Summary of My StorQuest Experience - Been at this facility since 2017 - Older facility and place does smell like it - Manager and staff are very friendly and helpful - Never had a break in with my unit - During access hours, no code is necessary to enter elevator or property - Security cameras watch/record everyone entering the property - Carts are always available in the "lobby" area outside the elevators, which isn't true at other locations - Unit could be better lit but i never felt unsafe in there by myself - Extended access hours are available, if needed - No climate control - Used DampRid to control humidity and smell inside my unit and that seems to work read more

Be aware that they will increase your rent more than 100% shortly, and when you give notice to move out, they don't provide any kind of acknowledgment on paper or email, that you actually gave required notice of moving out. They are saying that I have to trust them. I spoke to multiple persons over the phone and in person. Never got any help. Possibly a scam!!! read more

I've had a storage unit storage here for about 2 years so far. Gilbert is awesome, I constantly have fedex packages delivered here and he will immediately let me know when they've been delivered. The facility is clean and well kept as well. read more

My unit was broken into and my stuff was stolen. They had previously cut my lock and put their own on. It had to be an inside job. I filed a police report and pressed charges. read more

I have found the best value here to rent a unit. I moved from public storage a couple of months ago as they were increasing the rent prices and have no regrets thus far. I really recommend this place. I want to thank the manager Leslie she was able to get me the best deal after looking through variours storage units in the south bay area. When you walk into this unit you can smell mold! We stored furniture here and it became covered severely covered with white mold. A leather sofa a dining room table, a hutch chair. When I spoke to the representative at the desk they simply said we have nothing to do with mold and there's no way we can help you out. That is exactly what they did NOHING!!! read more

Was super disappointed when I visited. This place smells terrible. The unit they showed me was very dark and a piece of the ceiling was missing. It appeared to be water damage. I asked if they were going to fix it and was told no. I ended up renting at A1 Storage down the street. It's a bit pricier, but VERY clean, secure and NO weird smells. They also have floor plans as you exit the elevator and the carts are always back where they belong. read more

Let's just say wow ! I've had a few storages in my life but this one by far has been such a pleasant experience . Not only was the manager Chris awesome but very helpful . Given all that's going on now a days he helped me to get into something that was spacious but reasonably priced . The storages are well maintained and easily accessible . I think cleanliness and location is priority one for a storage facility. Last thing you want is a strorage facility located in a sketchy area. Located on Earl St, in an upscale area no issues here. Friendly service, honoring the online price without any frills, check. This facility is pretty affordable, cheaper than Public Storage. The entrance and parking lot is huge and convenient. No need to memorize the code, during access time an attendant is always available. Two elevators, upper floor is only the second floor. This is an older facility so it is not climate controlled (can be really cold or hot). Lights inside has to be manually turned on, no motion sensors. The inside maze is well organized following Torrance area streets everyone is familiar with. It is also clean, doesn't smell bad and interior isn't too shabby. This is a nice place, no qualms. read more

I haven't dealt with all that many storage places, but this one is great! Walter is often on site. He, in particular, is the best! All the people I've dealt with on site have been good as well. The facility is clean, air conditioned, well lit, has well maintained bathrooms. You need to check for yourself if their hours and prices work for you, but if so, you can't do better. Pros: Convenient location & parking, reasonable rates (I paid $1 for the first month's rent), courteous staff, clean facility, carts & dollys available, they offer moving supplies for sale, is fumigated regularly, they have flexible payment options, and are open 7 days/week. Cons: Unfortunately they have no floor plan of the building available, and my directionally-challenged self has a tendency to get lost on the way back to the elevator, but I'm workin' on it. read more

I went to StorQuest and I must say......I want to make sure that the individual by the name WALT deserves a shout out on behalf of his outstanding & impressive customer service skills. Im not one for taking time out for these reviews but WALT was so great today I had to stop and take the time out of my day to pay him some mad respect for his character and work ethic and I want his supervisor to know, if he doesn't already just what kind of individual he has representing his company. I have to say that the customer service at this place is INCREDIBLE!!! Walter was the first one I met who assisted me in determining whether this was the right storage facility for me or not, and finding the right storage unit for me as well. There was another customer right after me, but Walter took his time showing me the 2 units I was inquiring about, and didn't make me feel rushed into making any hasty decisions. I checked out the A-1 Storage facility down the street and the customer service rep who helped me wasn't as motivated to help me the way Walter was and certainly didn't seem to care too well either. Life Storage, another facility not too far from StorQuest didn't even have anyone assisting people in person! During this time where face masks, plexiglass, and social distancing exists to help everyone, including businesses, this place didn't do anything but just shut its office down to potential new customers! I had to call their business line to find out what was going on. Their onsite manager was currently offsite. I couldn't wait for more than the 15-20 minutes I already was there for so I went with the obvious. This STORQUEST facility is located in a quiet neighborhood, well gated with security cameras, and always has personnel on site during their business hours. My 2 key things were cost and the security of my belongings. This place by far has the best rates. Walter didn't sugar coat anything for me. He answered all of my questions honestly and was both courteous and professional. I've only had my storage unit for a few weeks but so far so good. No complaints. Chris, who also works there, is just as courteous, professional, and helpful as well. I can't recommend this place enough, and especially with how great the people who work here are. Walter Jones, Store Manager at this StorQuest, was very helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted a ground floor unit at first. Walter asked which was more important to me: ground floor access or saving money on a second floor unit. Saving money is more important to me. Then I thought it was going to be more work to get my items into the second floor unit. Not at all. StorQuest provides the use of their heavy duty carts for free. My stuff is all in boxes. It was so easy to place the boxes on the cart and roll it into the elevator. Very glad I chose the second floor unit and saved money on the rental fee. Because of Walter's help, I realized that I did not need a first floor unit. Just starting my association with StorQuest, and am looking forward to a great experience. read more

Very disappointing. Spoke with Chris (supposedly a manager) who could really care less about anyone's issues. During these Covid-19 times they still claim that increases are "computer generated" and would not offer me even a small discount or any delay of payment! NONE! Have had unit for 2 years and about every 6 months or so they raise the rate. I've seen the unit in just two years go from 108 to over 160. They tell you pretty much the month of that they are changing the rates as well. Looking for a new spot currently. read more

Great place and price for a storage unit. Friendly staff, Leanne was very knowledgeable and nice. I paid $21 for the first month and $131 thereafter for a 10x10. It was also very convenient to rent a Penske truck there without having to go to a separate place to pick one up. They quoted me $40 for the day but I only needed it a few hours so I got it for $25. read more

Karen and the rest of the staff are great. The storage unit wasn't the cheapest we found, but we felt comfortable using the facilities and were always greeted when we arrived. It was important to us that our things were secure and the prices were reasonable and we got the first two months at half price. I am very disappointed. They get you in at a decent rate and then increase the rent $45 that is a big increase and it hasn't even been 6 months. Also the storage shed smells very bad. Smells like a lawn chemical . I really hope my belongings don't smell. Also it is very dark in there. You can't see anything: I am very disappointed. After screening nearby facilities through Yelp, I decided to give StorQuest a try. As soon as I got to the service counter, I was greeted by a charming young lady, Cindy. She has received accolades on other reviews that I've read, and she cheerfully gave me all the details I needed as well as a tour. I've rented at a number of other facilities in the past, but within 15 minutes I knew I'd come to the right place. Cindy is truly customer oriented and a real pleasure to deal with.
