Do not go here if you want long acrylic nails. The owner over filed my natural nail, then proceeded to lay the thinnest acrylic layer I've ever seen on top. I had lifting nails in under a week. One nail cracked and fell off, taking half of my natural nail with it. The weakest nails I've ever had. I literally had a nail lift from grabbing something out of my purse. Long nails need to be thick--something the owner of this place clearly doesn't know. Don't agree to do longer acrylic sets if you don't know what you're doing--you can seriously hurt people. The next nail tech I saw commented on how thin my natural nail bed had been filed, and asked if I had actually gotten them from a nail salon--it was so bad she was thinking some rookie who didn't work in a salon did them. read more

I'll start with the pros: Very nice people, good artwork on nails. Pretty easy to get an appointment. Cons: Over priced for what you receive. I shouldn't have to fix my nails when I get home. I got a full set and I had to file the glue off of my skin because they didn't do clean work, rushed through the whole manicure & pedicure. Uneven surface on my fingernails. Pedicure wasn't worth the money. You have a half job of cleaning the dead skin between the nail and toe. And when I left, I didn't feel refreshed or satisfied. Spending over $100 for crap job was not my idea of a relaxing day getting my manicure and pedicure done. They came highly recommended but I won't recommend them no matter if they've been in business for over 20yrs. Maybe it was a fluke day when I went. But I'm not going back. Made a same day appointment over the phone and was easily slotted. I wouldn't recommend walking in as they have regular clientele that have standing appointments. Over the phone I discussed wanting manicure w/ design along with a pedicure. I wanted to emphasize the design part as I've noticed nail salons usually only have 1 person that can do something besides your basic 5 petaled white flower. My pedicure was amazing. Chi took care of me for that portion and didn't skimp on the massage like other places I've been to. After that I was passed off to Hung to take care of everything but the design for my manicure. Once he was done doing his part I inspected my nails and saw one of my cuticles has been cut and was bleeding. On one of my thumbs there was some areas where more polish could have been applied. Only one finger could have used some cleanup as it had flowed over to my skin. Trina took care of the design portion. Amazing! She is very charismatic and great at what she does. I showed her a picture and she was able to not only replicate it but improve. I couldn't believe how fast she had worked! Went in for my second time getting my nails done and asked for a full set. I was quoted only $75 for a full set of solar nails. I am clueless to this process of nails and all the options, being the salon knew this I felt comfortable with her. This turned to be a mistake. I got acrylic full set with added jewels just added to various nails, not even in a even placement. Unknown to me that jewels must cost a lot because at the end the owner lady said "$92" WTF I was surprised the price, just for a full set. They look like I could of done them plus you can see my nail under them. I am very disappointed in these. I have had multiple people that do their nails regularly say I was taken for my money, so I thought I would share my experience in hopes it helps someone else that is new at this. read more

I've come here twice before and the last time I didn't get the husband or wife or daughter- I got the son. He did an atrocious job putting gel on me. He shouted questions at his dad every ten minutes asking how to do stuff, absolutely tore my nails to shreds with one tool that his dad told him to use but he wasn't quite sure how, and the polish was messy and sloppy. One nail was only half painted and three others had huge globs on the nail bed. It was bad and expensive. I've been coming here for over a decade, and there has been a couple hit and misses when there are new employees in training but they are so kind and efficient. They work very hard to sure enough in walk in even on a busy day. They are fast at their work and know what they are doing. They offer a wide variety of not only nail accommodations but waxing as well. Most importantly I am confident that they use sterile equipment and know how to use them properly. They even have signs warning that they do not remove callasus like other places might over since it's not procedure allowed in Oregon at least. Oregon also requires you to have your own file, buffer, speedsters etc but if you need a kit they are not expensive to add on and they let you keep it after. I absolutely love their hand done art they are phenomenal at doing. But I'm a hurry they're great with airbrush designs too. Trina loves to try new things if you have a specific design in mind. I can't wait to come here for my wedding one day, and I have had my nails done here for every dance growing up. I'm super rough on my nails so they usually only last a week but that's definitely on me. read more

First time getting my nails done here & I won't be back. I get a shellac mani on my natural nails & pedi every 3 to 4 weeks & my nails & toes always look great. My appt here was for a shellac mani pedi... I had to have my old shellac removed & they had me soak my nails while they did my pedi. They do things differently here which I get, however instead of scraping off the shallac, as im used to, she used a dremel...within a day my nails chipped & within another couple days my nails broke off & chipped more. I'm guessing it's the use of the dremel & poor products. My toes are doing the same thing & they used the dremel on them as well. My regular nail place does not grind my nails like this place, I'm happy with the end result & they are $13 less...lesson learned read more

The good news: You can get an appointment right away. They are fast. Price is about right. The bad news: I felt rushed and cramped the entire time. Salon is small. The guy constantly tried to upsell me. When he decided it was a no-go, he ignored me. I had to have him re-shape my nails, because he was not longer paying attention. The nails were way too thick, I think because he was in a hurry. He was totally done putting on my acrylics in 40 minutes. It's true, you can have good, or you can have fast when it comes to nails. He put me under a dryer, slapped down my bill and I never saw him again. And I was glad. Made the tip easy to figure out!! read more

You ever see those "I went to the worst reviewed place" videos? This is what my experience felt like 110% I wish I could give no stars at all. First immediate red flag- they didn't make me wash my hand upon coming into the building... followed by immediately handing me all the nail swatches with my unwashed hands to touch... two of my nails were ripped off due to long wear which meant one was extra sensitive. I mentioned multiple times it hurt and he didn't have a single care. Next red flag- when he "washed" his brush that he just used for my fill he literally dipped it in I'm assuming alcohol in a random bottle and proceeded to wipe it with his bare fingers before placing back to be used again.. now came my filing and color.. i didn't wanna pay extra for anything special as I was already displeased from my experience up to this point so I went with black.. not only are the lengths inconsistent but the shape is awful.. I wanted stiletto I got some almond and some that are not even shaped like anything. My whole experience was rushed and you can definitely tell. Not to mention he is not even capable of wearing his mask correctly.. didn't have his nose covered at all. We're still in the middle of a freaking pandemic. I ended up paying 63$ which makes zero sense considering what was done and how poorly. Please save your time and money and go to a trusted place. I will start by saying I'm really picky when it comes to pedicures. It's my one splurge and I want it to be good. I was a walk-in so that may have been part of it but my pedicure was super fast. The leg massage lasted about 10 seconds. I would much rather have them tell me they don't have time than to try and give me a quickie to get my money. She did go to town on the bottom of my feet because they are dry but it was almost to the painful point and I would rather them use the cheese grater thing rather than the sponge thing they were using. $30 is bit high when everywhere else is $20-$25. Also the chairs were not all that great. Could barely feel the massage. Will not be back...My search for a good place continues. read more

Top Line Nails is... well... top of the line. =-) A nice, comfy, local shop is very welcoming thanks to Trina who is good at what she does and fun and friendly to boot! A friend and I do monthly pedis and we've tried almost every nail shop in town, finding most of them... uncomfortable. For instance, I really hate it when the techs don't talk to you (or CAN'T talk to you), and sit at your feet talking with their coworkers in a language you cannot understand, or worse, talking on their cell phones the whole time in a language you cannot understand. It's just rude! None of that here! The staff are friendly, seemed to really enjoy and care about their customers, and make you feel welcomed. Options are available, but not pushed, and in addition to mani and pedi services they do waxing to boot. Here is a hones list of the top ten things to know about Top Line Nails. 1. The salon is located in a nice off of the street location that guarantees a lot of parking availability. 2. The salon is a family owned business. The husband and wife team of Han and Trina along with their daughters all work to provide quality nail care. 3. EVERYONE at this salon speaks excellent English so if you read somewhere there is a language barrier dismiss that review. 4. Everyone at this salon knows what they are doing. This equates to quality nail care. The day I visited I noticed a new family member had joined the team. Trina and Han carefully watched her to make sure she knew how to perform services correctly and gave her tips along the way to ensure the customers were satisfied with her work. 5. This salon has customers who have been coming there for 13 years. Yes I said it....13 YEARS. 6. This salon reminded me a lot of the television show Cheers in that they knew so many people who walked through the door. They greeted each customer by name and even managed to remember mine! 7. I had an acrylic fill with regular polish and a pedi with regular polish. I learned more about my nails and feet that day than I have at all of the other salons I have visited combined. I love the shape of my nails (I like them round and short). It takes a bit to get the shape so they compliment my short fingers but they did an amazing job! 8. The salon is CLEAN and COMFORTABLE! 9. The prices are REASONABLE! I always worry when I go to a salon about pricing. I have not been able to find any consistency with pricing and quality of work in Salem. I even visited the much heralded REVEL salon and was sorely disappointed. Fortunately Top Line Nails does such quality work at such FAIR prices I was able to go back to my preferred practice of tipping at 20%. (I believe in tipping for great service) 10.
