Kalbi jhim

I haven't been here in so long! I had the Kimchi Jungol + Fried Dumplings + Kalbi gim It was super fresh and delicious! I appreciate the Kimchi Gim because it wasn't spicy at all. Although you can request it spicy, I preferred it the way it was. The Kimchi Gim was so good that I took the rest home and ate it for breakfast and dinner again. Their portions are huge! The galbi gim was super delicious! The meat was tender and braised in an amazing sauce, I appreciated the amount of garlic inside, it was like infused with the marinade. I highly recommend trying this place!

We came here with my picky future-father-in-law and he was not disappointed (for once) with his order content. Things you should know: I. PARKING Sodeulnyuk is within a plaza and shares a massive parking lot with the adjacent businesses. Parking is free and simple. II. SERVICE Very hands-off, like your typical Korean restaurant. However, our banchan got filled on more than one occasion without us asking. That was nice! I was surprised to see a review about the service being discriminative against people who aren't Korean. I didn't experience that as a Caucasian here. III. QUALITY Get the 알팅 (Al Tang)! They pack it with hefty meat and not stingy filler ingredients like cheap vegetables and overflowing amounts of broth! 아빠 usually complains about this detail in America ~ but not with this dish! IV. CAPACITY Fair amount of available seating for a Saturday at noon. Give them some love. The ladies are sweet and work hard here.

I loved the side dishes! The galbi tang was warming and delicious. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing as well! Recommend this place!

Plenty of parking by the restaurant as it is in a medium sized plaza. Right next to Suwanee Hmart. The restaurant is pretty spacious, there are dining areas in the middle and also more private rooms/booth on each side. You can order KBBQ or individual dishes. For KBBQ, you have the option to do a combo or unlimited. There are two types of unlimited depending on what kind of meats your prefer. There is a time limit of how long you can eat for unlimited. If you are in a group, if one person wants unlimited, then everyone at the table has to get unlimited too. We were seated in a semi private room. The fans are super loud. I appreciate the fact that it sucker up the smoke but with little ones it took a bit for them to get used to the noise. There seems to be a bit of confusion when we were first ordering and it took quite some time to get our drinks and side dishes. Although I wanted to start with the pork belly, the waitress brought an array of all the meats instead. Which was fine, just never had that before for unlimited. You can also request the bean paste soup. It was slightly spicy but paired well with the meats. It did take a while to arrive though. Meat quality was okay. I just feel like there are other alternative places that have better selection/service.

Bulgogi with Mul Naeng Myun Combo (bottom), banchan middle and Galbi with Bibim Naeng Myun Combo (top)

Sodeulnyuk is one of my go to spots to battle the hot and humid summers. There's something awesome about having chilled noodle soup (neng myun) paired with Galbi or Bulgogi to beat the heat. The chilled noodle soup (mul neng myun) here is solid, flavorful, chewy noodles awaiting to be slurped and devoured. The cold broth washes away the weary sun soaked body and leaves you feeling refreshed. There spicy mixed cold noodle (bibim neng myun) is good too if you are craving something sweet and spicy. My favorite pairing is with Galbi or Bulgogi, the savory meat is the perfect combo with the cold noodles and the contrast of temperatures is pleasing. Overall - if you're looking for a way to stay cool this summer, look no further than Sodeulnyuk. The service is a bit lacking, they are definitely short staffed but the food makes up for it.

Don't sleep on Lucky 7 KBBQ! Their bbq, soup and sides are absolutely perfect 100%. Great service and great atmosphere to grub.

I had high hopes for this place because it always smells so good when we drive by, but it was a complete waste of money. There was no one there. We were the only table, so you would think service would be excellent, but that was not the case. The lady was very nice but she very much kept rushing us. She kept asking are we ready to order and then just standing there staring at us. But after we ordered, she was busy setting up her table of food to eat instead of bringing us banchan. After the food came out, we never saw her again. I had to walk back towards the kitchen and get her attention to ask for a bag and the check. The bento box had french fries, olives, and a sweet pasta salad which seems a little odd for a Korean place. If I wanted french fries & pasta, I would've gone to an American restaurant. The bulgogi had no flavor. We had to take it home and recook it with some seasoning. The place was nice, big & clean but I can't say I'd go back.

Charges my card multiple times at the end of the meal. First time they overcharged and didn't give me an itemized. BE CAREFUL

Came here for dinner with my wife. First time here and we let the server knew that so she can explain the menu since a lot of it was written only in Korean. A little language barrier , but our server was endearing and tried to explained best she could. Also let her know that my wife was diabetic and she couldn't have a lot of the sauce so we wanted to have only meats without sauce. They said ok. Great, ordered the all you can eat. This is where the trouble started . Even with all you can eat, they refuse to let you order the first round. Ok... odd... but ok sure. First round was interesting, they brought out pork beef and shrimp and tossed it all on the grill all at once... again odd, but they "separated" the meats lol. After this they brought us all meats that were heavily marinated in very sweet soy sauce. Must be a mistake I thought , I asked her about It and reminded her that my must has a medical condition that Didn't allow her to eat such high sugar food. Our server didn't quite understand so she grabbed another person to translate. The second sever just said it's house rules and we must eat the first round as is without modifications. At this point I'm not sure if I find this hilarious or aggravating. Rest of the meal was a comedic interaction between the server and us. Multiple wrong items and delays. The quality of the meats here is a above average. The side dishes are bland though. The price is about 31 per person for all you can eat, so it's on the higher end of KBBQ. Our experience as a non Korean was probably not as good due to the lack in ability to communicate. Overall poor service and experience, wouldn't recommend. Lost 1 star mixing meats Lost 1 star for not being accommodating for Lost 2 star for really bad service

Galbi bento box

To be honest, it wasn't very busy for a weekend night. But we were greeted and sat down promptly. Me and my 2 friends got the galbi bento box which they now serve all day. The banchan (side dishes) were delicious, especially the cucumbers which were super crunchy and fresh. The hostess and server were very sweet and all the food was pretty good. They are trying their best and it was a very pleasant experience.

This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

Otherwise you'll end up in the gas station. First of all, this place is HUGE compared to the other locations. Super clean, new furniture, it's just pleasant to be there. Really generous with the banchan. I love the banchan there, it's 4 different kinds but all of them complement the food you eat. I was on a tear last night. Ordered the teokbokki as an appetizer. Then went with the soondubu ramen combination with beef bulgogi. First of all, the ramen is definitely a big portion, combined with the tofu it's a lot. Medium spicy is good enough unless you like sounding like you're a recovering drug addict. My goodness. I took the ramen noodles out so I could make sure I had broth left. Ate very slowly because the picked radishes were so good and the kimchi cucumbers were also killer. The teokbokki was tasty, but nothing special. Price is good, sharing is fine. But in the future I love the combo idea because you get a small skillet of beef, onions, and peppers. Sweet and savory, paired with the ramen soondubu it's a LOT. We took the rice cakes home. I can't speak any higher about the cleanliness and service here. They all pitch in, and I wonder if they knew I was going to write something because I took so many pics. Either way I believe this is the best place for tofu stew in the OTP area. Support small businesses! I'll be back!
