I was downsizing and needed a place to store my possessions, and sort through them to decide what I needed until I moved. At 58 the process was stressful and I was not sure where to go. A friend recommended SoCal Self Storage and said speak directly to Amber. That they had worked with her in the past and that she made the process easy. My possessions were extremely important to me due to the memories they contained. As soon as I walked into the office I asked for Amber. Immediately I was impressed by her positive attitude, courtesy, professionalism and eagerness to assist. She put me immediately at ease when I explained to her why I was there and she told me not to worry about a thing, she would handle everything for me. She searched the database and found a unit that would not only allow me to store my items but have a little room to sort through them to decide which items to take with me. When she showed me the unit, I was very impressed about how clean it was! I knew immediately that I had made the right decision in choosing SoCal due to the excellent customer service that Amber provided. In fact she was there for me from start to finish! Always checking on me to make sure that I was happy with the unit and if I needed anything more, she not only provided excellent Customer service, she was a source of support in what could have been a very difficult time. Her smile, positive attitude, attentiveness and attention to detail made it easier for me to make my transition. We have had our storage unit for 2.5 years, which is longer than we expected. We have been very happy with the service from Zoyla and Brenton. When we stop in to pay our rent, we are greeted with smiles and we are usually offered water, and their bathroom is very clean. We have had peace of mind knowing that our equipment, boxes, and miscellaneous items have been safe at this facility. Access has been simple using a code, and the building has always been clean, well lit, and well maintained, no bugs or critters to see here. Again, the unit has been fantastic, so safe because of the metal sheeting enclosures instead of the drywall (like other storage facilities), security cameras, and roll-up doors. There are no electrical outlets which is good because people are not working/loitering in their units. We used our own locks, and we didn't have to pay for insurance because we have renters insurance. We have finally made room at home for our things and hope to move out this month. The facility has a very large Truck with a ramp that they loan out to people moving in, but since we didn't use it moving in, we hope to use it to move our things out. If we feel we need to have a smaller storage unit, we will come back to SoCal Self Storage. No complaints here. read more

Excellent customer service!!!! Ms Zoyla Estrada was so patient, professional, and helpful in answering my questions and concerns regarding storage rental; Ms Estrada took time to explain every detail and helped me to be comfortable and very content with my storage selection. She assisted me with how to pack and make my move as stress free as possible. She also helped me to secure movers and how to time and coordinate my move. I am going through a difficult time due to a family member ill and having to get her medical care in the hospital as well as getting sad news of the death of a family member all while trying to move and pack and store my hospitalize relative's apartment contents while out of town in LA. And she even took the time to help me locate and schedule a flight from LA to the funeral. Ms Estrada went well beyond the call of duty in customer service. Her compassion speaks volumes. Her company and leadership should be proud and she gave me a tour of the facility before I committed and it is so clean and pleasant and secure. Torrance self- storage stands alone in the service they give their clients. Our son was leaving to the Army from Los Angeles and we were living out of state. He was not allowed to take his personal belongings until he was assigned a permanent unit. We had no one that could release his belongings to the Army movers when the time came for shipment. To our amazement, Torrance staff said they would only be too happy to be our representative, coordinate with the movers, open the storage bin, and personally notify me that everything was accomplished, with no additional charge. They said it is a service they are happy to do, especially for those clients serving their country. When the time came, we gave Torrance self -storage permission to enter the bin and they took care of the rest in an exceptional manner. Soon our son will deploy to Afghanistan and is thrilled that his belongings are with him now. It truly is as "Good as it Gets" ! read more

This place was wonderful while Kathy ran it for the 15 years she was here. She was always pleasant and very friendly. I am sad that they transfered her. The girl that took her place is blah and not very helpful. You might as well stick a clown in the office you might get more answers from it then you would her. Now that Kathy is gone I will no longer store my stuff here and wouldn't suggest anyone else too. I've never had problems until they replaced her. Sad to see Kathy go but as she goes I will also go with my business. You can't find generous and helpful friendly anymore and when you do there few and far in between. Kathy was amazing and I would follow her where ever she goes with my stuff. She was quality you can't find anymore. As for this new girl I have very few words for her. She's not very bright my daughter is friendlier then her. I will never again step foot in this location. read more

This storage facility is very clean. It has great prices. The staff is wonderful... I highly recommend speaking to Cathie, Raphael, and Travis. These people are very helpful and work very hard to make sure I'm completely satisfied. They immediately made me feel comfortable with storing my products here. Also there is plenty of parking available. I want to let you readers know that I'm a very paranoid/cautious person. In fact I actually called the Torrance Police Department and did my own research on this facility before I signed any paperwork. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there had NOT been any thefts or any kind of police reports made the entire time this facility has been operational! SoCal Self Storage was as pleasurable experience as possible. Ive had several storage units in Cali and several in Florida and I felt more satisfied and welcomed here more than all the others. The rates were comparable or better than all the similar facilities in the area. And to top if off the professionalism from Amber (account manager) on the phone and also in the office was "bar none." I completely felt the customer first mentality from her at all times and left with a smile on my face. I have been a customer at this facility for many years, I do not regret my choice of storing here. The building is always clean and very well maintained, customer service is the BEST they always go above and beyond for customers. All the storage units are on the first floor, it's so bright and clean. I feel safe sending my kids and wife to pick up items on their own... did I forget to mention the units have door alarms. My experiences with SoCal Storage were great ! Used plural because I used this facility twice. My first experience was great when I dealt with Kathy and that's why when I need storage place again, I did not hesitate and came right back to SoCal. My second experience was wonderful because I met with Kathy again and another nice lady, Amber. The facility is clean and the lightings are perfect. Even though they were not the cheapest, the facility was the nicest and the lady Ms. Z (I can't spell her name) was nice, professional and willing to discuss the best way and cost to rent multiple units beyond 6 months. I have had a storage unit here for several years. It is much better than the place I formerly used! One of the best things about this facility is that same employees have been there since I moved in. At the place I was before, they seemed to have an almost monthly turn over. The people here are friendly and helpful. And its always clean. I highly recommend this place. read more

These location it's very dishonest and very greedy company whatever the money you pay not for enough still they charge $12 for insurance without telling the customer and took an advantage people situation I will take small claim court to sue them violation of the customer protection act read more
