First off the first time I call, they lied. It took them forever to answer the phone and then she had the audacity to lie. The second time I called it's a forever again to answer the phone. When I finally got someone on the phone after waiting over two hours for food because I ordered my food at 9:50. It is now 11:25 PM and I still have not received food. When I spoke with the young lady the third time calling she said all your food's been ready he's not here he left. I never seen him again. I said I never had a Guy Dasher. If the order was ready, why can't you just give the order to the lady or just simply say oh I'm sorry your order is ready. Let me give it to her. But instead, you decide to lie be rude to a customer and hang up in my face. This is the worst ever and I'm posting everything. It was always a young lady and she left at this point because you guys have not gave me my food. The first time I called she said oh we're super busy and your food is not ready yet and also we're out of chicken tenders. Well if you was out of chicken tenders, why didn't you tell the Dasher so that she can tell me. She turned around and said oh we're gonna give you boneless wings instead. I don't want boneless wings. I did not order that. So then I called back the third time when she finally answer. It was very rude and nasty to me. Telling me that my order was already ready. May I remind you in a previous conversation I told her I don't want no food that has been sitting there. Please make sure my food is fresh which was my steak. I said because I ordered the steak rare and I want it rare. She came back and told me oh we're super busy. Now I'm calling and calling and calling which I posted the call log to show you guys how many times I called. She got an attitude told me my food was already ready and that I had a Guy Dasher I never had a Guy Dasher ma'am anyways can we please cancel the order? She cop the attitude after I said I never had a Dasher order and that's neither Here nor there. I would like to cancel the order at this time especially if it's just been sitting there and I just spoke with you about that order in that's when she just hung up in my face. I called back about four times and could not get an answer. At this point I would like to speak with a manager and I will not pay for cold food. I can't even cancel the order. Everything I look for when I walk into a restaurant perfectly met my expectations * super clean (I.e tables, floor, bathroom, even kitchen and behind the counter seemed clean from where I sat) *super attentive server (Will definitely ask for Andy every single time I come) He constantly made sure my drink was filled and didn't need anything else. Even watched his interactions with other tables and he had a smile every single time he walked up and even made some cute kids laugh. As soon as we were sat I noticed an ant on the table. One cup of water we were given had some kind of foreign object in it. We waited about an hour and a half for food to come out. When we finally got our food, it also had a couple ants in it. Waited an additional 40 minutes to get our check. Never had any issues at this location until today. I've ordered a couple times off their website through them, first time an item was missing, but it was just a small item so I didn't really worry too much about it, this last time it was a whole meal missing. So I called the number on their website and get put on hold only for it to start ringing again and take me to some snippy old rude man's house phone who told me to tell them to stop putting me on hold because it's gonna keep going to his house and then hung up on me. So I'm not really sure who that is. I'm assuming maybe the owner? Anyway, I finally get through to the restaurant and the lady on the phone refused to refund me for the mail. We stopped (3) for lunch today at noon. There were not many people seated and lots of customers waiting to be seated. We waited nearly an hour for our turn. Once seated it was another 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. We ordered those, onion rings and our meals all at the same time. Drinks and onion rings came back shortly. Waited almost another 45 minutes before our meals came. The one who ordered just 2 pancakes and a fruit bowl had to ask for syrup. I thought they came together. The phone was ringing off the hook and no one answered; not even once. The staff would gather behind the counter and talk. Customers were waited on, but nothing outstanding. Came in early this morning. When we got there there was no one else dining at the time. The gal that sat us was super nice, we asked how her day was going and it was actually the end of her shift! So awesome to be so friendly even at the end of a graveyard shift. Our server was Oscar, he has really great customer service. Service was great, no complaints about that. I come to this location quite often when my parents come to visit me since I live in Davis. The other day, I ordered the Fit Slam and our server asked if I wanted to add Avocado and i said sure, aware that i'd be paying extra for it. When the food arrived, i couldn't eat half the avocado because it was black. Not black as in oxidized, but as in overripe and spoiled. (see attached photo). My husband and I come here EVERYTIME we head in and out of San Francisco. We have always been pleasantly surprised with the service and this time is no different. Marlene was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. She was all by herself with one line cook and there were about 4 tables that all showed up around the time we did. We never saw her sweat. She was very intentional in how she took care of each of our tables. Restaurant was half empty and there were practically more waitstaff than customers on a Sunday night. My party of two was neglected and we sat there like fools for 20 minutes trying to flag down the waitress to take our order, but she was too busy counting her tips out in the open and conversating with the kitchen staff in Spanish. It was so obvious that she didn't want to serve us because we were the only Asians there. Not even a simple "oh I'll be right with you" or "just a second" as a courtesy to acknowledge our presence. There was a Caucasian middle-aged man dining alone behind us and while I was trying to flag the waitress down, she walked right past my table and slammed the male customer's plate down and stated "here's your ranch on the side." Came here to have our Veterans meeting for an event. I would say it looks like all the other Denny's restaurants. And serve their classics on the menu such as All American Slam and French Toast Slam. Today I wanted something sweet so I ordered the Classic Tres Leches pancake and it came with hash brown, eggs, and bacon! It was too good! Dennys in Dixon, CA .....If I could give zero stars, I would. I came in at 10:00pm, as a table of four and stood at the host table for 10 minutes before we saw the server on shift. The first thing she said under her breath was "hopefully you guys have patience". We asked what she meant by that question and she said "I have so many tables and I need to catch up before I can serve you guys." We looked at the restaurant and noticed she had a table of 4 and a table of 5. TWO TABLES. We didn't know how to react so we said "that's okay, can we sit anywhere?" She told us to sit in the area behind the host table and she would be with us shortly. She then hung a CLOSED sign on the door of her 24 hour restaurant. Very interesting. We sat and watched her turn some people away, seat others, eat salad at the salad bar and scroll her phone. a Doordasher came in to pick up their order and she turned them away, explaining "we're closed but I can't stop DoorDash from accepting orders". After 50 minutes, my party decided to just leave. We were chit chatting outside for about 10 minutes and one of the cooks and the server came outside and asked if we're "going to leave or come eat food" with a major attitude. Literally the worst experience ever. Before coming here, make sure you "have patience" and aren't hungry. or even thirsty for some water, because you won't get it. read more

I came with my friends late at night and got some food. The food got blonde hair, aint no one in the restaurant got blonde hair but one of the servers. I was hella hungry so I just ate around the hair, like I should. My husband and I started coming here after an awful experience in vacaville. We have noticed a clean, well run diner in Dixon. The service was great by both Oscar and Vanessa, the food was picture perfect. Hot cooked to perfection. You could tell the staff cares about the guest. I was a host, server, and general manager for Dennys for many years. This is the best run Dennys I've been in all around the country. I did speak to the male manager who cooked our food on our last visit, He was pleasant and professional. Sorry I did not get his name. We will be back. Worth the drive from out of town.
