We weren't to hard on our movers and get them our in 2:15 total. The issue, upon payment it was brought up we needed to pay them for "double drive time". The person even brought up a California Labor Law website. The additional fee was $175, in cash which was shocking. It felt slimy in the moment and we were expected to just ante up $675 for 2:15. Double drive time implying they went from our old house to the new house. My question is, is that not the standard of moving (2 locations)? And why was this fee not brought to our attention during the initial conversations. I'm sure there is a email they send. But when you advertise $169 per hour with a 3 hour minimum, that was certainly the price we expected.

They had wardrobe boxes I could use for my clothes, which was much appreciated. They took apart things like my table, tv stand, book shelves, etc. and wrapped everything. I didn't need them to pack but I would trust them completely if I had. Very happy with this experience and I'd definitely recommend to anyone moving in the South Bay (Gardena/Torrance/Hawthorne). Gregory, our onsite lead, was responsive, well organized, and his four-person crew worked very hard. My advice to anyone moving is to be realistic about how much stuff you have. I got three quotes. One company estimated one-and-a-half 27-foot trucks, while Royal and another company estimated one 27-foot truck. My move-out apartment was 895 sq ft with a large patio. Before moving day, I made two 10-foot Home Depot truck trips myself with the delicate and bulky items: my electric bike, Peloton, and other things that don't stack well. Royal filled a 27-foot truck with everything else, efficiently using all the available space. We did go a little over the estimate because of rush-hour traffic. The only part I didn't enjoy was the payment app prompting for a tip at checkout. After a long moving day, that was one unnecessary stress point because I never know what's considered an appropriate tip for professional movers. Fortunately, I had already planned ahead with cash tips and cold Gatorades for the crew throughout the day. I highly recommend Royal Movers. They made a difficult move much easier. I also gained a whole new respect for my son, his friend, and my old girlfriend, who helped me move the last time. Like many of you I have moved around quite a few times over the years and worked with many different moving companies. I can say without a shadow of a doubt these guys are by far the best in the business. Not only did Ricardo give me a very accurate quote over the phone after we went over the details. He personally came to the unit I was vacating did a video walk through and his quote was not only spot on with his original quote he was also significantly less expensive than any of their competitors. Cheapest does not always mean the best but in this instance it was a unicorn. The most professional, efficient, hard working and positive team I have ever witnessed in this industry. Pedro and his team were complete rock stars and took pride in their work. Redondo Van and Storage went well beyond of what was expected. I was in absolute shock how quickly they were able to not only move my belongings but packed and labeled to a military degree. If you are changing locations and are in the market for moving or storage you all know as well as I time is of the essence. As a human trying to help other humans if you are looking for storage or moving needs quit your search right here. We used Redondo Van & Storage in July 2020. We could not have been more pleased working with the entire team. The front office was available to answer all questions (and I had many due to moving during CoVid). In order to help streamline the move, they allowed us to pick up our boxes from the office ahead of time so we could have them packed and ready to go vs. waiting for them to be delivered day of on the truck. The moving team showed up on time and covered all hardwood floors, were efficient, careful and wore masks and gloves the entire time. Nothing was damaged. We had entry stairs from the patio and the equipment they used made the move 100 times easier. They were able to build a ramp down the stairs which made the move seamless. After we completed the move we noticed that our couch cushions were missing, a simple oversight. They must have gotten buried in the truck. We called the team and they quickly located the pillows and the head mover drove them back to our house within the hour. So responsive and professional. Robert took the lead on my move, and he, Francisco and Ubaldo were friendly, professional and extremely efficient. This is to commend Redondo Van and Storage for a superb, well-coordinated move from Hawthorne, California to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Due to the challenges of a rural, private road in Santa Fe it was determined that the move would require two 16 foot moving vans, instead of the larger vehicle that would normally be used for this type of move. Despite inclement weather and traffic delays, the move was completed on schedule. Since we have completed the unpacking of boxes, etc. we are happy to report that everything arrived without a scratch and nothing was broken in the process! We recently moved after 30 years in the same house and were nervous about moving. Redondo Van and Storage made it extremely easy. The guys who did the move, Tony, Margarito, Poncho and Francisco were very professional and competent. They worked nonstop and it in sync, it was almost like a choreographed dance. My husband I used this company twice. We first used them last year to move his from his apartment in San Pedro to Lomita. Then this year to move from my house in Long Beach to Lomita. This company is fair in their pricing, are always prompt, and we haven't had any damaged items. We did think we lost a dolly but it was found buried in our garage. So thankful for this company because they had not much notice to move my house and somehow made it work. I got sick late Thursday night; too late to reschedule. (I ended up being sick for three days.) Walsh arrived as scheduled Friday morning. I couldn't move let alone move. I had to cancel and reschedule for the following Monday. I was charged a fair cancellation fee. They arrived Monday as promised. They didn't make fun of me still not being ready. After speaking with 4 different companies, Redondo beach movers provided the most affordable rate ($150-170/hr for 3 workers) with the least amount of minimum hours (3). Refundable deposit of $50 They are very professional, responsive to phone calls and emails. We were able to schedule our move right away. The guys arrived on time in a 26 ft truck. They took care of our furniture, wrapping everything in blankets and plastic wrap. Our place was a 3 story townhome and they did exceptionally well carrying everything from the refrigerator to washer and dryer down a narrow staircase. Not only that, but the walls and floor were barely affected. The team also is able to assemble and disassemble furniture and place everything in whichever room you choose. There is an extra fee for anything over 300ish pounds. Overall, a very positive experience that takes a lot of stress out of moving. Highly recommend
