I saw that they now offer online booking and was so excited because I always hated calling in to make the appointments. Went in for my appointment at 3:45 and I'm honestly not sure if I was placed with the technician I booked with as there was no communication on who I was supposed to see or what I was receiving. Other than that I feel my technician did a pretty good job on what I wanted. It was my first time going back in after a couple of years of not getting my nails done so I forgot what shape I usually did and went with the basic rounded square tips. My only complaint after getting home is how much longer my point finger nails are and one is crooked. For a Saturday appointment I'm not too upset as I knew they would be busy. My daughter went to go get her nails done today for her birthday and the lady doing the nails was either new or clearly did not give a hoot about her job! My daughter's nails looked absolutely horrible. They were not filed down properly and underneath she did not even clean them up so my daughter told them to remove the nails and do a different design and they wanted to charge her for their mistake and at that point, she told them just to take them off completely and she will go somewhere else. It's always a 50/50 chance whether my nails will come out how I like them, depending on the tech. (I'm super simple, I just like short, thinish nails) However, this time she didn't even shape/ file the nails after putting on the acrylic. Also, the nails are the sloppiest I've ever had. They are bumpy, my nails look all puffy, and the edges are so unsightly. She also filed so hard, it cut my skin open 2x. I went in to have my nails redone from a terrible job I received somewhere else. Allie did a great job! I haven't had the best of luck since I stopped getting nails done many years ago. (Personal and professional reasons). I was nervous coming in because it sounds like they don't really use colored acrylic like my previous salon did. Allie was very accommodating and really understood my dilemma. She made sure to show me which products she was going to use, gave me choices and did the design almost exactly as I requested. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. My daughter had an appointment on Friday for 3:00 she was not seen until 4:05 they started multiple walk ins before her and left her waiting. Took over 2 hours for a fill. She took in an inspiration photo which the nails do not look like. Soon after leaving one of the designs popped with wet polish inside. The next morning 2 more nails lost the design because they were still wet and then one nail completely broke. She called to see if she could get them fixed and was told the only time was 6:45 tonight. She will be at work at that time and can't make it. She had already left one job early to try and deal with getting the mess corrected. She stopped in since they advertise walk ins, and was made to wait for her appointment for walk ins, and was rudely told they could not help her this week and the tech walked away. Worst customer service ever, way over priced, they don't listen and don't care about the customer at all! I came here In August following some others to get my nails done for the first time. I didn't want to come during COVID but my family moved to Texas so this was something my sister and I did together before they left. The salon was packed, we had to wait an extra hour to be seated even though I set up an appointment. Every chair was filled and no social distancing was in place. People even had guests sitting/standing in there watching them get their nails done. I'm not sure what my tech's name was but she seemed like a manager of some sort and was the one scheduling appointments. My sisters and my tech were efficient but very rough. My nails were uneven, ended up lifting a bit and she made me bleed. My sister was cut in multiple spots. After going somewhere else and paying less than I did here ($67), I'll never go back. Absolutely horrible. I had an appointment and had to wait 20 minutes to get sat down. After that the process began, I showed my inspiration picture just a basic French tip with a squoval shape. Begin doing my acrylics and a few were put on crooked I asked can we straighten these out she said they will after I shape... well they did not my pointer fingers were crooked and my nails were all different lengths, not only that the shape was straight square did not curve to meet my the shape I asked for. The French I requested was only one thin layer of white so it was see-through, usually it's two layers plus there was air bubbles in it after everything was done. I hate confrontation and based on her response for asking once about the crooked nails I knew I was not going to get what I wanted so I paid 70 dollars for probably my worst set of nails yet that I just finished soaking off. Will not being go there again... I wish I could just find a good nail salon. read more

Solar nails is like a factory. I called them last week to make an appointment with a tech named Ming because their Instagram ONLY posts her work and maybe one other tech's. (false advertisement) there are about 9 techs working at any given time. They don't keep a book and they don't write your name or your number down. When I got there I told them I had an appointment at 3. I was seated and seen by someone whom I showed the inspo picture below to. The next picture is what I received and the cracking/lifting is what happened a day after that. Was incredibly unhappy with the quality of work and later understood this tech was not Ming. I attempted to call solar nails to set an appointment to have these fixed. The manager was very curt and hard to understand on the phone. She told me she was unavailable until around 6 on Saturday. Also DMed Ming on Instagram to explain my situation (yesterday was my birthday) and no response. When I got there, they had no idea who I was. I explained the situation all over again and while the manager was filing my nails, told me that "if Ming was going to do my nails she'd charge me however much she felt like". ???? What? No. She told me it was my responsibility to "say the tech's name I had an appointment with" when I came in initially even though I'm a new client and couldn't have known they DONT KEEP A BOOK. I told her I needed them taken off and my money back, then, because I wasn't paying again for the service. She started to protest until I explained this wasn't my fault and I didn't think it was acceptable to have cracked, lifting nails after two days and to not have been seen by the tech I asked to see. Ming also apparently told her manager that she refused to do my nails from here on out. Extremely rude and pretentious for a salon in Keizer, Oregon and unacceptable behavior. Only gave an extra star because they gave me my money back. Don't waste your time. Go to a salon where they know you and care about you and the health of your nails and how they look. read more
