Josh at Citadel moved mountains to get our office furniture moved with only one day notice. The office building required a specific certificate of insurance which takes time to get and he totally went out of his way to get what was needed to make the move within our specific time frame. The movers, Eric & David, were professional, organized and friendly. They took extra care to wrap, move and deliver extremely heavy furniture pieces and everything arrived without a hitch. Excellent movers! We came up to help our daughter & her fiancé move into their new place after their graduation! We decided to go with Citadel Movers again! These movers (Luis & Eddie) provided us with first-class service! They took care wrapping all the furniture with blankets and shrink-wrap. They systematically loaded all the packed boxes into their large clean moving van and made sure everything was moved with care. These professionals helped us with everything we couldn't move by ourselves. They have a really good system in place to get all the belongings to the new place without any damage! Respectful and very hardworking describe Luis & Eddie! We had everything packed and labeled for them when they arrived. They provided the muscle, wardrobe boxes, shrink-wrap, padded blankets, tape, hand-trucks and dollies for the move! It's 3 hours minimum and you're charged by the hour after that. I made the move from a 2story 4BR house to a 1 story 2BR rental, they took care of the dismantling of the beds, boxing up my closet, wrapping up everything, including 5 vertical garden towers ai had outside that I was determined I wasn't leaving behind. All our items arrived at their new home safe and sound. They set up everything at the place, including hanging up all the clothes in the closet. We did a full service pack and move and they started at 8am and finished by 1pm! We had one small casualty with the wifi extender that was on the back of a computer tower. Chose this company based on the reviews with hopes that they had consistency. Definitely, did not happen. Had two guys and they did not wrap any furniture in blankets. None at all. And yes, they had them and they remained perfectly folded on the truck. Only some clear plastic wrap was used, and only a thin amount. All headboards were not wrapped AT ALL even though they are made of fabric/velvet. Extremely disappointing because thousands of dollars worth of furniture had smudges, scratches, chips. Furniture is solid wood for example, a bar cart made of walnut, coffee table with mango wood were banged up, scratched and chipped. They asked for a rag and soap to make amends. In the end, only offered $100 for damages. Definitely not even close. I had left early to get the second place ready. When I saw them pull out square, rectangular pieces of wooden furniture in merely plastic and with holes by the time it got off the truck, it was extremely disappointing. They pulled bed pieces fresh out of the truck, with no coverings, I kid you not. I would not hire them ever again. If you do, I would recommend keeping an eye on them while packing... read more

Used Citadel to book a last minute unload job, for my move down from San Francisco to LA. The company I originally booked a month ago, over scheduled, and left me hanging last minute. I called Citadel in a state of panic, and they were immediately accommodating and friendly on the phone - with an extremely fair price - even with the last minute booking. What an instant relief! I wish I called them from the start. Fast forward to moving in day, Farkhat and Luis call me an hour ahead of our scheduled time , giving me ample heads up, and promptly showed up on time. These guys were so great! Met me at my POD, loaded the truck and then met at the apartment to unload. They were super friendly and efficient and treated my stuff really well! They also gave me some tips on different places in the LA area as I am new and may try to connect me with a friend who is in the same professional field as me! I had a dresser and side tables that I had not wrapped shut and they wrapped them for me so they would not get damaged. Everything was on time and they even helped me put my bed together and set up my bedroom the way I wanted rather than just leaving stuff all over. I needed help moving from my studio in K-town to another apartment in Long Beach. Hiring Citadel was money well spent, such a painless move! Farkhat and Luis showed up within the specified 2-hour time window yesterday and sent me a text before arriving. If you're tempted like me to help, you also realize very quickly that these two operate like clockwork and you're only getting in the way, so stand back and let them do their thing (unless I suppose if they ask for your help, which is unlikely). You'll likely not be needed for anything more than simply letting them know which rooms things go in, or giving them a heads up about any obstacles they should know about during the move. It's pretty impressive to see how expertly and quickly they can wrap, pack, and move your things, and Farkhat had no issue disassembling and reassembling part of my bed frame for the move as well. Their drive time was accurate too, in case you're worried about movers taking a longer route to charge you more. Finally, with Yelp's quote request tool I was able to see rates from multiple moving companies and Citadel's was quite competitive, so they definitely earned a 5/5 from me.
