfect though-- will require more research! read more

Was craving Mexican and decided to order in from this place, which was rated high in UberEats. Food arrived quick and looked pretty...but was super bland. I got a shredded beef chimichanga. The outside was too hard, the inside was undercooked, the meat was super dry and had no flavor. It had the tiniest bit of sour cream on top. I also added guac, which cost $1, and there was maybe 2 small spoonfuls. The chips were not great either - super (too) crunchy, thick, and unsalted. For the 3 salsas that came with the chips, the red was good - spicy, green was good, and the 3rd was a container of chopped onion.... I assume it was supposed to be pico with tomatoes and cilantro, but it was almost all just onion. This one's a no for me. read more

One of the best Mexican spots I've been to since I moved to AZ. My go-to spot when I'm craving Mexican food. Al pastor burrito and tacos were great. They were also super accommodating when we told them that my wife was vegan. They cleaned their cooktop and changed their gloves on top of making sure there was no dairy in or near her food. I've reviewed it before, but felt compelled to update after I watched the hard working staff get berated for the food taking too long. First of all, this isn't Taco Bell. You can eat in or take out, but I strongly suggest calling ahead if you are taking out. Why? Well, if you do eat in, you will see about 5 people (one of which is the owner) working their tails off in the kitchen. The phone is always ringing and there's always a steady stream of customers. And the food? It's so fresh! Everything is made with care and delicious. You can't go wrong with the menu and the margaritas are always potent. Loved Rudy's! Tonight was our first night in and most definitely won't be our last! We started with the bean dip and margaritas. Really appreciate they offer single or double shots in your marg. Obviously we went with the doubles and no regrets. Service was on point! They were super friendly and on top of it. Now to the entrees, they did not disappoint. I had the queso tacos with the birria. The beef was perfectly tender and flavorful. The consommé was delicious as well. My boyfriend had the quesadilla and he just kept saying how good it was.
