Well, I embarked on this place by accident. I'm so glad that I did. What can I say? The food is really delicious. I had a vegan veggie sandwich. They also had a I believe it's a Sacramento veggie sandwich if my mind mine remembers correctly and I got it on a jalapeño bagel. It taste more like a jalapeño bread, but it was good. I ordered a glazed donut. I ordered several cookies. I don't know the names of them and I am so sorry that I did not take a picture of it honestly, I want to taste each thing and I end up eating almost everything within a day so they have a shortbread cookies or some people may say vanilla cookies, but there was one that had like a lemon icing that was so delicious and somehow like the icing for like you know the colors of Easter those are good too, but what really popped like it was literally a party in my mouth was a berry muffin. I came to Solano Baking Co for the first time today. I was helped pretty quickly as there was no line, and customers were already seated and eating. The employee that helped me was very sweet and very patient with answering all of my questions. I bought a peach tart(I believe is the name), which looks like their own version of peach cobbler without ice cream. The bakery is pretty roomy and having seating inside and outside. There's knick knacks on a shelf at the entrance. The case is filled with so many tempting treats. I'm adding this place to my list to come back and try more treats. :) read more

I stopped by today looking for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. I got more than I expected for less than I expected to pay. My breakfast bagel with turkey, egg and jack cheese was very generous, almost more than I could eat at once. With the current inflated price of eggs, I was almost surprised at how large the portion of egg was. Medium coffee brought the total to about $10. The selection here is just amazing. My only complaint is the coffee. Tastes like burnt popcorn. I've tried it 3 times and the Peerless brand is just rough. Especially when you are eating yummy sweets, the super dark, thick, burnt heavy coffee rips away that joyful pleasure and by contrast makes the sweets suddenly taste cloyingly sugary. If possible, I'd recommend offering a lighter roast that is fruity to complement the yummy food. read more

I happened to stumble across this place when I was visiting Dutch bros across the street and decided I needed to stop by one day. I am so happy I did!! Their coffee did not disappoint. I ordered an iced horchata latte which was 5/5. I am still craving it and can't wait to have it again. My bf ordered a hot vanilla latte with an add shot and he liked it and rated it a 3.5/5. The rest of the food was good but not the best I've ever had. We did stop by a little after the morning rush so they were sold out of donuts except for the old fashion that we got. It was okay. The rest of the food was decent also. But I want to try it again and have a donut and see how it is. I will definitely be back for the iced horchata latte! My love affair with pastries continue. The Solano Baking Co is right off Interstate 80 on Pitt School Road exit in Dixon, California. It is in the shopping center with Safeway grocery store. The fella in front of me ordered a Rueben. The menu description of it sounded so good. I have had their breakfast bagel sandwiches before. ~$6.50 . Superb. But I usually go for the baked goods... cookies, doughnuts (cake and glazed), muffins, turnovers, filled croissants, etc. I bought a vanilla cake donut, glazed doughnut, blueberry muffin, almond shortbread cookies, chocolate choco chip cookie, peanut butter cookies, and coconut macadamia cookie. Yum! The cake donut is one of the best I have ever had. They make it right... the interior is not paperweight heavy nor dry dense. No sirreee, it's cake dense fluffy that doesn't fall apart when you bite into it. Ohhh, the world melts away when I bite into a glazed donut. Heavenly. Can't go wrong here. This is a great place to go if you are a Tesla owner that needs to supercharge in the parking lot. Grabbed a half sandwich here on my way home from the discount store. First of all, I love that they had a half sandwich option. I got the cold turkey & jack sandwich, with sourdough instead of wheat bread. It was the biggest half sandwich I've ever seen. Stacked with meat and cheese. It took kind of a while for it to be ready (I think the young lady working wasn't listening when the cook said it was ready) but otherwise the service was lovely. The price was excellent. A half sandwich + bag of chips was the same price as my 16oz matcha latte I bought elsewhere earlier in the day. I'll be back. Saw the rave reviews on Yelp and decided to make a trip to Dixon. I tried the Solano sandwich. It's turkey, jack, avocado, aioli on focaccia bread. I thought it tasted great and the ingredients all work well together. The focaccia bread makes it very easy to bite into. The sandwiches come with a fresh chocolate chip cookie, which was not overwhelmingly sweet which is how I prefer. Also picked up a donut since it was only a dollar something and it was above average. They need to improve food and service! Absolutely dreadful of a business. My husband introduced me to this business years ago. We love stopping here on our way to the Bay Area. It was a little mini morning lunch we would do. They have absolutely ruined the food. The donuts don't taste the same anymore. The staff changed and the last 3 times we came in they make our order incorrect. We came 4/26/24 at 11:45 and they were not that busy and they messed up my simple bagel #3 order. We usually get nice sandwiches but the kitchen has been so slow and incorrect in the ingredients that we will be stopping our visits here.
