Z Movers was honestly one of the best parts of what could have been a very stressful move. The team worked incredibly hard from start to finish and went out of their way to help smooth over multiple building and logistics issues during move day. They were professional, efficient, careful, and impressively fast while still taking great care of our belongings. They safely moved an extremely heavy marble table without issue, and at the very end of the move we asked them to maneuver a very large, heavy dresser through a narrow hallway in our newly renovated home. They somehow managed to do it safely without damaging the walls, floors, or furniture. I was honestly amazed watching them work. What stood out most was their attitude throughout the entire process. Even when delays and complications came up outside of their control, they stayed calm, solution-oriented, and hardworking the entire day. I almost wished they would take longer breaks because of how nonstop they worked. They were also very transparent about pricing, which was fair, and communication throughout the process was excellent. Also, please feed your movers during lunch and ask if they have any allergies or dietary restrictions. This crew absolutely deserved it. 4 years later and i just finished my 3rd move with Z movers. They are always professional and on time. My experience began with getting a quote and they will ask for a video call or you can send pictures of your space. This is to see how many items to determine how many people are needed and also the value of your furniture/goods in case you want to purchase additional insurance in case anything gets damaged. I had a couple old furniture pieces I didn't want anymore, and they also helped with removal for a fee. On moving day, Peter and Antonio arrived right on time and wrapped everything in blankets. The company's owner is truly unique in this space. Be is single handedly changing the sleazy perception of moving companies. I once had a moving company come and try to strong arm rob me after they'd given me an estimate based on me measuring every item I was planing to move. After agreeing on an estimate they required a hefty deposit to confirm the appointment. Only to come out on the appointed day and try to TRIPLE charge me with the threat that my hefty deposit would be forfeited if I didn't agree to pay. They gave me 30 min to accept or they would consider it a refusal and keep my deposit. However Z movers charges by the hour and gives you a very reasonable per hour quote for three guys and sticks to it!!!! Amazing!!!! No surprise additional charges on the day you've plan your move. The guys arrive ready to work no milking the clock and that is very COMMENDABLE. They take care to ensure your furnishings are properly protected and stable. They were recommended by the storage unit and they were fantastic! I needed my living room furniture moved to a storage unit and brought back a week later. Katherine, who got me started, was so nice and helpful. The two movers were punctual, really nice, thorough and fast. They start charging when they arrived which I really appreciated as it kept the cost down. They wrapped everything. The return was just as good. The same two movers brought everything back in same condition. They even gave me a discount for being a return customer counting the second half as return. My girlfriend hired this company to help move her studio apartment from the first floor to a 1 bedroom in her same building. I wasn't there to assist in the move due to work obligations. We all understand that things happen in the course of a move; which is fine. My girlfriend is into design & owns a few pieces of extremely expensive furniture (I'll never understand why). But there were a plethora of things chipped and the television no longer works. One being an incredibly expensive speaker and table. Again, things happen. I just made a call to the moving company. And a gentleman answered the phone. I calmly & professionally explained to him the situation. Stated that my girlfriend was made to sign some sort of waiver stating if anything is broken its not their fault (this is something I would've never allowed her to sign unless I read in full & made the proper amendments prior to signing). That's neither here nor there. Upon explaining the situation and asking him what's the companies protocol on these types of things (them being bonded & insured) he gets defensive, starts stuttering and says he will have someone call her on Tuesday (AGAIN, that's understandable. A phone call on Tuesday is fine). What I'm not okay with is the handling of this conversation. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. When asked about the protocol; again I'm told they will call on Tuesday (understandable maybe this guy isn't in that department). So then I ask the name of the person who will be giving her a calls name & he got defensive & said "im going to disconnect the call" & hangs up. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. AND I'm a very well respected realtor who is asked for recommendations for clients all the time for a good moving company. There was an opportunity to handle this properly and this phone call was handled as though they collected their money shoved a waiver in my girlfriends face and now do not want to have a conversation. If I could give ZERO stars I would UPDATE: nothing was put together correctly. The bed was not screwed in. There are pieces to lamps missing. Hands down the worst job done by a moving company. Sad part is we literally moved 2 floors up in the same building. Shame on this company read more

Moving is a B. These guys made it seem easy! I cannot express how fantastic they were and how much I recommend them to you. They showed up on time, came in and were super professional, clearing out the items in the house with precision teamwork, the right equipment, and to a high standard. They are respectful of your belongings and have everything wrapped up in cellophane. As they get paid by the hour, it helps if you have done all the pre-work, boxing and taping the boxes, so they can just come in and move things out. But, they've said they have done the other stuff too, it just takes a lot longer. We had a full house of stuff, hundreds and hundreds of boxes and they made everything fit in the storage unit, in a magical tetris of stacking. When the fridge wouldn't fit as is, they took it apart, took apart the door, and handled it. They were friendly, and all around awesomeness. It's been a couple years since I moved with these guys and although they were friendly and efficient, I can't shake the fact that I don't feel that enough care was placed into the protection of items that were being moved. They damaged multiple large houseplants that never recovered from the move (plants should never be jammed up against things or squeezed by leaves/branches, they should simply be held by the planter) despite confirming with them that they can safely move house plants, and I felt that some of my items were being dirtied in the process of being moved. One of the movers also kept asking me how much each of my furnishings cost which didn't feel professional. They ultimately got everything done and showed up when promised, but there are definitely areas that bothered me enough that I won't be using this moving company again moving forward. read more

The cost is steep but the service doesn't quite measure up. ==What I loved== I've used Z movers twice. Each time the guys were super friendly and really flexible. they all seem like chill dudes to have beers with. They move slow but for the most part they seem methodical-ish. ==What I hated== Both times that I used them, I booked morning appointments. Both times they were an hour and a half late. I personally am very flexible with this, as I can only imagine the amount of things that can happen throughout the day that cause delays. However, the delay caused them to sit in rush hour traffic which increased the "drive time" (which was 2x the hourly rate). I was on the hook for that extra time which is BS. That whole system is garbage. The guys, as nice as they were, had varying degrees of skill at their craft so some things got damaged in the move. Luckily nothing major; a whiteboard was bent and had to be tossed and a dresser got a nasty scratch but your mileage may vary. read more

They took extremely good care of all of our objects, meticulously wrapping them for protection even though we were only going 1 mile. Luckily I moved with Z Movers again! After my great experience with my last move, I obviously called Z Movers again. Peter gave me an estimate and scheduled my move on the Saturday I wanted to move. Before the move, Peter brought me their green standard boxes, which made it really easy for me to pack up all my smaller stuff as I don't keep random moving boxes around my house. The movers were at my house on time (ever heard of movers being on time?), they all (team of 3) seemed to be in a great move and excited to help me with my move. They loaded all the green boxes first then then loaded my bigger pieces and furniture. They made sure they wrapped everything fragile in blankets and loaded it in the truck without breaking anything or leaving any marks. After everything was done, there were no additional charges. I keep hearing about moving companies which offer unbelievably cheap prices and then hit you with all those extra charges when they are done. Don't forget: legally they can keep your belongings and not unload them until you pay them what they think you owe them! Thank you, Z-Movers for making me hate moving less :) read more

I moved back in February and I went with Z Movers. I shopped around for movers to move from one 2 bedroom to another 2 bedroom in Los Angeles. And chose Z Movers due to their competitive estimate and what was included in it. After I chose them, seamless process and the movers, James and Sal, were above awesome. James and Sal were courteous, respectful of my belongings, and above all, fast and efficient. They stayed within our allotted time, which is important, since time costs us $$$. Some advice when shopping for movers: packaging your items is extra, some movers will charge for moving supplies, and most movers will include their drive time, from Point A to Point B, doubled, into your allotted time. Legit the BEST movers in the world!!! I used Kevin and Peter to move 6 years ago when they'd just started up their business and just used them again to move our family into our new house and their team was BEYOND INCREDIBLE. Carlos, Antonio, Anthony, Edwardo and Gabriel came and packed for us the day before and while my husband and I were initially hesitant about the extra cost, it was the best money we've ever spent. They were quick, efficient, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our entire home and all ours and our kids belongings were packed carefully and beautifully. Not to mention what a pleasure they were to have around which makes all the difference when you're going through the stress of a move.
