We came in on a Friday afternoon around 4 pm and tried some of the donuts as a little treat after getting food in the plaza. Plenty of parking in the lot, the place itself was clean, and service was prompt. The lady behind the counter was patient and answered all our questions. In comparison to some chain donut shops, the prices were reasonable. You could tell its a family-owned small business. The donuts themselves were light, fluffy, and delicious. I tried the maple twist, old fashioned, and cake donut. All were delicious. I did come near closing, so not much variety. Get there early. The owner was super nice and engaging. She was telling me there was a line in the morning. I'll have to stop by early to get the good stuff ( French Cruellers and sprinkle donuts. ). The donuts were good, but the owner was super nice. Whenever I want a donut I come here! The staff is always super nice. The donuts are always great. The last time I was here I really wanted a regular glaze donut but they were all out. I wasn't surprised since it was already mid morning. I ended up getting the glaze twist which is yummy. I didn't have cash on me so I paid with my card. They didn't charge me a credit card fee which was awesome since they usually charge. Sometimes they will throw extra donut holes in your bag which is always a nice surprise. Second and last time I will be coming here!! Came here a week ago and an older lady (possibly the owner) had helped me and seemed nice at that time. I only bought 2 donuts that time and it wasn't too busy when I went, it being a week day. When I went for the second time today, the same lady had helped me. This time I had a bigger order. As I was telling her which ones I wanted, I felt like she was rushing me, since more customers started to come in and line grew longer. One of the donuts I asked for was the cake donut, which I didn't know which one it was since it's a donut I was getting for someone. She yelled and asked me which one, since there are 3 flavors. As I was trying to decide which one I felt rushed and she tapped the tongs against the donut pan as if rushing me to make a decision. There's no reason for this disrespect. This place should be called Rude Donuts, not Happy Donuts!!! I'm big on customer service, being that I worked in the restaurant and retail business for many years! I will no longer be coming back. Happy donut is a decent place to have a donut. The customer service is good. Even though, the cashier did not speak English very well she smiled a lot and was very welcoming. I tried their coffee, apple fritter, maple donut and croissant sandwich. You can't really go wrong with a croissant sandwich. It melts in your mouth and not in your hands! I enjoyed their coffee and maple donut. The coffee was extremely flavorful and they used thick, quality coffee cups. However, I was disappointed in the apple fritter which is my favorite donut. It was hard and crispy which made it difficult to eat. Perhaps I got a bad one out of the bunch. Everything else was fine. My coworker went to get us donuts this morning when she got back and opened the box is wasn't what she had ordered. She took out the ones we did order and brought the other back with her to the store to get the right ones. The woman working was nice and apologized for the mix up. HOWEVER...she then took the donuts we brought back an put them back in the case. They were in our possession for at least 30 minutes. How does she just assume nothing happened to them and just put them back in there to sell. This is food we talking about! The owner of this donut shop was the one who waited on me today. I went in because I noticed she served Java City Coffee Drinks, so I ordered a flavored coffee. She proceeded to take my money, then flipped out on me because she had never made what I ordered before-she was over beyond nasty and unprofessional.
