Food had no flavor at all. Split the shrimp Florentine with a friend. ZERO flavor. Was like ramen without the flavor packet. The vegetables were so overcooked, like cafeteria food. Absolutely disgusting for over $45 (included the $9 additional salad/veggies). Do not waste your money here. Blue Drum is so much better if you are spending this kind of money on a meal. Our server was somewhat inexperienced. Needs some coaching. Told us we would get potatoes with that $9 split but was not true with a pasta dish. The view was decent. The windows dirty with spiderwebs and poop on the windows. They should clean these windows weekly to enhance the ambiance. This place says old and worn out. Would not come back.

Went here for the 1st time on Wednesday September 3rd 2025 with my mom, aunt and a friend. We came here because we heard of their happy hour items, and decided to try it. Although we just tried the drinks, Happy hour wasn't all that busy and they have more italian fare food for their happy hour like meatball sliders, as well as lots of fish. Anyways, we entered the restaurant and my aunt and friend was already there. We just ordered a happy hour drink. I had the southbound greyhound drink with grapefruit vodka- which was good! My mom had the lemon drop martini. My only feedback is that the bartender didn't check my ID to ensure that i was indeed 21+, or whatever the drinking age is here. She did however, make sure to check on us, and was good at that. We left after finishing the drinks, and my aunt paid with cash, with tip as well. Perhaps we will be back another time!

What a wonderful restaurant this is! Everything here is fantastic! Great service, they seated us in a nice location right at the window overlooking the water. Great server- Lacey was extremely personable and made us feel like we were her only table. Food was beyond fantastic! We both had steaks, mine came with crab cakes and they were perfect. Drinks were not watered down and delicious! Can't wait to come back.

Always try to eat here when in town. Beautiful setting. Nice bar. View on the water/pond. Great service and fantastic food. Nice basket of blueberry muffins and cheese bread to try while pondering the menu. Yummy oysters Rockefeller. We all had veal Neptune which was absolutely delicious. Lightly breaded veal, Hollandaise sauce with scallops, shrimp, and crab meat. Lots of places to eat at the a beach. Got to try this family owned local place. Always good.

Beautiful setting, very welcoming. Spacious dining rooms. And a guest alligator. We had a party of eight and they sat us as soon as we arrived for our 6:30 reservation. The hostess seemed excited to have us and made us feel special. Our waitress, Bryce, did a great job and was very attentive. Everyone's meal were perfectly presented and all were happy. I have to give a special shout out for my pork Marsala. Might be the best sauce I have ever eaten. Really. I'll go back just for that. Side salads were plenty big and fresh. Cheddar biscuits and blueberry muffins by the basketful. Just be aware that you must be able to navigate steps to the dining room or back to the restrooms.

The atmosphere is exactly what a beach seafood spot should be--laid-back, welcoming, and full of local charm. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the portions were generous, and everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. The oysters, shrimp, and crab legs were outstanding. What really sets Bimini's apart is the service. Even when they're busy, the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. You can tell why this place has been a Myrtle Beach favorite for decades. If you're looking for fresh seafood, cold drinks, great service, and a true local beach vibe, Bimini's is a must-visit. Easily one of the best dining experiences we've had on the Grand Strand.

We ordered the shellfish sampler 4 oysters, 4 clams, 4 mussels and every single one was dry and completely flavorless. No brine, no sweetness, nothing that makes fresh shellfish worth eating. And the butter served alongside? Movie theater butter. That's the only way I can describe it. The service was forgettable at best. North Myrtle Beach deserves better seafood than this, and honestly, so do the tourists who come here specifically for it. We won't be back.

Nick is an absolute legend!…read more We came to Portofino not knowing what to expect, and we left completely blown away -- and honestly, a huge part of that was our waiter, Nick. This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!

We looked at the reviews first on Yelp, and they were pretty mixed, but we hoped for the best. On arrival we were greeted at the door and were seated promptly. We arrived at around 4:30 pm, and the place wasn't that full, but everything smelled pretty good. Too bad good smells doesn't equate to good food... Most of the food we ate wasn't very good. The sausage I tried was mealy, and couldn't get past the first bite. The fried shrimp were popcorn sized, and soggy? I didn't even try the snow crab because they looked very small, and were swimming in an unknown liquid. The "ribeye" steak was cut razor thin, and was cooked well beyond well done. At least the prime rib was medium rare, but didn't have much flavor. The best things I ate consisted of the pretty good gumbo, crispy Brussel sprouts, and fresh cucumbers. The bbq ribs weren't too bad either. The wife and daughter had the same opinion of the food. I'll mark this experience as a skip if you are in the North Myrtle Beach area. Especially when two adult meals and a child priced meal (with three drinks) comes to a total of $160.00 with tip. Yikes.
