Z Movers - All moved in - Movers Near Me - Hollywood, California

I used Z Movers in April 2019 upon the recommendation of a friend who had used them in December 2018. I've managed both large-scale office moves (5x of 50-100 people) and my personal residence (10x), and the crew that Z Movers sent was hands-down the best I've worked with. The crew members were very professional and courteous. The booking/dispatch staff was on point and just the right amount of communication happened in the 48 hours leading up to the move. Absolutely nothing was damaged and and the move was completed 1.5 hours earlier than I estimated based on my experience with moves. I highly recommend them! read more

We've used Z Movers twice now and they are just consummate professionals. We've also referred them to at least 3 friends who have all loved them as well. They are quick and efficient and don't even cost that much, especially given what stellar service they provide. They moved our 3 bedroom house which included an insane amount of stuff in our garage in under 7 hours. Moving is a tough job but these guys do it with a big smile on their face and are so friendly. The crew that moved us even chatted at length with our 4 year old who asks a million questions. If you want a painless, efficient move that won't damage your wallet please hire these guys. They are *the best* read more

I moved last Tuesday and couldn't be happier with Z Movers!!! Fast, efficient, careful, affordable and thoughtful. I found Z Movers from a web search, and then I read the many positive reviews from Google and Yelp! There were other companies that also had many positive reviews, and also had the same pricing. I called Z Movers because they were close to my apartment, and then I choose to hire them because the two people I spoke with on the phone had superior customer service skills. For example: our old place had a very narrow driveway with a tricky angle to enter, and I wanted to make sure a 17 foot van would fit. They checked it out on google maps. I had quite a few questions, and the fellow on the phone, Gabriel, helped thoroughly even though it was almost closing time when I called. On moving day they arrived when they said they'd arrive. 2 of the nicest, most energetic, good-natured, strong dudes, Gio and Gabriel, were our movers. They never wasted a single moment. They were fast but careful. We moved from a first floor one bedroom apartment to second floor one bedroom apartment (in a complex, so it required traveling a distance up stairs and through a gate down a walkway and up more stairs). We had tons of boxes as also very heavy yet extra fragile furniture. They never slowed down, they were extremely efficient as well as gentle with the fragile stuff. Some of the items we had packed were glass, and we thought we did a good job, but they took extra cautionary steps to add extra padding and wrapping. Not one thing was broken. Not one thing was even dented or scratched. The drive time was about 30 minutes each way and the cost and total time of the move was what was generally estimated. (About $550). (It was about 8:30am to 2pm to move way too much stuff into a not-extremely accessible location). That cost was industry standard, but their service was in a higher class, way above standard. As a total side note, my little dog usually barks at everyone who enters his immediate vicinity, like crazy, until he gets to know them. Maybe his "good person"-radar was working, because he didn't make a peep at Gio or Gabriel, and was as friendly as can be while watching them move our belonging. I love my new apartment and don't plan on moving again soon, but when I do move, I will 100% hire Z Movers again. read more

Best moving company we have ever worked with. From the phone staff to the owners to the movers, everyone is a top notch professional. We had a big move across cities and took 3 days. Z Movers exceeded all expectations. Movers worked incredibly hard, they were kind, thorough, professional and went above and beyond for us. When setting up they were meticulous and made sure we were happy with furniture placement and thoughtful as to where every box was placed. I will recommend to everyone I know. So thankful we used them for our move. read more

It's hard to lose someone and take possession of the items they wanted me to have. The movers arrived on time. They worked fast and secured everything for transport. Unloaded into a storage space leaving more room than I expected to have. They were caring and took care of my belongings, which are now heirlooms for me. And they finished way before schedule, which was good for my bottom line. I would definitely hire them again, if needed. read more

Update: This year I recommended Z Movers to a friend and they were wonderful with her. They were kind, compassionate, and got the job done! Made me look good for recommending them. Thanks again Z Movers! read more

Z-movers has helped us move twice now and both times were a breeze. One of the biggest compliments we can think of is that Peter and his team always manage to make moving seem fun and easy (it's not!). Even towards the end of a long day where for us the fatigue and stress definitely kicked in, they remained so calm and professional and made sure every last thing was carefully unpacked and put back together. Their prices are very reasonable and unbeatable if you look at the service you get in return. Do not look any further and book Z-movers. We will never move again without them. read more

Recently my partner + merged our homes together. We both knew it was going to be a tough move. I was in a mid-rise building with long hallways, a service elevator + cranky management. He was on the second floor of a five-plex with a narrow stairwell + tight corners. And we were moving into the second floor of a Spanish/Deco Duplex. // We heard about Z MOVERS from a good friend. And after reading their stellar reviews, I was ready to sign up. And honestly, it was the best MOVE I ever made. Pun intended. // Z MOVERS is the best moving experience I've ever had. Professional, considerate, caring, fun, prompt, fast. The aren't just a moving company. They ARE EXPERT moving Specialists. // My experience was so incredible that I called Kevin, the Director of Logistics @ Z MOVERS, in the middle of my move to rave + gush about the incredible team that was moving our lives. // Z MOVERS gets a big, fat rating. A friend of mine recommended Z Movers and after this, I'm going to have to trust every future recommendation from them. Scheduling the move and discussing the logistics was painless. They were professional on the phone and by email, dotting the i's and crossing the t's to make sure we had everything ready to go for our upcoming move. The movers came right on time, had all the necessary equipment and wasted no time getting things into the truck. They were careful with fragile items and even took apart the furniture, wrapped it and carried it off. We also had a storage unit to pick up items from, I was worried this would complicate things but not at all, Z Movers had us covered. In no time we were at the new place with nearly everything unpacked. They even had us double check the truck to make sure nothing was missing. Not a single damaged item! Worth every penny for what was easily the most painless moving experience I've ever had. Thank you! read more

I found them on Yelp. Super easy to deal with, fast response, and showed up on time! We had the best experience ever, so much fun, and Eduardo and Gio were the best crew we could imagine. Would highly recommend anytime, and will definitely use again! read more

Great, reliable and friendly movers. Got the job done without any damage at all to any items. I hired Z Movers to both pack and move us, and they did both flawlessly and quickly! I recommended them to a friend for a recent move who also had a wonderful experience with Z Movers! read more

Z Movers is hands down the best moving company I've ever used. They were professional and pleasant to work with every step of the way. The planning process was a breeze, and they had no problem meeting my new building's very picky insurance requirements. The day of the move was actually fun! Nothing broken, lost, or damaged, and everything that had been taken apart was put back together perfectly. Every person I dealt with at this company was absolutely A+. read more

Professional, efficient, first rate company. Fair price well worth the cost. I call the company and they adjusted their schedule to accommodate my last minute request. They thoroughly explained the time, number of movers and charges. They showed up on time and went over what was needed and immediately went to work. No loafing around. They wrapped and moved the items and took excellent care of fragile valuable items. They took the item to drop-off point and checked the items and stored them as requested. Amazing to watch their efficiency. I would and did hire them for a second project a few weeks later. The same experience. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

I was referred Z Movers by my landlords who also used them. it was my first time hiring a moving company and I was blown away. The whole process was fast, affordable, and professional. I had a two man crew who showed and cranked through my moving across town in about 2.5 hours. All of my items were taken care of and the crew was polite, fun, and efficient. Peter was so sweet and a stud in lifting up my desk with no damage. I was sent a guideline for moving beforehand to prepare for the big day. I would hire these guys again and HIGHLY recommend them. Scheduling was a breeze and communication was at an all time high. Their truck and equipment got me from a 2nd story loft into another rear unit with winding stairs in a instant. EXCELLENT WORK. read more

Z Movers was recommended to me by a trusted friend. She spoke very highly about the company, and I really appreciated the referral, because moving can be so stressful, and there are many companies that don't take great care in protecting and moving your items. They were prompt, communicative, well-prepared, friendly, courteous, and efficient. They took great care in wrapping all of my items, and they provided wardrobe boxes for all of my hanging closet items. I wouldn't call the service inexpensive, but having used inexpensive movers in the past, I would much rather pay what I did for peace of mind. I'll definitely look to hire them again for my next move! read more

I used Z Movers two years ago and they were fantastic (the owner, Peter was one of my two movers), but when I used them a couple months ago, I felt I had been ripped off. TLDR: nope nope nope, go with someone else. 1st time: the movers arrived and were very friendly, very organized, very prepared and very fast. Boxes were thrown inside massive dolly carts, which went straight into the truck. Glass furniture was wrapped in cellophane and padded materials, put on wheels and straight into the truck. They understood very easily and didn't need me to make their decisions, they just went to work. They moved my ground unit 1-bedroom into another 1-bedroom on the 2nd floor a few miles away. 2nd time: these guys did not seem altogether there. They were weird. I had to repeat instructions several times and they kept arguing that there was no way half my furniture came in through the front door the last time, claiming I misremembered and I must have built the furniture inside the apartment. One guy must have been out of his mind, he wrapped the cat litter box in cello-tape and I had to explain to him that I had to clean it out first. "Why?" -- "Well, unless you want cat poop all over your truck, be my guest." This same guy decided to wrap my nightstand after I told him I was gonna pull out the contents of the drawers, first. He said it was fine to go straight into the truck with the drawers filled with stuff. Then he flipped it upside down in front of me, and I could hear the thunderous sound of a thousand tiny metal and glass objects rattling around (because the drawers don't fully come out, it took hours to fish the contents out from behind later on). They spent inordinate amounts of time moving some items, including the couch which took on/off over an hour. After their numerous failed attempts, I investigated and found, underneath all the cello-tape they had wrapped the couch with, the feet were still connected. "You realize these come off, right? That gives you at least 3 more inches." And I was stunned that they continued to argue with me that wouldn't help. Well, it worked as soon as they took the feet off so I guess that makes me the pro. I can understand gross incompetence but what I consider unforgivable was that these guys charged me to take over an hour and a half's worth of breaks in the middle of the day. "We're just gonna grab some lunch at this corner store, probably 30 minutes." Took over an hour. "We're just gonna catch our breath for 5 minutes." Took 20 minutes. Cumulatively, they might have taken well over 2 hours since there were plenty of times I wasn't paying attention to where they were. I figured they were fine to take breaks, but I didn't expect to pay them for it. I even tipped these guys before they handed me the bill and I was shocked when they explained I owed them for every minute since they had started their truck in the morning. I don't get paid for breaks at my job, so why should you? They offered a discount for paying in cash. Yeah, right. Keep dreaming. 1st time: cost me about $600 for a one bedroom apartment. 2nd time: cost me about $850 with half the furniture as the 1st time (and that's with a nifty 10% discount for repeat business). Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this company. read more

In all of companies and people you choose in the process of moving, choosing Z Movers was the best choice we could have made. They showed up on-time (early in fact) and hustled from the very start to the very end. Peter and his team took such care moving the delicate items, to making sure all of the furniture in our new place made it in with ease and without leaving any marks. They brought a ton of wardrobe boxes to move the hanging stuff. I could go on about how great they were during each of the rest of the steps of the move, but the truth is they were so great, I didn't have to worry or watch over them. I could focus on other things, while I knew they were fine to handle everything else on their own. I found them by searching Next Door after the moving company that did my move 3 years ago wasn't available. So I kind of lucked into finding Z Movers. Next move they will be my first and only call. Do yourself a favor, save time and money and call them first. You won't regret it. read more

This is the moving company you want to hire!!!! I know someone in one of the review said "who uses the same moving company 3x in a row?!"...well I'm another one of those people! I hired Z Movers in November to help me move personally from my 1-bedroom in Hollywood to Santa Monica. The movers were on-time, professional and had a great personality. We made sure they had water and were fed since they were taking care of all our personal items. They overcame the furniture challenges that we knew would be an issue. (huge sectional into our new place...had to improvise and go through the window) We were there the whole time finishing up our packing and making sure we did our final cleaning before we turned in our keys. They are definitely worth every penny! Then, I knew I was going to be moving offices soon and I wanted to use them. I hired them again since I knew they were dependable. They moved my 1400 sqft office to the new 3,000sqft in Venice and it was a breeze. Now I was 5-month pregnant so to have their help was so amazing! From there, I had left over furniture that I was trying to sell at the new office. I needed movers to help me again donate all of it to Salvation Army. They were there for a quick 3-hour gig, took everything to the donation center and called it a day. I will keep hiring them for all my moves and know you get so much quality with them. They have all the supplies and are careful with everything. They move very quick and I have complete respect for them and their line of work. All the best to those who make the right choice and hire them!! read more

The reviews are real -- these guys are fantastic. I've used them twice during the last year, once into storage and once into our new place a year later. These guys go the extra mile -- they couldn't get a dresser down the stairway because it was too big, so they hoisted it OUT OF THE WINDOW, to make sure we could get it out. It wasn't an ikea dresser and we were fine leaving it -- but they made sure they could get it out. Where do you see service like that? Never. They are also incredibly careful with your stuff, they packed all of our delicate kitchen ware and fragile items -- and after a year in storage when they moved them in and we unpacked -- not a thing was broken. I've recommended them to my sister and numerous friends. Moving sucks but hiring Z movers is the best decision you'll make. L read more

Z Movers did a remarkable job with their help in moving my heavier pieces of furniture from my old house to my new house. Of special note, was their excellent team work in determining the best way to lift a very heavy 360lb, 72" x 72" glass table top, from the driveway, up an exterior staircase, and into my new office above the garage. Three other moving companies declined to bid on this job because of their reluctance to move the glass. Z Movers did not back down from this challenge. They showed up, did the job, I now have a beautiful glass-topped desk in my office. Z Movers are really "the best". read more

Hired this moving company and only have the most positive of things to say about everyone with whom I engaged, from Katherine -- who helped plan the move -- to the movers themselves, who were conscientious, focused, and of good spirits. I appreciated the efficiency of the team and the thoughtful way they took care of my belongI had and addressed a few small matters that required some problem solving to make a few pieces fit through the door. I've moved a lot over the years, and therefore have experience that defines when I'm working with a high-quality team, and that's exactly what Z Movers is. I would quickly call them for my moving needs should I move again, and recommend them highly to anyone who is planning a move anytime soon. read more

I just hired Z Movers for two moves within 1 month and I cannot recommend them enough! This was my third and fourth times hiring Z Movers-- my first move with them was in 2015 and it was the easiest and most pleasant move of my life. Since that time, the company has continued to grow, and every new team member holds true to the company's original excellence. I have told countless friends and clients about this company and everyone reports the same stellar experiences to me. There was an issue that needed repaired at my home and I needed to move out entirely in order to deal with it. Moving twice in 4 weeks was really stressful, but Katherine, Gio, Raul, and Gabrielle made the experience an actual delight. They were all extremely careful, patient, attentive and kind. Nothing was damaged and everything went perfectly on my moving days. I will never use another moving company in LA. Z Movers for life!!! read more

Fact: the cost of my 1-bedroom move totaled to $1390. Fact: it took 2 movers 11.5 hours to move my 1 bedroom. Fact: my 1 bedroom was 640 square feet. I had 1 bedroom set, 1 living room set, no heavy items such as a piano, no fancy/antique delicate items. Fact: I moved 6.5 miles. Fact: There is 1 flight of stairs at one apartment and no flight of stairs (first floor) at new apartment. Fact: I ordered 3 movers with Kevin, but the company instead sent out 2 movers. I don't think it's necessary for me to bash this company. (I am willing, however, to edit this review and go into detail on any of these facts if they choose to respond to this review negatively or deny any of these facts.) I am just stating facts based on my experience with ZMovers that I would have liked to know when choosing a moving company. I would want to know if a 1-bedroom move would total over $500, and especially if it would total over $1000. I would want to know if a small 1-bedroom apartment move would take them more than 5 hours. I would want to know if what I request when scheduling the move (3 movers) will be fulfilled or not. I think we'd all want to know these things when choosing a moving company on Yelp. ~Adding a screenshot of the email they sent when confirming the appointment to prove I was in fact a customer. I also still have our invoice but not in digital form so I won't bother to add it. I don't have to identify myself by giving the owner the name I used to book our move (my husband's). I don't want anything from the company at this point. My intent is to share my unfortunate experience with others which I have a right to do. I also don't know the owner who responded. We worked with Kevin and unless Kevin has had many experiences similar to ours, he definitely knows who we are. Kevin knows that we ended up negotiating a lower total cost (still ridiculously high, but not as bad as $1390), so that is why the owner cannot find an invoice for $1390. The invoice does list the $1390 but then Kevin subtracted some $ to get us to what we finalized. It took us a long time on the phone with him to get the total down and his movers waited at our home until we agreed on a number, so even they would remember our experience. read more

These guys are the real deal. We're way too old to bribe our friends to help us move with beer and pizza, and there's no way we could've done this ourselves. Z Movers gave us the best moving experience ever! I've moved about 15 times, so I can confidently say that Z Movers Moving Company is the #1 best moving company in SoCal. Kevin was awesome and really knew what he was doing when planning the move-- he correctly estimated that we would need 4 movers over 2 days (whereas previous movers underestimated the amount of work that it would be). The moving crew was extremely polite, professional, and competent-- they each went above and beyond expectations. They also charged less than other moving companies, despite providing better services. We will definitely be hiring Z Movers in the future when we move again-- we are so appreciative and highly recommend them! read more

I honestly can not say enough good things about Z Movers, from setting up our appointment to actually getting everything moved in, it was all seamless! Moving can be a true nightmare, but everyone at Z Movers was especially helpful and made the day great. Our movers were Fernando and Gary and they did a fantastic job. Our furniture is SO heavy, but they got it out and in perfectly. They also informed me about getting a moving permit, something I would never have done had they not been so communicative. I had shopped around and their prices are super competitive and reasonable. I'm hoping not to have to move anytime soon, but if I do, I will definitely be booking Z Movers and referring them to everyone else. read more

I am not sure how this company has so many five star ratings because my experience was fairly terrible. -Setting up the appointment was quick, easy and efficient. However, everything went down hill from there -Scheduled an early appointment because I had to work within a pretty tight timeline. Appointment was set for 8:00am, great -Movers showed up 1.5 hours late -Packing, wrapping and moving felt pretty unprofessional. I had a lot of concerns with how they were handling my items. I could hear one of the movers simply tossing and dumping my stuff into their cart. This was happening while I was standing there so it makes me wonder how they handled my goods when I was not around -Unsurprising they damaged one of my lamps, plus had to quickly repair a small table leg that somehow came apart. Everything they moved went into storage so I have no idea if anything else broke along the way. By the time I find out, it will probably be too late -Their insurance policy is $0.60 per pound. So hypothetically if they broke your 20 lbs TV they will probably try to pay you $12.00. -Tried to over charge me by stating their 3 hour minimum was for work time only and did not include driving. I have used other companies before which always considered driving time as part of their minimum -Calculated the rate incorrectly, initially charging me more. Fortunately, I caught the error and did the math myself. Glad, I did not simply pay -As a means to make amends for damaging my belongings they allowed me to pay only the hours that I was quoted for and removed the deceptive extra hour up charge. So I ended up with damaged goods and essentially zero compensation. -Use caution with these movers, good luck if you choose to use them read more

Across the board, a fantastic moving experience. I didn't have a ton of stuff, but what stuff I did have was disorganized and not super well prepared. They came over within the expected time window, started a little early without extra charge, made sense of the chaos, and then got to work. Super friendly and happy to listen to my many picky requests and obscure warnings. The speed with which they wrapped up and protected certain objects I was very worried about getting dirty or damaging was incredible. Finished ahead of schedule and without complications. On top of all of this, they got my business to begin with because they quickly responded to my last-minute request for a quote and accommodated me when other businesses were too slow to respond or unavailable. I'm glad I went with Z Movers, and I absolutely will go to them next time! read more

Z Movers made our moving experience absolutely delightful. The whole day was a really awesome day thanks to their professional service. They showed up precisely on time, even texted that they could be earlier if we wanted. The crew immediately got to work professionally wrapping, rolling, and packing our items into their sharp-looking, clean truck. We had some odd-shaped statues and pieces that they really delicately approached, they were genuinely concerned about making sure things were carefully handled. They moved at the perfect pace, never ever haphazardly rushing, but never stopping... they were relocation machines! Through my day job in property management, I've seen hundreds of different moving companies in action. I've seen how they deal with customers, I've heard how they talk when they think nobody is listening. I've watched how they handle your stuff when your back is turned. When it came time to move my gf's items, I didn't hesitate in calling Peter, Kevin, and the Z Movers team. They have cultivated a crew of exceptional and honest employees who value integrity and taking pride in their work. There you go. You're done looking for movers! Congratulations! THIS IS MY GO TO MOVING COMPANY HANDS DOWN! I've used Z movers atleast 4 times now, I feel like they've almost seen me grow up lol. Every few years I move to a better apartment, they've been there for each move. And everytime my experience has been nothing short of amazing. Today Carlos and Gio ( Forgive me if I misspelled the name) were my movers. Both were super friendly, communicative and helpful. Z movers always help make the moving process easier. Every one is always straight to work, they waste no time and they get the job done. I have a 65" curve tv and each time they have moved my tv, there has never been any damage. All of my furniture is always wrapped, padded and protected perfectly. I don't use any other company because this is the only one that I trust with my valuables. Also there are never any surprise fee's. Normally I can estimate just about how many hrs it will take and how much I'll spend. Today I spent less than I thought I would and they also offer a client loyalty discount which is super helpful. I will be back again! read more
