We enjoyed a meal here for our anniversary on a Saturday evening. It was perfect from the moment we walked in until we left. Service was incredible! Our glasses were constantly filled. I ordered sweet tea and it wasn't quite to my liking--my server offered to fix it and make it perfect sweet tea. It was genuinely sweet! We were impressed with the decor--it felt very cozy and we were delighted by the comfort. For dinner, we started with the escargot appetizer. It was a new dish for both of us but we were happy with it. They also brought some delicious bread with an herbed butter. The bread was wonderful. For our main dish, we did the chateaubriand for two. It was finished table side and was a very cool experience. It came with mushrooms, asparagus. And mashed potatoes. I'm not big on mushrooms but these were incredible! I loved the flavor and the texture was so creamy. My husband loved the mashed potatoes. Dessert was spectacular! We couldn't decide on dessert and our server directed us to the Kentucky Derby Pie. I would come back here for this dessert alone. Chocolate desserts are not my husband's favorite but he absolutely loved it. It's got a bit of everything--chocolate, pecans, caramel, ice cream. The cheesecake was delicious as well. We were too full to eat both so we brought the cheesecake home and shared with our kiddo who declared it amazing.

10/10! My husband and I made reservations for our 5th year wedding anniversary and this place did not disappoint. When we arrived, they had little heart confetti on the table along with a nice little card wishing us a happy anniversary. Our wait staff was absolutely fantastic, continuously wished us a happy anniversary and were extremely attentive and professional. We ordered the table side Caesar salad--the waitress knocked it out of the park and explained what she was doing as she went. It was ALOT of salad for 2 but worth the price and so delicious. We also ordered the table side chateaubriand for two which came with asparagus, sautéed mushrooms and mashed potatoes. I will say--the asparagus was quite large, so it didn't cook much and was very fibrous and tough to chew. However all of the other elements were FANTASTIC. We also ordered the table side bananas foster, which to no surprise was amazing. Overall-I would suggest this establishment to anyone who is interested in an elegant or romantic dinner. The price definitely reflects the quality of food but for an anniversary or birthday, it was perfect. Thank you, Thoroughbreds, for an amazing evening. We will be back.

My family and I booked a reservation for Thanksgiving despite reading previous years reviews. The restaurant itself has charm but some rooms are carpeted with large tables in the middle and it very awkward sitting in the row of tables down the middle. At times, it seems anyone can hear your conversation. As for service, although there was quite the initial wait for the server, he was friendly. I enjoyed the menu offerings and we all had the filet over the turkey. All filets were ordered the same, medium, and they all came out drastically different with some being undercooked and all unevenly cooked. The flavor was also lacking and the green beans were crisp as can be, hardly cooked. We also ordered the desserts to go and were given incorrect desserts. For the price point at this establishment, the quality is not there. We took our food to go and ended up having to doctor and season and finish cooking at home.

Service was excellent. Celebrated my husbands birthday, the restaurant decorated the table, gave a card, and gave a dessert on the house which I thought was super special and cute . My husband got the scallops and was raving about them . I loved their Cesar salad but did not take a picture . We both tried the wagu filet which was so yummy. I would highly recommend this place and will come back again when I'm in the area!

Come with me on a magical birthday experience! First, my boyfriend contacted the restaurant and informed them that it was my birthday so when we arrived, the hostess immediately wished me happy birthday and led us to the most intimate and beautiful setting. Thank You! Next, our waitress Karen came over and wished me happy birthday and provided us with quality service from start to end. Drinks: I no longer wish to drink a lemon drop from anywhere other than this restaurant. This was a freshly squeezed lemon drop and the alcohol balance was perfect! Appetizers: thanks to Yelp, I checked in to dinner and was provided with a free appetizer or dessert. I decided on the appetizer and boy was I pleased with my selection. The dish was called "Angels on Horseback" and to provide context, the dish consisted of "three sea scallops wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon, vegetable puree, bacon-bourbon glaze"- menu description. This dish was SO juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the bacon almost seeped through the scallops, adding a sweet, savory flavor to the dish. It was shareable as the portions were huge so feel free to share with someone special. I rate this a solid 10 forks and a smile! Entree: for my main course I ordered the Pan-Seared Sea bass. Menu description "Purple and golden beet purees, garlic spinach, celery root, baby pear gastrique" This was the BEST sea bass I've had in a while and here is why, the sea bass was perfect! Juicy, well seasoned, topped with a crispy layer and surrounded by complimenting items. The garlic spinach-sautéed to perfection! The celery root, baby pear, and purple and golden beet were all magical! This was the kind of dish that you had to chew slowly and enjoy. It's no surprise here, I rate this dish 10 forks, 10 knives, and a happy tummy smile! Dessert: unexpected but so thoughtful! The restaurant surprised me with a delicious and creamy cheesecake at the end and I fought back tears at this beautiful surprise. Overall, I had a very pleasant birthday dining experience. My compliments to the chef for displaying fine culinary skills and my compliments to Karen and the staff for offering quality services. I'll definitely return.

My Grandparents on their 60th Wedding Anniversary

I normally post good pictures and pictures of the inside and outside of a restaurant. This time I have the beautiful picture of my grandparents celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. I searched for an upscale restaurant and came across this one and great reviews, and I was not disappointed. Neither were my grandparents. I was able to call ahead, make the reservation, leave my credit card on file, and Sonja took care of all the rest. Thank you for providing my grandparents a fantastic place to celebrate their love. They ordered the oyster thoroughbred oysters for their appetizer and the rib eyes for their main course. Thank you again for everything!

The food was amazing, but it was the service that made the experience exceptional! Our server Matt was attentive, helpful with our food and cocktail selection, and just very personable. He along with the food was chef's kiss.

    The oink in my mouth

Wanted a nice experience on our vacation disappointed is an understatement diabolical was our experience. The waiter was great, food awful we ordered two pork chops then got asked how we wanted them cook "um maybe all the way through" received raw pork was not expecting parasites for dinner. Upon receiving our pork we sent them back to be cooked more after taking a bite I could feel the pig oink in my mouth. For a 50 dollar pork chop that wasn't even cooked I could have got a whole pig just for myself and done it wayyyy better! If you're planning to be throughly disappointed while spending over $200 then I recommend going to this terrible restaurant. But if you want brain eating parasites get yourself their pork chops!!

This is a wonderful restaurant with absolutely amazing food. That said it is $100 per person from regular menu. There is a special menu from 4:00 to 6:30 PM that is 3 courses for $60-but you have to ask for it after they show you the actual menu!!!! for this I have given them four stars . On the regular menu 1/2 of a chicken is $40 with no sides other than mashed potatoes. It is GORGEOUS INSIDE AND THE STAFF ARE IMPECCABLE. I HAD MORE PICS but was limited by Yelp.

Ambiance great and the service was excellent. The food however was only fair and didn't seem worth the exorbitant pricing.

The outside is great for families or for a date night. They have a section where they have an outside bar so you can be by the water. They also have a small stage that I'm sure they have music outside. So we started off with drinks and some appetizers. We had the calamari, street corn dip and the margarita. We had the steak with a side order of shrimp, had the Big chill burger with an extra side the Hawaiian pasta salad and the Big Chill Island salad with chicken. Service was good. The apps were tasty and if you like spicy hot it was good. The steak and shrimp was good and flavorful, the burger was good but not the pasta salad. It was not good, that even my daughter didn't like it. As for my Big Chill Island salad was also a disappointment. Not sure what it was but the flavors just didn't go well together. I always like to give places a second try so we might come back and I will try another dish.

The fries looked and tasted like they were heated up after being cooked and sitting. Honestly, something as easy as making french fries. A $30 dish that i did not find to be even mediocre. My group ordered different plates and for the most part, no complaints but no one raved over their meal either. The drinks were good. I had the sangria and enjoyed it. The hula and fire show is good. I think that's all they have going for them. Our server (I forgot to ask his name) was good. He has an enthusiastic personality and a pleasure. Our table was right in front of the stage. I've been to Bar 19 twelve for drinks before and have always been impressed by its modern decor,…read morelighted bar and excellent drink selection handled by professional bartenders. Since it was my father's last night in North Myrtle Beach until September I thought it would be a great place to have our last dinner together for a while. I dialed up my app and made a 7PM reservation for three. We pulled in about 6:50 and found a spot right in front of the restaurant...it was going to be a good night. We got inside and chose to sit indoors near the bar. My father likes to see people and I felt this would be a good spot to do this and it was. The restaurant was mid century modern in design, airy and uncluttered...we were seated in a booth - chair combo that was a rendition of that style. We looked at the drink menu and my father went for a glass of Pinot Noir, his friend went for a lemon drop martini and I went for a Heineken 00. The waitress couldn't be nicer and quickly brought us our drinks. The lemon drop was perfect and served in an ice cold steel martini glass while my father was quite happy with his California Pinot. We reviewed the food menu and decided to share two "tables"...the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese dip with home made pork rinds. Within a few minutes, four deviled eggs arrived dressed up with a slice of jalapeño and sprinkled with bacon bits. A large plate of fresh pork rinds with homemade pimento cheese came out simultaneously. The deviled eggs were excellent with just the right texture and not too moist...the bacon bits added another layer of flavor and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick, however, the pork rinds and pimento cheese stole the show. The rinds were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch and the pimento cheese was superb...very flavorful with nice chunks of pimento and grated cheese. My father was diving in on the cheese so fast it was tough to get some. His lady friend also commented on how good it was. Next came the mains. My father settled in the American Waygu Burger with hand cut fries, I went for the lamb rack with string beans and roasted fingerling potatoes and the lady went for the Arugula salad with candied pecans, Granny Smith apples , goat cheese and craisins. My lamb was excellent...medium rare with a nice flavorful crust with a hint of garlic and herbs. The potatoes were well roasted and tasty while the string beans were cooked correctly but a tad bland. The arugula salad was delicious with a nice citrus dressing that played well with the candied pecans and craisins...the smith apples was a nice contrast. My father in the other hand, ate way too much pimento cheese and rinds and as a result just picked in his fries, which were excellent...salted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He ended up taking the burger home. Amazingly, when dessert was brought up he was all in. Although known for their "Butter Cake" we decided to share(and by share I mean my father had about 90% of it) the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake. Turns out it's as good as it sounds...intense chocolate flavor in a very moist cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side...top notch. Sadly, it was getting late and my father had an early plane to catch so we got the bill(more reasonable than I expected), tipped the excellent waitress and said our good nights. We made plans to come back in September...although I'll be back well before that...Bar 19 Twelve will be going on my rotation.
