Went here for late night dinner while in Myrtle Beach, it was one of the very very Few spots still open late past 10 pm. The restaurant inside wasn't crowded at all but the outside seating area was full. All dinner options come with either miso soup or a salad. I started with a house salad (8/10, was just okay I would've preferred a caeser salad, but didn't know it was an option) then had the lobster tempura roll (10/10) and the bang bang chicken and shrimp with fried rice and vegetables (10/10, a really big dinner portion)!! I also shared the Hana white peach sake with my sister (8/10, strong but the flavor wasn't very good like I hoped). My total for everything was about $50. I would definitely eat here again, the sushi was very good. My overall rate of experience : 9.5/10

My boyfriend has been to a different location before and said the food is so good so we decided to take our kids here to eat for dinner because I was so hungry. Our waitress was so nice, and very accommodating for a table full of kids. I definitely commend her on her patience even though our kids were very well behaved. (Just so many orders to get through lol). The restaurant itself has like a chill vibe, nothing fancy but can be. I really liked the atmosphere. The menu has SO many options, it was hard for me to choose. I ended up getting shrimp tempura and super crunchy roll. The tempura shrimp was so good, had a nice crunch, shrimp was cooked perfectly. The sweet potato was not cooked all the way through so it was hard but the flavor was still good with the sweet soy sauce. The roll had salmon, shrimp and crab (all my favorites) and was deep fried with bang bang sauce. It was tangy from the sauce, and had a nice crunch from being deep fried. It wasn't fishy at all, and had great flavor. I'd definitely get it again. My daughter had Thai chicken strips (no sauce) with French fries and she said the chicken was good, really good seasoning and crunch throughout and the fries were so good. They tasted fresh, not too hard and perfect salt ratio to the fry. My other babies got ramen which they said the broth was amazing. They described it as flavorful with all the vegetables and very earthy. My bf got so many appetizers vs one big meal and I'm glad he did because the food did not disappoint. The yakitori was amazing. The filet mignon one was so juicy and tender and I loved whatever sauce they marinated it in. The chicken one was okay, it tasted a little overcooked because the chicken was so tough. He ordered fried calamari as well. The breading was good, it was thin layer and the calamari was cut thing but wide so they were pretty big pieces. It was cooked well so not so chewy and paired well with the marinara sauce. We also got salmon bonsai special which was salmon baked with tamago, crab meat and shrimp and omg it was my fav thing of the night. It was mixed in spicy mayo, so it was spicy, fresh, the salmon was cooked perfectly so it melts in your mouth. We had some white peach sake to go with our meal and it is served cold but still really good. It is sweet and you can definitely taste the peach. I gave it a 9/10 and I will definitely go back whenever I'm in Myrtle.

We stopped in on a Saturday night while visiting Myrtle Beach. Service was very friendly and the restaurant had a cool vibe; however, the quality of the food was not good. The chicken meat was low quality and the veggies in the hibachi were from frozen, not fresh. The orange chicken also seemed heavily processed and mostly just breading. It was also very expensive for low-quality and highly-processed food. We will be checking out other options while dining in Myrtle Beach next time.

We had dinner at Soho. It was delicious! Amiya was our server, and she was on point! I didn't get a pic of the Chinese fried rice but it was good too. The sweet tea wasn't all that great, though.

5 stars for SOHO! Our waiter Gage was incredible - attentive, professional, and went above and beyond. He truly made our dining experience unforgettable. Wish we had service this good back home! #vacation #greatservice

Rooftop is beautiful (loud music though so good for evening party vibes) and service was fast and everyone seemed happy to be working there. Gyoza and sushi was delicious.

Cold food. Poor service. Not a sports bar. great ambiance great view Silly concept. Took for ever to get dinner then sending one entree back due to being cold , the plate was hot. People next to us came in after us get there food first. Our server was no where to be found. When I sent the dinner back no manager came to explain or even ask what the problem was. I feel for the poor server that I stuffed for the tip but you deep what you sow. They need to change name to SOBAD, or SOSLOW.

Very big portion servings and fast. The servers were kind and the food was tasty, there were lots of sushi options that I hadn't seen at other places

Hate there are some bad reviews but this place is pretty solid. The food is fresh and we never had a bad food experience. Sometimes the food comes out fast and sometimes it's been slow... but we've never had to wait to be seated. I only got a picture of the sushi roll I ordered. It was delicious!! Other Items I've tried: spring rolls, cheesesteak rolls, hibachi chicken, pepper steak, sesame chicken, grilled salmon, lo Mein, fried rice. All have been good and fresh. Always has leftovers as well as portions are big. The resultant itself is nice and by the looks of others, their cocktails look good too. Rated 4 because the service isn't always perfect but never had a bad time.

This is a place where the locals go for good food, company, at great prices and relaxing atmosphere.... a few of the locals shared this with us while we were there. First the happy hour is 4-8pm, nice! The portions and food was delicious. It is a true sports bar with TVs showing different sporting events, and 2 pool tables, and a dart board as well as a casual seating for large parties and small as well as nice size bar. We got the fried pickles, chicken breast strips with a teriyaki sauce, chicken wings and crab lobster wontons...all were soooo good and ample portions. A great place to visit to just relax or even dance to some good music. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a good meal in a nice atmosphere without all the pretense of a snooty place. The owner as well as the other servers are really nice.

The outside is great for families or for a date night. They have a section where they have an outside bar so you can be by the water. They also have a small stage that I'm sure they have music outside. So we started off with drinks and some appetizers. We had the calamari, street corn dip and the margarita. We had the steak with a side order of shrimp, had the Big chill burger with an extra side the Hawaiian pasta salad and the Big Chill Island salad with chicken. Service was good. The apps were tasty and if you like spicy hot it was good. The steak and shrimp was good and flavorful, the burger was good but not the pasta salad. It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. I always like to give places a second try so we might come back and I will try another dish.

We had a reservation for 6:45 pm and arrived a little after 6:30. Almost everyone in the group went to the bar to wait and was told someone would come for them when the table was ready. I stopped in another store on the way in to the restaurant, so I was a few minutes behind. When I came in, I told the hostess that I'm meeting the rest of my party who is potentially already seated, if she could direct me to where. I gave her the name it was under, and she said they weren't checked in yet. I thought it was strange, but it was almost 6:45 and thought we should still be fine. I texted them to let them know what I was told-they DID check in, so I told the hostess I would wait until the table was ready with her so I could let the rest of my party know. I waited until 7:00 and asked her if we were still waiting for a table or if they were waiting for the rest of my party to come out front and she said she would go check. She came back and said that there still wasn't a table ready and we'd have to wait about 15 more minutes. I joined the rest of my group and went back up front since no one came to get us and asked again. We are now approaching an hour past our reservation and she had seated several other big groups one of which specifically told me they did not have a reservation. I got a little frustrated and let it be known and we were finally seated right about 7:45. If it wasn't for the fact that we had two small children with us that were losing their mind, I would've been fine, even if I was annoyed. When we were finally seated, we were fortunately greeted with a wonderful server, Abby A. I was not overly thrilled with the choices of food on the menu, but we had 6 adults and everyone found something and they were all famished, so I couldn't get many pictures. We ordered the street corn dip (delicious), crab hushpuppies (probably would have been really good had they not been so overcooked/on the verge of burnt) and island fries (I didn't try because 2 of the adults were tearing from the peppers) As for entrees, I settled for the steak skewers, which were well cooked, and tasted OK. I opted to get asparagus instead of the broccolini, but it was WAY overcooked, flavorless, and soggy. I wish I thought to ask for some other than fries because the 2 I tried weren't worth eating. Others ordered chicken peanut mango salad (good), Hawaiian Kalua pork (enjoyed), Capera Island salmon (done well), low country pasta added shrimp (shrimp was cooked nicely), and hamburger kids meal...thinner that McDonald's! She didn't even want to eat the burger "slice". The food was decent, but not nearly good enough for me to ever go back after waiting over an hour our time for a reservation that was made over a week ago without any apologies or even checking in on us. If I hadn't kept checking back, I don't think we would've been seated for a while. I could've spent about $400 somewhere else and had better food and treated with more respect while waiting for our LATE reservation.

Since it was my father's last night in North Myrtle Beach until September I thought it would be a great place to have our last dinner together for a while. I dialed up my app and made a 7PM reservation for three. We pulled in about 6:50 and found a spot right in front of the restaurant...it was going to be a good night. We got inside and chose to sit indoors near the bar. My father likes to see people and I felt this would be a good spot to do this and it was. The restaurant was mid century modern in design, airy and uncluttered...we were seated in a booth - chair combo that was a rendition of that style. We looked at the drink menu and my father went for a glass of Pinot Noir, his friend went for a lemon drop martini and I went for a Heineken 00. The waitress couldn't be nicer and quickly brought us our drinks. The lemon drop was perfect and served in an ice cold steel martini glass while my father was quite happy with his California Pinot. We reviewed the food menu and decided to share two "tables"...the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese dip with home made pork rinds. Within a few minutes, four deviled eggs arrived dressed up with a slice of jalapeño and sprinkled with bacon bits. A large plate of fresh pork rinds with homemade pimento cheese came out simultaneously. The deviled eggs were excellent with just the right texture and not too moist...the bacon bits added another layer of flavor and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick, however, the pork rinds and pimento cheese stole the show. The rinds were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch and the pimento cheese was superb...very flavorful with nice chunks of pimento and grated cheese. My father was diving in on the cheese so fast it was tough to get some. His lady friend also commented on how good it was. Next came the mains. My father settled in the American Waygu Burger with hand cut fries, I went for the lamb rack with string beans and roasted fingerling potatoes and the lady went for the Arugula salad with candied pecans, Granny Smith apples , goat cheese and craisins. My lamb was excellent...medium rare with a nice flavorful crust with a hint of garlic and herbs. The potatoes were well roasted and tasty while the string beans were cooked correctly but a tad bland. The arugula salad was delicious with a nice citrus dressing that played well with the candied pecans and craisins...the smith apples was a nice contrast. My father in the other hand, ate way too much pimento cheese and rinds and as a result just picked in his fries, which were excellent...salted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He ended up taking the burger home. Amazingly, when dessert was brought up he was all in. Although known for their "Butter Cake" we decided to share(and by share I mean my father had about 90% of it) the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake. Turns out it's as good as it sounds...intense chocolate flavor in a very moist cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side...top notch. Sadly, it was getting late and my father had an early plane to catch so we got the bill(more reasonable than I expected), tipped the excellent waitress and said our good nights. We made plans to come back in September...although I'll be back well before that...Bar 19 Twelve will be going on my rotation.

I figured he will like the old clubby atmosphere of Thoroughbreds plus they have great wine and an excellent burger. We got there a few minutes before 4:30 and waited in the car until they opened up. Now I haven't been here in a few years, but it looked exactly the same... bar to the left as you come in, with multiple dining rooms scattered throughout, some with a fireplace some without, all of it projecting private club with a southern flair. It's decorated well. We sidled up to the bar, where we were the first two patrons there and sat at the end. The bartender was attentive and quickly came over with menus and asking for a drink order. I ordered my father a nice glass of Pinot Noir and a seltzer water for myself and then quickly began reading the menu. Thoroughbreds has a happy hour menu that is served at the bar and a more extensive full menu served at the bar and in the dining rooms. I settled on the burger with fries for my father, with no cheese or other accoutrements that is always served on a pretzel bun. It comes with Gruyère cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion...that's the way I usually get it, but my father being 90 is set in his ways. I decided on an appetizer of escargot and the main course of elk chops cooked medium and served with broccolini and mashed potatoes. After a while(and another glass of wine for my father) the escargot came out with some hot bread and infused butter. The escargot was tender and flavorful with hints of garlic and parsley in a rich butter sauce. The bread was a good choice to dip into the plate. A few moments later, my father's burger came out, cooked to perfection with crispy shoestring fries that were moist and tasty in the middle. The happy hour version of the elk chops consisted of two. They were served crusted over the broccolini with a nice moundful of herb infused mashed potatoes. The elk chops were delicious and tender, and the broccolini and potatoes were seasoned to perfection. By the time we were done, the bar was full and people were having a great time eating and drinking. I looked over at my father and I could tell it was time to go so we headed out the door and drove back to our condo in North Myrtle Beach . Overall, I find Thoroughbreds an excellent upscale dining experience with friendly and professional waitstaff in a club like atmosphere that serves great steaks and chops.

I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.
