DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! By far the worst moving…read moreexperience of my life. This company was subcontracted by American van lines to fulfil our contract with AVL. To make a very long story short, we were verbally promised delivery within 7-10 days, latest was July 10th, of the pick up date. That did not happen. They even blew past the 20 day delivery window in the contract. Our delivery did not show up until July 27th. All the while we were receiving harassing texts demanding the rest of the payment or else they would turn around. And when the truck did finally arrive, only the driver was present to unload it. We paid for loading and unloading services and were basically left on own with the driver to unload. I have a physical disability and was unable to help, so my partner bore the burden of five grueling hours of unloading a 26 foot moving truck with the driver. We contacted the company after an hour or two passes and still no other movers arrived and were told that, in fact, they WERE there! They even argued with us saying that the movers confirmed they would be there in 45 minutes, 2 hours ago. And yet. No movers. Also the driver used a slur in front of my partner and I about a group of people that I belong to. Absolutely disgusting.

On the day of the move, Alex texted me that they were on their way and arrived exactly when he said they would. They were super professional and fast and I felt totally at ease with Alex and his crew. For my 2 bedroom move, they sent 3 movers with a huge truck. They had wardrobe boxes I could use for my clothes, which was much appreciated. They took apart things like my table, tv stand, book shelves, etc. and wrapped everything. I didn't need them to pack but I would trust them completely if I had. Very happy with this experience and I'd definitely recommend to anyone moving in the South Bay (Gardena/Torrance/Hawthorne). I paid $300 to ship a package to Europe -- nearly three times what the post office would have charged ($120). A month later, the package was returned to me. When I investigated, the post office explained that Box Bros uses a third-party vendor for overseas shipping, and that vendor sent the package back. When I brought the returned package to Box Bros, the employee on duty was sympathetic but said there was nothing they could do. In other words: I paid $300 for a service that was never completed, and was told I was on my own. I ended up shipping through USPS for $120, bringing my total cost to $420. I returned to Box Bros seeking a refund. The owner acknowledged the issue and promised to make it right -- possibly a partial refund or store credit -- but was vague about the details. That was over six months ago. Despite multiple visits and assurances from staff that the owner would reach out, I have never been contacted. **Bottom line:** Box Bros is still a great spot to buy boxes -- it's the best option in the area for that. But I would not recommend using their shipping services. You'll pay significantly more than USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and if something goes wrong, don't expect a resolution. One star, because they promised to fix this and never followed through.

Like many of you I have moved around quite a few times over the years and worked with many different moving companies. I can say without a shadow of a doubt these guys are by far the best in the business. Not only did Ricardo give me a very accurate quote over the phone after we went over the details. He personally came to the unit I was vacating did a video walk through and his quote was not only spot on with his original quote he was also significantly less expensive than any of their competitors. Cheapest does not always mean the best but in this instance it was a unicorn. The most professional, efficient, hard working and positive team I have ever witnessed in this industry. Pedro and his team were complete rock stars and took pride in their work. Redondo Van and Storage went well beyond of what was expected. I was in absolute shock how quickly they were able to not only move my belongings but packed and labeled to a military degree. If you are changing locations and are in the market for moving or storage you all know as well as I time is of the essence. We used Redondo Van & Storage in July 2020. We could not have been more pleased working with the entire team. The front office was available to answer all questions (and I had many due to moving during CoVid). In order to help streamline the move, they allowed us to pick up our boxes from the office ahead of time so we could have them packed and ready to go vs. waiting for them to be delivered day of on the truck. The moving team showed up on time and covered all hardwood floors, were efficient, careful and wore masks and gloves the entire time. Nothing was damaged. We had entry stairs from the patio and the equipment they used made the move 100 times easier. They were able to build a ramp down the stairs which made the move seamless. After we completed the move we noticed that our couch cushions were missing, a simple oversight. They must have gotten buried in the truck. We called the team and they quickly located the pillows and the head mover drove them back to our house within the hour. So responsive and professional. I moved my residence about a month ago and used Redondo Van and Storage for the first time. I sure wish I'd used them for all of my previous moves! Robert took the lead on my move, and he, Francisco and Ubaldo were friendly, professional and extremely efficient. I was too busy with work the week before my move so didn't get much packing done, so I was very stressed. Robert, Francisco and Ubaldo jumped in and cheerfully packed and moved all of my belongings -- they did a better packing job than I could have, and all of my crystals and other cherished items were moved with as much care as I would have given them, and all arrived in perfect condition. This is to commend Redondo Van and Storage for a superb, well-coordinated move from Hawthorne, California to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Due to the challenges of a rural, private road in Santa Fe it was determined that the move would require two 16 foot moving vans, instead of the larger vehicle that would normally be used for this type of move. Despite inclement weather and traffic delays, the move was completed on schedule. Since we have completed the unpacking of boxes, etc. we are happy to report that everything arrived without a scratch and nothing was broken in the process! We recently moved after 30 years in the same house and were nervous about moving. Redondo Van and Storage made it extremely easy. The guys who did the move, Tony, Margarito, Poncho and Francisco were very professional and competent. They worked nonstop and it in sync, it was almost like a choreographed dance. My husband I used this company twice. We first used them last year to move his from his apartment in San Pedro to Lomita. Then this year to move from my house in Long Beach to Lomita. This company is fair in their pricing, are always prompt, and we haven't had any damaged items. We did think we lost a dolly but it was found buried in our garage. So thankful for this company because they had not much notice to move my house and somehow made it work. I had to move with very little notice. Ricardo was very helpful in advising me what I needed and was very responsive to my questions. I had a two day move and the same team was with me both days. Excellent professional service. We used Redondo van and storage for our move 8 years ago and called on them again for our recent local move. The team of Pedro, Salvador, Patrick and Jorge were amazing. Handled all our furniture with care and efficiency. Focused and responsible service, finished earlier than estimated. They finished the job well ahead of the estimated time with no wasted effort at any time. Pleasant and professional including Ryan who came out to estimate the job. Now the Good Stuff: They remain CALM regardless of how frazzled you might be or get. They are exceedingly polite both over the phone and the in-person movers. They know what they are doing. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. My Personal Recommendations: I was no where near ready to move. Walsh was scheduled. I thought I could make it work. I got sick late Thursday night; too late to reschedule. (I ended up being sick for three days.) Walsh arrived as scheduled Friday morning. I couldn't move let alone move. I had to cancel and reschedule for the following Monday. I was charged a fair cancellation fee. They arrived Monday as promised. They didn't make fun of me still not being ready. A lot was moved that day. (Great price overall even with the cancellation fee.) Thanks.
