After looking through reviews on both Google and Yelp, I've read a few that are terribly skewed. I've been a patron of Dip Nails for well over a year. Despite claims from other reviewers, the ladies at Dip Nails are always very friendly and accommodating. They do their best to fit you in if you haven't made an appointment or request a last minute appointment. They do an awesome job with all of the services that I've ever purchased (Dip, manicure, gel manicure, gel pedicure, eyebrow wax), so I'm baffled by some of the reviews posted. It almost seems that some reviewers are just being spiteful or trying to solicit free services. I've also seen this take place in person while getting my own services. 10/10 recommend Dip Nails. They always do a great job. Do yourself a favor and get pampered for a change. read more

The picture speaks for itself. This is why I don't like that salons use a dremel to remove the cuticles. The skin on my fingers is shredded now. You can also see the scabs from where the tech cut my fingers. The tech also tried telling me the reason she was getting my skin was because I wasn't relaxed enough. My hand and fingers couldn't be more relaxed, they just didn't want to take accountability for cutting me. The nails themselves look good, but the actual manicure is really bad. Then they asked us again when she sat down for the pedicure and I said the kids pedicure. They said ok. They charged us the adult price and when I questioned it they said it's for 10 and under. Wow, I walked in around 11:30 on a Saturday afternoon and got right in. I called when I was 5 minutes down the road and they said come on. They seemed pretty busy with many walking in for set appointments so I was surprised to have gotten right in. The water was lovely; very hot like I like. I splurged a little and went for the #3 luxury pedicure with regular polish. The milk & honey collagen package is absolutely divine. The lotion is cooling and feels like it's promoting blood flow to my legs. I loved it! The girl who did my pedi was amazing, strong massage that never seemed to end (well worth the extra $10 for luxury pkg) and the polish was perfect. This is my new Salem favorite! DONT GO TO THE MAN. I booked a 11:30 appointment did not get seated until an hour later waiting on somebody to my nails. Specifically asked the lady if they can do exactly what the picture looks like she said yes & it would be 55$ so I waited it out not getting mad that I booked a appointment just to still have to wait an hour til we got started. the man that did them skinned my cuticle with the machine & kept shoving my hands down I didn't once say nothing but "ouch" when it started bleeding I told him to make sure they are square please and he rolled his eyes kept grabbing my fingers, twisting them way to hard, never had somebody turn them so much like that then ending of the process he insisted they were 75$ not 55 after he did them and I told him that wasn't right but he kept yelling saying " no you pay 75$ " so I felt stuck in the moment. I've been here three times already, and I have loved them every time I've gone. The pedicure was absolutely delicious, the massage chairs work well, and their selection is of great selection! Relaxing atmosphere, a little crowded when there are people checking in, but we're required to wear masks as is the staff as they have implemented necessary safety precautions. I usually have really good experiences here but my latest visit was very disappointing. I made an appointment for my friends and I (3 people total). One manicure was supposed to start at 11:30 and the other two at 12. We all three arrived at 11:30 and waited 30 minutes for them to start the first manicure. At 12:30, we were told that there was only two nail techs available so the sets would be back to back rather than at the same time, and that each set took 45 minutes to do. At this point, the remaining two of us decided we didn't want to wait that long as we had plans for the rest of the day. We anticipated being done by 12:45-1pm, and if we had stayed, we wouldn't have been done until 1:45-2pm. After telling them we changed our minds, they complained about us to my friend who was almost finished with her manicure and glared at us the rest of the time we were there. I hate giving bad reviews. But honestly, I think people should be aware of a few things and hopefully, by me sharing my story, might help someone else. First I just wanted to say that my initial first impression of this place was fantastic, The owner Linda was sweet, and booked me or an appointment for today, as yesterday she was booked and the 2 ladies that were there were ranting and raving about them saying that they followed them from another salon. This made me very excited. I wanted to find a place that I could come to on a regular basis. My appointment was at 11, but when I got there, they were incredibly busy and didn't seat me for another 15 minutes, and only after seating a walk-in who was waiting there when I came in. I've never had dip nails before. Linda told me that it would be 30 to get my gel removed and a dip applied. Turns out when I paid it was actually 40. NBD. But then I was told when I was paying that I would be charged for the nail file (an additional $2). AND that she was charging me an extra $3 to remove the gel, (which is apparently not included in the $40). Now this is where I get upset. Rewind about 30 minutes and the lady (not Linda) didn't catch her name, who was filing my nails with the brand new file that I was going to be paying for, is being very rough on my nails and slices my finger. I yanked my hand away and told her that it hurt. She looked at me irritated and said "its cuz your nails too short." when she finished, I showed her where she cut my finger, and it was at that point she reluctantly said sorry. First, I don't think I should have to pay $45 for nails where you jacked up my finger and then blamed me for YOUR carelessness. Second, It would be helpful if you had a disclaimer posted about the nail file policy, or disclose this to customers before you start working on their nails, so they're not obligated to an additional charge that they are not aware of. Third, it would have been nice to have some of that fee waived, considering what you did to my finger; and Finally, it's also a bit rude to be on your cell phone multiple times when you're with a customer. Not only that but its a bit unprofessional. Transparency is pretty much a form of honesty, and when your prices are vague and charge people for hidden fees, it makes people not want to come back. Also, take accountability for when you mess up, apologize and be genuine about it, don't blame the customer for your error. YOU cut my finger because YOU weren't being careful. By the way, my nails are 1/2 inch past the fingertip, so, its not that short, but either way, that's not the reason my finger was sliced open, it was you. On top of that the attitude towards me when I pointed out your error just made it worse. read more

I've never been to a nail salon I was really impressed with until now. These guys are so good! I got dip French tips and the relaxed pedicure--totally recommend the upgrade, I got a hot stone massage on my legs, extensive scrub, long massage with lotion... and the mani is perfect! I always get them kind of short so the grow out isn't as bad and they last longer lol... they're thin and even thickness (which--sounds like a low bar but the first time I got dip nails elsewhere they were humped and uneven). My mom also got a mani pedi and her feet look amazing.... she has thick toenails and heel calluses and they used a Dremel for the toenails and a special grater for the heels. I saw that this place just opened and had good reviews so I figured I would give it a shot. I called and made an appointment and was able to schedule next day. Two pedicures, two manicures (one shellac one reg.) The inside is clean and nicely updated. There were a couple down sides. They charge extra for certain polishes and certain foot scrubs. I appreciated that they let you know prior to doing it. Also, they used very little lotion when doing the massage which was not very pleasant. Would HIGHLY recommend setting an appointment because people came in and they were asked to come back later due to nail tech availability. Lastly, they ask if you wanna leave a tip when paying with card which is kind of awkward. They don't have a tip line on the receipt. All these things are minor. Love Dip Nails & so happy I came across them! The dip (SNS) powder builds a nice hard coat over your nail that will last until your grow-out drives you crazy and you need to come back in! My nails grow fast so 4 weeks is pushing it. Other ladies' I've talked with go 1x/month. Great quality and hundreds of colors to choose from! Almost 5 stars ! The only downside is that they don't label which samples are for dip or shellac. So everyone is constantly asking them which is for which . My suggestion is for them to purchase key chains with the letters S (for Shellac) D (for Dip), B (for both) then just attach them to the ring they have the colors on . Such a simple solution to issue because the system they use now which I think is just putting them in diff baskets ISNT WORKING as ppl put the color samples in which ever basket is nearest. read more
