New to the area and was looking for real Mexican food not Tex Mex. Ms Sofy is so sweet and friendly. I really only try to go when she is there because she give good size portions that you pay for. We have gone a few times when her son is there and the portion size was not even close to what I was normally getting when we went when she was there. We also always get a side of rice and a side of beans with whatever else were eating. I always buy five dollars worth of each. When he gets it for us it should be worth two dollars. That is the main thing that really annoys me that he should really be learning from his mom on their portion sizes. Otherwise the food is good it's fresh made. It's nice to sit out there on her under covered seating area. If it wasn't for her I don't think they would have that much business. If you want Mexican food this is a place to go. If you can get the right portion size definitely buying five dollars of each is well worth it her rice and beans are delicious read more

I was craving a yummy authentic Mexican breakfast and this place popped up. I saw other good reviews and decided to go give it a try. I ordered 6 loaded breakfast tacos to go for myself and friends. The total came out to only $15 and 2 tacos each was plenty and filling. My first bite with the amazing green salsa and i was amazed. These are the best breakfast tacos i have ever had. The loaded breakfast tacos come with eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese, and refried beans on a homemade flour tortilla. Literally the most amazing breakfast tacos, cheap, and fast service. I waited about 10 mins if that. You MUST try this place if you are looking for some good breakfast tacos for breakfast. Only served till 11am so get up their early. Must pour the green salsa on it I didn't stay and eat there but there is a nice setup to enjoy your meal with tables and a canopy to sit outside. I will be coming back to try lunch. read more

My fiancé attempted to order breakfast tacos and unbeknownst to us they do cash only. As he proceeded to leave a women working in the back called for him to come back. Stating the tacos are so good here he will most certainly be back. So pay next time. He couldn't believe the nice gesture, kindness not seen to often these days. The tacos here are really good but the customer service kinda stinks! We have visited a few times and each time we gave the guy answering the phone the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was just having a busy/rough morning...but it seems as though he's just rude. He talks to us like we are a big inconvenience, even though both my husband and I are super polite people (no matter what). We like the food but just won't be back bc we can get similar quality food at one of the nearby taquerias and be treated with common courtesy and as though our business is welcome. Delicious! Off the beaten path, and definitely better than the chain restaurants on the freeway. I'm picky with chorizo and their's was solid. The tortillas though - fresh, warm, thick and yummy! I tried Sofy's after seeing it a few times on Yelp, and was blown away! Everything is perfectly tasty without being over-seasoned, and even better, extremely fresh. It is clear that everything is made from scratch. The meats were so flavorful, the flour and corn tortillas both perfect, and the rice and beans some of the best I've ever had. The owner is so kind! She seems to be very passionate about her cooking. Went for breakfast tacos and boy are those things HUGE and they are good! Made to order, with full strips of bacon, plenty of eggs, beans and cheese. Two tacos will fill even the biggest appetites! Their Aguas Frescas are so refreshing. I definitely recommend the strawberry horchata. Even though I went on a steamy summer morning, it has covered seating, so it's bearable to eat in the Texas heat. The only thing I wish would change is the placement of the dumpster. You can smell the garbage when the wind blows. Otherwise, this may be my go-to for tacos! read more

Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic. The cashier a bad attitude was touching food with his bare hands and wiping them on his apron. Paid for my food like an idiot because I didn't want to be rude. There was a piece of meat hanging out of the cup of my menudo, the cashier opens the container and PUTS THE MEAT INTO THE MENUDO WITH HIS FINGERS. My boyfriend and I needed a quick breakfast stop. Finding Sofy's Taqueria on yelp was the best thing ever. We were immediately attracted to her fresh fruit drinks, the little dine in set up, and her handwritten poster board menu. It took me forever to order because of all the yummy options, and I was distracted by her homemade stack of flour TORTILLAS that she was making! Sofy (the owner and cook) was super sweet, friendly and funny. She took so much pride in her food, and that she should have. It was delicious. If I could give a zero star I would. I came to this place Wednesday with the hope of finally finding good tacos. I read all the reviews and decided to give a chance but I wish I would've stayed home instead. To start the fajitas were so watery and plain ( like if it was boiled ) that it destroyed the tortilla it was wrapped in. The gordita shell was precooked (not fresh) and then reheated and served to me. The rice was undercooked and some pieces were straight up hard. It was around 345 in the afternoon and it was a young man cooking. I guess there breakfast must be what everyone says is good. I definitely would not recommend this place. Sofy is so sweet and the food is delicious. They make their own flour tortillas! The barbacoa was flavorful and not dry. Al Pastor was a little too salty but still great. They have a good salsa verde with just the right amount of heat. Their breakfast taco menu has about every combination possible and my girlfriend said they were delicious. read more

First time coming here and was craving for tacos and torta. I saw the high reviews and thought because it's close by that I should try it out. It's a food truck with some tables and chairs that's covered from this crazy sun. Great selection on the menu but we already know what we like. Ordered flour pastor, flour fajita tacos and pastor torta. Fajita meat was tougher than other places and very bland. The pastor meat was a bit more flavorful but tbh we had better down the street from other places. The green hot sauce helped somewhat to save the meal. Maybe I went on a bad day and will make a follow up review in probably a few weeks. I noticed you order and have to wait until the food is ready to pay for it. I guess next time I should ask if I can pay for the food right after paying. When my food was ready and time for me to pay there was a line of 5 people (some needing to pay and some needing to order). In my opinion it's just a bit chaos. read more
