Their horchata was also delicious and perfectly made. The customer service was great, the food came out quickly, and everything was freshly made. I definitely recommend this place and will absolutely be back for more!

This is one that I drive by all of the time, but usually on Sunday's when they are closed. So I made sure to prioritize this taco crawl on a Saturday. I ordered a beef, chorizo and carnitas. All were a solid 3 to 4-stars. To be honest, it was my least favorite spot of the day, but certainly not bad - the other two were just really great. I also rounded up because they had some other appealing menu options that I probably would have liked even better, but I didn't have the belly space for on account of the other tacos in there.

Asked for one of those thimble sized containers for salsa and the cashier said it actually doesn't come with salsa. Dang. First time I've been denied salsa at a Mexican restaurant. That's like a Chinese store denying someone soy sauce. He said they sell salsa. But when I saw it it's like a full jar. I just wanted some for my chips. Nuts. But in all fairness when he saw the consternation on my face he gave me a couple of the thimble containers. I mean I would've eaten them dry still. America is just coming to the brink of despair. Soon McDonald's gonna be charging for ketchup is my guess.

The place is small so to-go is good and they have lots of to-go family meal options too. The staff was good but the cashier was a bit slow at taking orders with some customers. I ordered: - Carnitas taco on corn - very good - shredded chicken on corn - highly recommend! Of you ever had pazole it tastes like your chicken in drenched in the broth, yum! - queso blanco - not impressed but it was ok. Chips are delicious so recommend some to-go or with salsa. - Mexican coke - the real stuff too! They have a fridge of salsas to grab for your table. I liked them all so it's your preference. The tacos are big portions why they gave me two tortillas. I basically made two tacos out of one order. Awesome deal for $3.25 a taco! I want to try carne asado which I feel will be worth the $1 up-charge. And try the nopales to see how they make theirs. Only complaint I have is the menu. You can't see it until you are close in line. I want a menu I can view while in line waiting. This way the line runs faster. Lastly the menu transitions are distracting when trying to read the menu. I say turn off the transitions, they are more frustrating than a cool feature. I will be back.

This place has become my most recent go-to when that little voice says - "pssst....Dave....Dave....i know you hear me....you want fajitas." Admittedly, I hear that voice a lot. In any case, I usually order the fajitas. They give you a decent quantity that tastes great. The meet is tender and flavorful and those tortillas had me at hello. I love this stuff! My son elects to go for the cheese enchiladas. I don't have to ask him how much he likes them because is a super picky eater and this is the one place where he actually cleans his plate. The margaritas are solid as well and when you glance around the restaurant, you'll see them on most tables. This place is a well oiled machine. There are plenty of staff and they all work unison to bring drinks / chips / salsa / refills / orders / food -- and that food usually comes out before I can feel guilty for eating chips, salsa, and queso. I found this trick that works for me. Since I 100% of the time feel guilty for leaving the place feeling so full, I started parking on the other end of the parking lot. This allows my to burn off 2.7 calories of the food that just ate so I feel 2.7 percent less guilty. On a serious note - this place is the real deal. While some of my previous favorites have either closed down or gone downhill a bit - Julio's has remained strong. ¡Salud!

We got a chicken quesadilla grande, a fajita taco on corn, a barbacoa taco on flour, an elote, and a jamaica agua fresca to finish it off. The tacos were excellent, each good in their own way. The fajita meat was diced small and cooked until caramelized, which makes for a great bite. I like fajita tacos that way. The barbacoa taco was great also, nice and tender and full of flavor. The green salsa tasted homemade and had a nice slow burn. The chicken quesadilla was different from what you would find at other restaurants. They use white Mexican cheese instead of mozzarella like a lot of places. For me it had good flavor but ate somewhat dry. The elote was a real standout for me. Plenty of parmesan, butter and white cheese. They gave me the chili topping on the side, which is great for me because I can't handle a lot of heat. I was able to mix in just what I wanted and it tasted great. I finished a big cup. The jamaica agua fresca was a good representation, and a generous 32 oz serving so you really have to share it or save some for later. The front of the venue is nice, with pretty decorations and all, but there's a surprise around back--a beautiful dining area under a spreading oak tree. When I was there it was decorated for Halloween/Day of the Dead. They rent it out for parties. This place was worth the wait and I can recommend it.

The sauces are also on the side for you to fill into cups or add directly onto the tacos if you're dining in. It took a bit longer than I expected for the order too. I did like the horchata (but can you really mess that up?). The flavor of the meat was average and the cook was also average. I know some people rave about this spot, but it's a pass for me. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, unless it was super late and the only taco spot open that the time. I'm not sure how busy it gets late night weekends, as it was pretty empty around 11pm on a Saturday when I was there. There were plenty of tables to sit down at and eat. It seemed like a chill casual spot.
