Snowy Village is one of the closest Korean style bingsoo place in Guildford, Surrey area. I love going their with my friends when we are craving for sweets in the summer. They have locations all over surrey, Burnaby and Vancouver too! Their regular size bingsoo are perfect to share between 2 people. The matcha bingsoo super nice and sweet with red bean past, mochi and matcha sponge cake toppings! Love that they have ice cream in the middle too As for the injeolmi mochi toast, it's double layers of toast is grilled to perfection with crushed almonds, korean style toppings, and my favourite .. the super melty mochi filling! I'm not typically a fan of shaved ice but the options and the way it is made at Snowy Village won me over. Had the Oreo and the Cheesecake and they were Both delicious. The small seems pricey but once you get it huge and definitely worth it.

This store is located adjacent to the T & T store and there are plenty of parking spots available. Just like all the other locations, they only accept cash. Their bingsoo and taiyaki, however, are the best. The bingsoo is made of condensed milk and is very fluffy. Their taiyaki are hot and crunchy on the outside and stuffed with gooey innards. I suggested getting both and then adding a scoop of the bingsoo on top of the hot taiyaki.

I was disappointed in the green tea bingsoo. I was expecting green tea shaved ice or ice cream in the middle not just matcha powder on top.

After all the rage from family and friends... and all the lovely tasty photos, i finally made it out to snowy village. It was good. You can't really go wrong with bingsoo.... However, I was disappointed in the green tea bingsoo though. I was expecting green tea shaved ice or green tea ice cream in the middle not just matcha powder shake on top. Matcha and mochi bingsoo may be a better fitting name. Lol (I love my green tea ice cream)

Well bingsoo is bingsoo. I didn't have much but it's really good haha. I just went to eat it for the picture honestly. I wanted to go home and nap.

One of my favourite mango dessert places lately. However, this location did not have any mango available so we settled with green tea bingsoo. It was good but not as amazing as the mango. There was rice cake and red bean included in the green tea version. This location is located in the same plaza as T&T Supermarket and is a few stores down from Bubble World. Plenty of free parking available on the plaza.

Went on a Monday evening, the place was pretty busy. We ordered the watermelon bingsoo. Omgoshh it was the most refreshing thing I've ever tasted! It taste like summer!! I would def recommend getting it. And the shaved ice was nothing like i ever tasted. It melted perfectly and went perfectly well with the watermelon fruit. I thought it would be too sweet but it wasn't, it was the right amount. Would def come back!!

Tray as served with mango strawberry yoghurt shaved ice. Large size. Plenty for three of us.

First time at snowy village after a recommendation from my son. Was Not disappointed. They are certainly adapt at premium desert offerings. I thought to myself if I was working there I would be 100lbs heavier. They have a reasonable amount of friendly fruit choces (mango, strawberry blueberries, watermelon) which you can have separately or mixed as you like. TIP: It doesn't show mixed fruit on the menu but you can ask for it. The deserts are medium and large. We ordered the large mango with strawberry and shaved ice with yogurt. It was definitely enough for three of us, as an after meal desert. The taste was to die for. The was plenty of mango and strawberry with a mountain of yogurt shaved ice. It was not over filling and melted nicely in your mouth. It was a cry good balance. They also provided some additional creamy mix on the side should you want extra ouvour after the fruit is finished. We had fruit right down to the last scoop. This is my new favorite desert location that I will be frequenting to sample their other offerings.

The server was rude. He didn't let us eat portion of our pick up even I give sufficient tip on the bill. Don't want to come back again.

The restaurant is beautiful with both Indian and Japanese design sensibilities. They have a table service restaurant with both high tea and an extensive a la carte menu, and it looks like you can also buy mithai in bulk. The food isn't really Japanese-Indian fusion as you might expect, but more like Japanese impression of Indian food, if that makes sense? There's a few hints of Japanese and Asian influence, but the menu is mostly modern Indian. All vegetarian. There's no vegan or gluten free options for afternoon tea, but the a la carte menu includes many clearly labeled vegan and GF dishes. I wanted to try the afternoon tea set to get a wide sampling of their offerings. The set included: corn spinach puff, paneer tikka slider, cream cheese cucumber sandwich, samosa, chutneys for dipping, manchurian skewers, orange cranberry scone with whipped cream, rose rasmalai cake, dodha crunch, motichoor cheesecake parfait, and the choice between masala chai, coffee, or hot/iced caffe latte. It's $32/person for the set, which is a great price. I also appreciated that it was possible to order the set for just one person since it seems like many teahouses will only do it for 2+ people. I thought all of the items in the set were pretty good, and there was a balance between the sweet and savoury items. The only things that really left anything to be desired were that the scone was a bit dry and crumbly, and I thought the tandoori paneer could have been more flavourful. In general the flavours of the savoury items were a bit more subtle than in typical authentic Indian food, but for the most part it didn't come across as bland to me, just a different take on it. The standouts in the set were: the paneer slider - even if the paneer itself didn't impress, I loved the almost flaky texture of the pav - the manchurian, and the rose rasmalai cake. Also, the cream cheese cucumber sandwich had cilantro or chutney or something in the cream cheese which made it much more interesting than the plain version of this sandwich. The masala chai (my chosen drink) was also very good. It was served in a pot that contained 2 small servings. My waiter was very friendly and stopped by a few times to check in. When I was done eating and wanted my bill, it was easy to get his attention. I visited at what seemed like a quiet time so I didn't have much competition for attention. One thing that I thought was odd was when he gave me the machine to pay, there was no tip option - it would be cool if they had a no-tip policy, but I never saw any mention of it, so I wonder if he accidentally bypassed the tip when putting in my charge. It was an interesting and very pleasant experience. I was so curious about this place that I made a trip out from Vancouver just to try it (and couldn't get anyone willing to go to Surrey for afternoon tea with me, hence the afternoon tea order for one), and it was worth the trip!

We were pleasantly surprised that they offer guests access to their full drink menu including their specials. Ube matcha was good, but had a hint of cinnamon which we could have gone without. The matcha mango was also good. The blackberry lavender matcha was too floral for our liking. However, eventually you get used to it and then it becomes more enjoyable. The pandesals were super fresh and we loved both the ube and strawberry butters that came with it. I wish that they came a bit warmer, so that the butters could have melted a touch. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. I especially loved the arugula on the mozerella sandwich. The blackberry brie sandwich could have used a touch more brie, but was still delicious. The cheesecakes were good, but a bit too sweet. The strawberry was my favorite. I enjoyed tasting multiple flavors. Their red velvet cupcake was extremely moist. The pistachio malasada was cute and flavorful. The filling to pastry ratio was good. I think that the experience could have been better balanced if there were a few more savory items. One thing that we noticed was that all of the pastries including the malasada were cold. I can understand that there are some food safe requirements that need to be met in how desserts are stored. However, letting them sit out for even 20-30 minutes before consumption would have been better.
