We came to Solstice for a Friday night date night. It wasn't crowded at all! The restaurant is pretty big so there's kind of two different indoor seating areas plus an outdoor area, as well as seating around the bar. The main indoor seating area was mostly full but the other areas only had a few people. We asked to sit outside since it was a beautiful day/evening, and they were happy to accommodate us. On the reservation request I had noted that we were celebrating our anniversary, so once we were seated they brought out a little "Happy Anniversary" card signed by the whole staff. It was a very thoughtful touch! We started by ordering a Summer Barrel Aged Cocktail to drink. It reminded me of an Old Fashioned. It was good! I personally tend to like sweeter drinks a bit more, but I was in the mood for something different from my usual and this sounded like an interesting flavor combination, so I was happy with my choice. Next we ordered short rib croquettes as a starter, and the seafood risotto and the branzino as the mains. The food didn't take very long to come out. The short rib croquettes were amazing! It definitely left you wanting more. I honestly would have ordered that as a main, it was that good. The seafood risotto was so rich and flavorful. It had a creamy, buttery texture with a mild seafood flavor but not overpowering. It was a beautiful saffron color too. The branzino was also excellent. In short, we loved all the food and we left feeling very full with even a bit of food leftover. We skipped dessert since we were just too full. Overall, everything about this place was great - good service, great food, and a nice ambiance. The parking situation is also super easy since there's a large garage right next to it and they validate. It seems to be in a business park so the garage was pretty empty by 6pm on a Friday.
We came here to celebrate the wonderful and sweet Mag for her birthday. It was an amazing experience brought by Mr. Brandon. He was fun and very inviting. We all knew we were going to order cocktails, and he went to each of us individually and asked us to describe what we wanted ie. vodka, gin, tequila, strong, fruity etc. and had the bartender craft our cocktails according to our key descriptions. That was fun! For food, I ordered the Watermelon Feta Salad with chicken 10/10! I would order that again. Aside from the drinks, food and excellent service, the atmosphere is super modern and cute. I loved the décor. I am overall happy that Mag picked this place for her birthday lunch. Thank you, Brandon for the excellent service! Would come back again!
Solstice is a seasonal restaurant in Irvine with a focus on fresh ingredients. The food was pretty good. Service was okay. The server was nice, but kind of distracted and forgetful. I did like that since we had a birthday in our party, they brought a little treat for us to celebrate. * Seafood Risotto 5/5 - The risotto was perfectly flavored with a creamy and silky texture. The seafood was also delicious. * Short Rib Pappardelle 3/5 - The pappardelle pasta had a nice chewy texture. The sauce was okay, kind of salty. The shredded short ribs were slightly tough/overcooked and not tender. * Sweet Corn Bisque 5/5 - The corn was blended smoothly into a creamy soup. The tortilla strips added some texture to the dish. * Grilled Branzino 4.5/5 - The grilled branzino had very crispy skin. The fish tasted good atop of a unique sauce mixed between mole rojo and Aleppo crema with sprinkles of pomegranate seeds. * Ribeye 4/5 - The ribeye was okay, kinda fatty. We ordered medium and it was medium rare. At least it was tender. The mashed potato was yummy. * Parker House Rolls 4/5 - The bread was soft and fluffy.
Solstice is an exquisite restaurant that serves classic American food within a socially-driven atmosphere; the beautiful ambiance is perfect for a special occasion. For happy hour, there is a variety of familiar simple bites to choose from. We ordered the sliders flight which includes a normal cheeseburger, fried chicken, and pork belly. We also ordered the sea bass crudo which had a tangy, oceanic flavor, highlighting lightness and simplicity. The short rib croquettes were crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. The flavors of each dish did not stand out and were primarily bland, especially the sliders flight. To add, the sauce that was to be paired with the croquettes was extremely cheesy. The taste of the food was uninspiring. When seated in the patio area by the hostess, we were not greeted by any waiter/waitress. For 15 minutes, we were left in a state of confusion. The other servers who were tending to other parties did not even care to see if we were taken care of yet. I had to go inside and self-initiate a conversation with someone at the station to get our order moving along.

I came here during the week for their social hour. I sat at the lower table connected to the bar. Our waiter (Sebastian) was fantastic. Checked on us multiple times in addition to letting us know additional specials not listed on the menu and checking on us before social hour ended. We got the short rib croquettes and the slider flight. All were excellent tasting. The short rib was tender and the potatoes were well seasoned. The burger was my favorite sandwich on the flight. It was tender and juicy and very flavorful. The pork belly sandwich was also nice. The Nashville hot chicken has a kick to it in case you like a bit of spice. The pricing was very reasonable as the flight was only $13. The food was so tasty that I will definitely be back for the social hour but I also want to try their usual menu as well. Parking is in a lot connected to the building. You'll need to grab the ticket to enter the structure but the restaurant validates parking.
Ordered: - 2x slider flight (5/5): We were both shocked by how well each slider was executed. While our favorite one was the beef slider for the classic burger vibe we were both very surprised by how crispy, meaty, yet easy to chew the pork belly slider was. The sauce and veggies kept the pork slider from being too heavy. As for the chicken slider we really liked the fry on it and how juicy it was but felt that it was too salty. - Sea Bass Crudo (5/5): Quite possibly one of the best crudos I have ever had and my favorite dish of the night. The sea bass was super meaty and fresh and the sauce gave it a very unique twist. Normally we only have refreshing light crudos but this one was a lot oilier and heavier with the chili crisp and serrano peppers. My gf found the dish too spicy but it was just right for me. - Spicy Tuna Tartare (4/5): Super refreshing and loved the chip pairing. I would have personally preferred more tuna and less avocado but I was still pretty happy with it. - Rye Punch (5/5) - Strawberry Yuzu Butter Cake (4.5/5): We were shocked by how big this dessert was especially since we were already pretty full - it looked like a challenge to finish even though we were sharing it. Really loved the light flavors and the fact that it wasn't too sweet for us. Only thing that could be better is that we couldn't really taste the yuzu. Overall (5/5): Very happy that we decided to check out the seasonal menu at Solstice! Service was great and restaurant was pretty quiet since we were there early. I personally love the decor of the place too. Given the quality and care put to each dish served we hope to be back soon!
Definitely in my top 3 brunch places in OC! This is a restaurant that changes their menu seasonally - their food is DELICIOUS, EXCEPTIONAL, EXQUISITE, ALL THE THINGS. This is a place where you bond with complete strangers over the flavor. When I ate their Parker house rolls, I looked over at the table next to me as they waited to see my reaction - we looked at each other nearly teary eyed. Love the menu because in addition to the flavor, they have unique items you can't get anywhere else...our waitress is a sauce girly like me and gave us some baked potato aioli for our French fries....I MEAN?!? Enough said on the food... Bonuses are the location is lovely and service was great. Parking Advice and PSA: Enter the garage from Dupont - if you enter from Teller and don't have monthly access, you will suffer from backing out of the long entrance onto a busy 2-way street. Solstice....you guys are killing it! Wish you continued success. I will be back many many many times.
Came here for brunch. The place has an upscale vibe and the staff is very nice. There is a lot to park in and the restaurant validates. We got the cranberry sage mimosa and pear ginger mimosa to drink. For a starter, we got the house made biscuits. Our entrees were the pblt, crab cake benedict, and lobster roll. Cranberry Sage Mimosa- This is sweet and fruity, carried by the cranberry sage syrup. A touch of lime gives it an extra burst of citrus. Pear Ginger Mimosa- This is a sweet and spicy drink with a strong pear flavor and a little zing of ginger. Quite refreshing! House Made Biscuits- The biscuits are hot and fluffy with a nice crusty top. Served with thyme butter and sweet honey spread. PBLT- This sandwich has a pork belly base that is savory and meaty. A bit of tomato jam gives it a nice contrast and honey bacon aioli adds a little sweetness. Crab Cake Benedict- The crab cake is fresh and poached eggs add extra bulk with each bite. The hollandaise sauce ties the flavors together. Served with a side of green salad. Lobster Roll- Fresh lobster pieces tossed in a cold mayo dressing. Served on a buttery bun with a side of crispy fries. Tasty! Great experience overall!
Came here for the second time and tried out their spring menu. We got the sea bass crudo ($20), chicken and waffles ($28), steak and eggs ($29), and the strawberry yuzu French toast ($20) . We wanted to try the lobster and shrimp roll, but they ran out. The sea bass crudo had a great flavor (citrus ponzu and chili garlic crunch), and most of the pieces were tender. My fave entree was the steak and eggs. There was a generous portion of fluffy eggs, and the steak was soft and moist when cooked medium rare. My second favorite was the seasonal French toast. I normally don't like French toast, but this texture was soft and not too soggy, and you can taste all the butter. The fresh strawberries made the French toast look so pretty. The chicken and waffles were just ok. The apricot jam was a nice seasonal touch, and the skin was pretty crispy, but the chicken itself was kind of dry and flavorless on its own.
I was in the area for a conference and stopped in for dinner before I checked into my hotel. I sat at the bar and ordered a Smokey the pear drink, short rib croquettes and the solstice burger. Everything was great! I enjoyed my time and plan to return whenever I am in Irvine! Parked in the structure and received validation from the bartender.
All of the food and drinks were sooo good. Our waiter Brandon gave excellent service and great recommendations on appetizers and drinks. 100% would come again and super excited to try their next seasonal items.
Came here for lunch yesterday. Originally I made a reservation for the patio, but upon arrival I felt like it was a bit underwhelming and so we decided to sit inside. The restaurant is nice and has a clean and airy feel to it. The service was great and the food was just okay. I had been wanting to come here for such a long time, so it was a bit of a letdown. The Parker House rolls were very good and ended up being the best thing we ate. My Greens and Grains Salad was good, and my sister's mussels Rockefeller were tasty but not amazing.

This place is one of the best in the OC! Great food, creative cocktails, and excellent service! I believe most of the reviewers complain about the places that do not keep the quality over the time. However, this place seems one of the exception! I have waited to write this review till making sure that I feel a similar experience during my visits. Additionally, I have pretty tried all items on the menu and experienced that this place don't disappoint you with quality even if it's rush days. Even though I like most of the items on the menu, I would like to highlight some of my favorite drinks and foods: Mezcal Cocktail 1: I highly recommend the mezcal cocktail that perfectly blend with Benedictine and charcoal. It s a colorful and delicious cocktail to start before the meal. Tequila Cocktail 2: This is one of my dessert cocktails serve with figs garnish. I can't say it's super sweet cocktail but it's a great alternate solution if you try to avoid dessert Branzino : I am a huge fan of European branzino. I will admit that the one I have at Solstice reminds me to one that I tried it Europe. It perfectly cooked and never serve with dryness( Note: I ordered four different times). They also perfectly goes well with sea beans. Short Rib: This is my other favorite item on the menu. All the time was served perfectly cooked. As well as the food, I must say that service team is amazing too! The front team is very knowledgeable and guide you well on your selections. However, I would like to mention that Brittany is one of the best always welcome us, and pay attention on details. read more

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Ever since the pandemic we always joke around about "service being dead". The price of eating out has soared through the roof while customer service has been on the decline. Not at solstice! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and felt warmth. Every staff member was so friendly and attentive. They put us at the best table in the house and with an incredible server named Connor who really knew his shit and told us exactly what we should expect throughout the dining experience. It's not just an eat and sit type of spot. It's a culinary ride where they create the menu based on the season so everything you order has the present season infused starting with very unique cocktails that were all very good. I had the whiskey 5 and my fiancé had the vodka 1 and 2 all which are just so good. The muscles, crudo, lobster gnocchi, and malbec short rib were great choices. Teegan was a really really good server as well. She made the experience delightful and pleasant. We hope to have her and Connor serve us for the next visit. My family & I have loved Solstice since it opened. But last night was a reminder of why! We hosted a private birthday dinner with 14 people and it. was. perfect. Tegan helped us plan the entire event start to finish, which included a custom beverage menu (SO fun! & they have incredible mocktails that allow everyone to join in the fun) & a ton of other wonderful details that brought everything together. The appetizers were awesome- we had everything from Tuna Tartare to Charcuterie boards. Entrees were amazing (most of the table ordered and raved about the filet and short-rib) and the desserts were to die for (ricotta donuts, fudge cake & butter cake) The food & ambiance is INCREDIBLE, but the thing that makes my family and I come back again and again is the people. Lots of restaurants have great food (although I would argue that Solstice's food is the best seasonal upscale dining you can find in the OC) - but the people set it apart;Tegan, Frank, Brandon, Hunter, Chris & more, always make us feel like family & take such good care of us. Came here for my friends birthday dinner. We started with the salmon crudo and rolls for the appetizers. They rolls came with an all spice butter and it was an interesting combination of salty and sweet. I didn't love it and would probably skip ordering these if I came back. Next was the salmon crudo over an avocado butter. You could tell they used really fresh ingredients. My only criticism was that there wasn't more! The best part of the meal was the main dish. I ordered the wagyu short rib. Rarely do I order dinner and finish everything on the plate. Usually there's some stray veggies left behind. That was not the case here! The meat was perfectly seasoned and it was so tender. The veggies and the mashed potatoes complimented the short rib beautifully. Hosted a work team dinner here and had a wonderful end to end experience. Tegan was a huge help in organizing and ensuring we had options for all the dietary restrictions in our group. She even went so far as to make us a beautiful custom menu branded with our event title. Given the exceptional service my expectations for the meal were high and they still managed to blow them out of the water. From the tasty cocktails (I loved the beet Negroni!) to delectable food everyone was left with smiles on their faces. The only words of disappointment were of people disappointed they couldn't have tried more than one main course because they all looked so good. My wagyu short rib was cooked to perfection and paired with delicious cheesy grits. I can't wait to go back soon and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an ideal balance of service, ambience, and deliciousness! read more

Me and my girl friends found Solstice through social media and decided to try it out for our girls night dinner. I would like to start off this review by saying our dining experience was amazing because of our server Daniel. He is one of the most honest and personable servers I've had in awhile and gave amazing recommendations. He deserves a raise!!! He was attentive and professional as well as polite and enthusiastic. I would recommend anyone coming to request him as your server!! 10/10 service from Daniel! When I come back I'd request him from now on. Solstice's menu is seasonally based and we happened to come one week after they changed to their Spring menu. This keeps things very novel and fresh to the season, which I absolutely love. Drinks: 8.5/10 I think the drinks selection was incredibly unique and extensive. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vodka 2 (lime and saffron) because it was not overly sweet and was surprisingly tangy, which is what I like in my drinks. Some of the drinks were a bit too sweet for my liking (the rum cocktail) but I would highly recommend the spiked coffee with dessert! It is a warm drink that is really delicious. Appetizers: 8.5/10 We got the rolls, solstice salad, and the tartare. I love the solstice salad, it's unique in taste and is very refreshing. The taretare was a table favorite. The rolls were good and had a unique spread that reminded me of the fall. I enjoyed it, but it was not one of my highlights of the night. Entrees: 9/10 Everything was packed with flavor!!! If you're going in a group the porterhouse steak is a must! It was cooked to perfection and was so flavorful, the chimichurri sauce was so good and had raisins to offset the saltiness and tang from the vinaigrette. This was probably my favorite of the entrees. The lobster gnocchi came in a close second! The pappardelle was great as well. It was a thick noodle coated in a thick meat sauce, it is on the heavier side of the dishes. I would have liked a little more bite to this or something to cut the richness. Dessert: 8/10 Daniel made great recommendations! The coffee donuts were good, but not the most spectacular. They were moist and crispy on the outside. I really loved the strawberry yuzu butter cake: it was moist, rich, but not overwhelming! We got an additional dessert as we were celebrating, which was really nice of them. TLDR: Daniel was a great server and will recommend the right drinks, food, and dessert for YOU. If there's anything you don't like he'll take care of it! read more

We came for brunch and ordered: - Apple Waldorf salad - Craft your own omelette - Buttermilk chicken and waffles Everything was delicious! We decided to try this gem after resding about it in Orange County Register. We walked in and were promptly seated. The restaurant is very modern and absolutely gorgeous. Our server greeted us and gave us the low down on the drinks. I had the smoked whiskey and my wife tried the daiquiri. Both were great. The whiskey was really smooth and her daiquiri was sweet but more citrus. We had an salmon appetizer and it was delicious but my wife felt the lemon overwhelmed the avocado. I felt it was very refreshing. Dinner was amazing. I had the halibut and my wife had the wagu beef noodle. The waiter even brought us out a shrimp dish to try. We topped it off with the doughnuts and spiked coffee. This place is more than just a place to eat. It is truly a dining experience. Incredible food. Service and ambiance. What an amazing new restaurant in OC! Parking was easy- they validate. And a great location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options! Food: Crab cake Benedict - AMAZING Butternut squash grilled cheese - GREAT Drink: Vodka Cocktail 1 - SO GOOD. Definitely try this! Tequila Cocktail 1 - pretty good. Their ice had their logo engraved which was cool. Rum Cocktail - VERY GOOD - definitely recommend this! So unique and delicious! Not only were the food and drinks were SO DELICIOUS but the customer service was just AMAZING! The attention to detail they put into their ingredients and the atmosphere is impeccable. Absolutely loved Solstice! Tried it out for dinner for the first time with the girls and had such a great experience. Our server Daniel was so helpful in helping us navigate the menu. He was refreshingly honest and suggested amazing choices for a family style dinner. Solstice has such a great concept regarding their seasonal menu with all items made in house. The attention to detail from the table setting, to the drinks, & to the food was very refreshing for OC. Solstice is a great restaurant for catching up as the attention to detail allowed us time to really relax and enjoy each other's company in addition to the wonderful meal. The highlight of the spring solstice menu was the house porter steak and the solstice salad! The porter was cooked to perfection with a refreshing chimichurri sauce on top. The solstice salad was very potent but in a good way if you're a garlic girl The Wagyu pappardelle is the perfect complimentary pasta to share with the steak. We really enjoyed the drink menu, highly recommend The French to start the meal light & fresh. Then ending with a spiked coffee to compliment dessert. We loved the strawberry butter cake, the condensed milk with yuzu topped it off perfectly. Overall Solstice is a very refreshing dining experience in Orange County and I would highly recommend Daniel as a server. The best time to go would be lunch for a bright and social meal or a very relaxing dinner. read more

I'm planning to come back in a couple of days and all the time. The dishes are on point and so tasty; not overloaded with sugar etc. Hats off to the Head Chef and amazing management and I have dined in James Beard's Foundation & Michelin Star restaurants... I just love this restaurant. I have entertained guests and clients here and none have been disappointed. The venue is trendy, the service is outstanding and the food is marvelous. With the seasonal menus, it's like Costco - I find a treasure each time I go!! The only negative is reservations for a large group. They seem to not favor groups over 8. You are mandated to leave a credit card number which is the trend these days at most restaurants. read more

I'm the parking structure attached to the building called "The Boardwalk". They will validate your parking.
Do they do anything special on summer/winter solstices?

Can you tell me (with some detail) what your vegan entrees are?
Do they charge corkage? If then, how much they charge per bottle? Ty!
Corkage is $25. Offer to share some of your wine with your server and maybe they will waive the fee.
Are dogs allowed on the outside patio?
Licensed service dogs are allowed on the patio.
Is there a corkage fee?
We are glad to open and serve any wine that is not available on our wine list for $25 corkage fee.
