First time at this place. I ordered the Solano grilled panini with an Iced Carmel Macchiato. The Turkey and melted cheese with avocado in the panini were delicious but the bread and aioli is what really stood out to me as they were mouth watering and fresh. My gf ordered the cream cheese bagel and she ate the whole thing quick. The only thing that we didn't like about the place was that the coffee was prepared like 15 minutes after we got our food. From my guess they just forgot about them because once we mentioned it they brought it within minutes. Still brought only one drink and I had to remind them about the other drink. But the coffee was good so not really a complaint, especially since the staff was very sorry about it and still made the coffees. Would come back again read more

Oooh yes! Decided to try this place on the way out of town. Been staying in Davis for years around Thanksgiving while visiting family nearby. Couldn't handle another crappy hotel breakfast, so Yelped some local spots and saw this one came highly rated. There was a line outside when we arrived with about 4 people waiting. They only allow a limited number of people inside, so the line can back-up pretty quickly. The woman who helped us said they sometimes have people line up 10-20 deep when they open at 5:30am. Once inside, there is nice decor and art around, and the smell of fresh baked goods. The line moves relatively quickly, but can vary based on how indecisive people get, haha! We had decided on getting a couple savory breakfast items and a couple donuts. FOOD: ~The first item we got was the "breakfast bagel" ($6.50) - Got the #2 (Egg, Bacon and Jack), subbed Cheddar for the Jack cheese and got it on a croissant instead of a bagel -- it was very tasty and fresh. They had packs of Tapatio that I put on some bites for added flavor. The croissant tasted like it was baked that morning and wasn't overly flakey like some can be. ~Also got a "Tot Bowl" ($7.50) - "Bakery fries, bacon, jack cheese, tomato, avocado, sour cream & salsa. Noticed this did not include eggs, so asked to add it on. It was pretty good, definitely good bang for the buck as it was very hearty. They unfortunately forgot the bacon, which makes a big difference in the flavor profile. The tot bowl we saw on the menu had bacon listed, though it was not included on the receipt. The cheese hardened up pretty quickly since it was surrounded by the cold toppings, but still had good flavor. ~Got a Ham & Cheese stuffed croissant ($2.75). Good taste on the ham -- reheated in the toaster over at home to get a nice flakey crunch on it. ~They also have grilled paninis and cold classic sandwiches. DONUTS: Classic - $1.25 each or $13.80 per dozen. Deluxe - $1.45 each or $16.20 per dozen. ~Got 4 total: Chocolate with Oreo, Strawberry with Fruity Pebbles, Maple Old Fashioned, and a Chocolate Bar. They were all REALLY good! They were flavorful, fluffy and doughy. They tasted fresh and the frostings and toppings were all on point! ~They have tons of options, including various cereal and candy bar donuts, apple fritters, and cookies to name a few. DRINKS: ~We did not get drinks from here, as we love Dutch Bros too much and don't have one near home. However, they do have plenty of options such as brewed and iced coffee, cold brew, espresso, teas & more. ~They also have a fountain for sodas, and a drink cooler with canned sodas, juices, water, Gatorade, energy drinks, Jarritos, etc. Overall we really liked this place. Oh. My. Goodness. First of all -- thank you to the gentleman working at the Walmart in Dixon for recommending this place. Currently eating the Solano Panini and sipping on the iced Horchata Latte while I'm on a Zoom training. I was pleasantly surprised at how ginormous the panini was when I unwrapped it. But -- size doesn't always matter, right? How's the taste, you ask? Fantastic. That's all I need to say. And if you are an avocado lover, they are generous with the avocado in this. The panini was a little cold because I had things to do before I could get to it, but if it tastes great cold, I imagine it would be even better when freshly made. I found my new breakfast sandwich. As for the Horchata Latte -- insert heart eyes emoji! It's a perfect balance of cinnamon and coffee. I'm more appreciative of the fact that it's not overwhelmingly sweet nor strong. Stopped at Dutch Bros for coffee on the way up i80. The lovely young lady who took our order recommended Solano when we asked for alternatives for other pastries. What a find! This family owned business has been operating for generations and this place has it all. We loaded up on donuts, pastries, mini quiches, cookies. (Yes we went over board). But the highlight for me was the Deluxe Breakfast Croissant sandwich! I find my family and I have been going there every weekend for something or another. The hot sandwich was not worth the 30min wait just to find out they lost our order. We received no acknowledgment or compensation for their error. We then had to wait another 15min wait to get our food. We would have just asked for a refund from the beginning but there were already 3 other people ahead of us who were looking for a refund...some of which were waiting for over an hour. When they make your order right, I can't say enough good things about Solano Baking. The breakfast sandwiches are always substantial and filling. My partner and I go here every weekend but about 9 times of 10 there is always something missing from our sandwich. Maybe it's our fault for subbing the cheese and adding aioli (both of which are options through the online ordering system)? But, what really stood out was their customer service! I went into Solano Baking Company to order food & brought in my coffee from Dutch Bros from down the street. While waiting for my order, I accidentally spilled my coffee all over the floor. I felt so bad, apologized, & started cleaning up when a worker came out from behind the counter and courteously told me not to worry about it & immediately took care of it. ZOOO WEEE MAMA. The vibe of this place was off the charts. It was like this shop was straight out of Hallmark. So cute and everything was made fresh in the back. I got the deluxe bowl, chocolate croissant, and chocolate cookies. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. The deluxe bowl was so fresh and was steaming hot as soon as I got it. The eggs were a nice well done scrambled and it was a lot of food for the price. The cheese bacon pest and avocado were literally perfect add ons. Amazingly tasty and fresh. The cookies were only $1 for 3 of the big ones which is insane. I got the day old bag of cookies so that's why it was cheaper but they tasted new. It was so good. The cookies were really soft and the chocolate was somehow still gooey after a day. The chocolate croissant was also really gooey on the inside and really flaky on the outside! So amazing. The ambiance of this place was great it was really holidayish and they had a large number of bakery options! The service was also nice as all the employees were really kind.
