Honey Butter Cornbread, Towers Pick, Brushfire, The Boarding Pass
    Sarah L.

For the food, I ordered The Boarding Pass Charcuterie board, The Towers Pick, Brushfire (broccolini), Honey Butter Cornbread, and the tiramisu. First off, that cornbread is seriously THE BEST cornbread i've ever had. It came out hot and fresh and I honestly could've ate the whole thing myself. The Towers Pick was sirloin with mushroom risotto and the sirloin was cooked just the way I liked and seasoned perfectly. The risotto was so creamy and delicious too! The broccolini and charcuterie board were also very good! Portions were amazing here! Overall, I highly recommend Solera. It's a cute date night/lunch time spot, even a celebration spot though it is a bit small inside but there was a birthday celebration next to me! 10/10 recommend!

Solera is now one of my favorite restaurants and place to get a drink! I walked in and was immediately greeted by a smile and all staff! Shoutout to Mellanie, Rylee, Kaia, and Christine who made mine and my cousins experience the best! They were on it with every request we had and made sure we were taken good care of The inside is very intimate and on the smaller end but that's what I love about it. We were sat at the bar and it was amazing. My favorites were definitely their artichokes, charcuterie board, and their deconstructed beef Wellington! Rylee had also suggested a white wine to me and it was the perfect drink. I will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes and have a stop for some wine and amazing service ! Service: 10/10 Parking: (street parking so it's a little harder to find) 7/10 Food: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Cleanliness: 10/10

Solera is a quaint wine bar where the owner Brandon's knowledge and passion for wine is apparent. I do suggest making a reservation and be aware that the tables are quite close together. It's a very lively, cozy vibe. We felt so well taken care of by all of the staff. I appreciated that they made my 86 year old grandmother smile and laugh throughout the meal, and made an extra effort to make sure she had everything that she needed. We both ordered the same dish, The Hangar, and it arrived to the table beautifully presented with the steak perfectly cooked. The dish was certainly unique, and I found out later it's their deconstructed take on a beef wellington. Personally I felt that the crepe on the bottom of the dish wasn't necessary and became soggy, but otherwise I absolutely loved the cook on the steak and the flavors in the dish. For dessert we had Connor's Closer which was olive oil cake with candied pecans and amaro-infused pears. It was moist and just the right amount of sweet. For the warm service alone, I'll be returning. It's also a perfect place to stop in for some charcuterie and a glass of wine at the bar.

What a fun evening! The place was packed and lively but the service (by Riley) was still charming as hell. She was attentive without being intrusive - although she was so charming and funny, she was a welcome addition. We had the charcuterie to start - frankly there was so much it could have been the entire meal for all four of us. What a steal at that price! We also had the artichokes - just a beautiful dish of food - and the bread service. Awesome. Two of us got the duck - the mole is the star. One of the best moles I've ever had. My wife got fish and another got pasta and all loved their food. Great night. Will be back often.

So happy to have Solera on Main Street! This wonderful, family run addition is just what Old Town needed. My husband and I have dined here twice now: once just the two of us, and once as a party of 8 for Father's Day. The food is flavorful and fresh. No beer or cocktails available, but the wine list is extensive. Brandon and his wife Nicole were extremely friendly and welcome feedback as they get into the flow of a new business. We look forward to many more nights spent at Solera!

My friend and I recently stumbled upon this place and let me tell you, I am so so happy I did! This was genuinely the best wine selection, and the yummiest charcuterie board ever. Like so big!! We didn't even end up ordering dinner because we just had so much fun enjoying wine and chatting. Brandon was so sweet and the energy of the people and the restaurant was amazing. We can't wait to come back.

Took myself to lunch here and the food did NOT disappoint. Pasta with a duck leg in a spicy sauce and I got the olives as an appetizer. I asked my server to pick a good Red wine for me and the wine she chose paired perfectly with my meal. I'm definitely coming back.

Solera Kitchen & Wine Bar is a hidden gem in Seal Beach! Every dish we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. The Preflight Bread Service, Honey Butter Cornbread, and Ground Control potatoes were the perfect way to start the meal. For our entrées, the Hangar, Wohrman Reserve, Pecking Through the Orchard, and Chophouse Standard were all cooked perfectly and each had its own unique flavors. Dessert was just as impressive. Conner's Closer and the chef's special tiramisu were the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

What a great, delicious, fun vibe Seal Beach needed this type of spot. Special wine tasting rotate every month. But they have a great wine selections. Wine is one, but the food is top tier. We order the burrata on toast with tomato, thin speck and pesto spread= delicious Speedbird- one of the best crispy skin, juicy in capers lemon sauce=10/10 Our server Carrie was amazing, running around the whole restaurant. We will be returning as regular for sure!

The ambiance was great! The servers were friendly and attentive. We tried a bunch of different small plates and loved them all. They were super knowledgeable about their wines and helped us pick out some tasty options. We will definitely be back!

My girlfriends and I visited during the soft opening, and it was such a lovely experience. We snagged a cozy lounge corner overlooking Main Street, which made for the perfect setting to catch up over good food and wine. We shared the charcuterie board, meatballs, and artichoke hearts, and everything was delicious. One friend ordered the halibut, and the presentation alone was enough to turn heads--it looked absolutely beautiful coming out of the kitchen. One thing that really stood out was the wine list. It felt thoughtfully curated and refreshingly different from the same handful of wines that seem to appear on every menu in town. It was fun to discover something new. The service was genuinely friendly and welcoming, especially impressive during a soft opening. You could feel the excitement and care from the staff, and it made the whole evening even more enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to coming back for a date night, and next time I'm saving room for dessert. Our town is lucky to have this addition to Main Street!

I've been about 2-3 times now, and the food has consistently been really good. That being said, I would definitely recommend a little more customer service training for the servers. Everyone I've encountered has been very nice, but sometimes it's the simple things, like showing that you're happy to serve your paying customers and making sure they feel taken care of. Each time I've visited, we've found ourselves waiting close to 30 minutes for our server to come by for refills, a to-go box, or even the check. I completely understand that mistakes happen and that things can get busy. I've worked in the restaurant industry before, so I really do try my best to be understanding. However, during one of my recent visits, my order came out incorrectly. There was an item on my plate that I had specifically requested not to have. Of course, mistakes happen, and I had no issue communicating the mistake to my server. What bothered me was that instead of apologizing for the error, she looked at me and simply walked away with the plate. I assumed it was a minor mistake and that she would have the order corrected. I could have just removed the item myself, but at the same time, I shouldn't have to pick through my food after receiving an incorrect order when I'm paying for it. When she brought the plate back, she simply left it on the table without saying anything or acknowledging the mistake. I actually found myself apologizing to her for making her do the extra work, and she just walked away. Overall, I really do think Luna is a great restaurant with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I'm sharing this feedback because I think with some improvement in customer service, communication, and wait times, Luna has the potential to be even better. I would definitely come back, and I hope this feedback is taken as constructive criticism rather than anything negative.

I have been a customer of Nick's 40+ times at minimum. However, they really need to start adding more salads to their menu. The traditional Nick's menu is good, it's very solid. I am a big fan of their filets, petit bistro salad, steak salad, and fish. None of those should be cut! But there needs to be, at minimum, one to two more entrée salad options. Quinoa is great, but doesn't work for everyone. Even just one or two added entree salads would make it much more enticing to return, especially for mixed gender groups. Ideally, the chef could rotate this salad through new concepts seasonally. No need for new menus, just do a specials card. If that's not possible, then one or two permanent salad items to cater to the health foodies would be AMAZING. The main issue is that the Nick's menu lacks innovation, which makes it hard to bring business partners or friends there on repeat visits. I wouldn't be so bothered except that the last time I went to Nick's I added chicken to a salad and they gave me a very poorly prepared piece of low quality chicken with three mouthfuls of bone and gristle. I can accept a stagnant menu if it is always prepared excellently, but I can't accept an inconsistent preparation and stagnant menu. Thank you to everyone at Nick's. Appreciate you all a lot.

Our waitress, Chelsea, was very accommodating, especially when I asked if there were any gluten-free options. I ordered the chicken wings, and they were delicious. They were crispy, crunchy, flavorful, and the sauces were really good. We also shared the chicken nachos, which were good as well. My only suggestion would be to add a little more cheese to the nachos, but overall I enjoyed everything. Our waiter was also great, which made the experience even better. There are so many good restaurants in this area, but I would definitely add this one to my list and come back again. I'd give the overall experience a 9/10.
