This is one of the best Bing su Korean shaved ice places in the area. (My other favorite is Sul and Beans in Cupertino). The fruit is fresh and sweet and they include a lot of it. I just wish they added mochi to the sweet sunset shaved ice, the. It would be perfect for me! They gave me a free birthday sundae to redeem for this whole month which was a cup of vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. Service was quick and there were plenty of tables to sit at, not too crowded. They have a nice air conditioned area to sit in.
Once again, another perfect ending to a Saturday with snowtime. Service is fast and friendly and the shaved ice is always perfect. Portions are huge and prices are fair. Parking can be a little tough, but just be patient. A perfect summer evening treat.

Super cute dessert spot with several fun bingsoo combinations to try. We tried the Sweet Sunset (strawberry and mango) snow and the Biscoff Cheesecake snow in the small size (~$11 each) which was a perfect amount to share between 2 people. Each came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and condensed milk on top. Both were tasty and not too sweet, but the Biscoff Cheesecake one was definitely my favorite as someone with a sweet tooth. Would've loved to try the Dubai chocolate and strawberry snow! There is a self-ordering kiosk to browse the menu that also consisted of milk/fruit teas, matcha lattes, and taiyakis with a variety of fillings and soft serve flavor options. A bit more toppings and condensed milk would've been nice, but overall I enjoyed it and would return!
First of all, the space is adorable. Minty teal walls, cute graphics, bright lighting. It's clean, modern, and photogenic. Espres-Snow (2/5) Visually pretty but I have some thoughts on taste. There were SO many toppings. Like... aggressively generous. Coffee jelly, cheesecake bites, almond cereal, ice cream. I saw looking forward to more actual snowy ice than toppings. it kind of got buried. And the coffee flavor, I was expecting a bold espresso punch. Instead, it leaned very sweet and milky. more dessert latte than coffee-forward. If you like sugary coffee drinks, you'll enjoy it. I just wanted more depth and bitterness to balance everything. Berry Mochi 3/5 (Friend got this "usually it's better) This one was pretty!! The strawberries look fresh! Taiyaki (plain) 2.5/5 Not super memorable unfortunately =/ also not super aesthetically pleasing. Is the cut outs supposed to look like that? Ambience: 5/5 Super cute date spot or girls' night dessert run.. Lots of seating. Overall 3/5 If you love loaded, sweet, Instagram-style shaved snow with ALL the toppings (this is your place)! If you're someone who prefers more ice, less chaos, and a stronger flavor base (especially for coffee)... you might want to ask for lighter toppings or reduced sweetness (if possible)?
I love snowtime!! I've tried several different snows here and they're all so delicious. Most recently I tried the biscoff cheesecake and it was amazing! It's very biscoff forward and kind of reminds me of cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk. Their snows can be sweet so I appreciate the complimentary water cups they provide. The taiyaki are great too!! Staff are chill, there's seating inside and outside, and it's cute inside! They had a promotion where you spend $20 and get a free pin too which was nice.
I really enjoy this spot because the portions are much smaller than traditional bingsoo, making it perfect when you're craving something sweet without committing to a huge serving. It's also great for sharing a few different flavors with friends. On this visit, I ordered the Strawberry Mango Snow with extra condensed milk. Both were refreshing, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The fruit tasted fresh, and the extra condensed milk added the perfect amount of richness to every bite. Ordering was quick and convenient through the self-service kiosk, and our desserts were ready within just a few minutes. The process was smooth and efficient, making it an easy place to stop by for a quick treat. Another thing I appreciated was the spacious seating area. There was plenty of room to sit and chat, making it a great spot to catch up with friends over dessert. The toppings on the snow dessert were generous and complemented the shaved ice perfectly. Overall, if you're looking for a lighter, more manageable portion of bingsoo that still delivers on flavor, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Snowtime is so underrated! It's tucked away in Campbell, but if you're ever in the area, you need to give this spot a try! They serve a variety of drinks, taiyaki, and snow ice. The snow ice here is super soft and they do not skimp on the toppings! There is a huge variety, but my current favorite is the Strawberry Cheesecake one :) The peach lychee tea is also very refreshing. I got it 50% sweet with Lychee Jelly and it was the perfect afternoon treat. If you're not feeling something sweet, they have some savory taiyaki options too :) I really liked the pesto! The staff is super kind. Feel free to ask them for suggestions if you're unsure. They have a ton of seating and free wifi, so you could easily work here if you wanted to as well! Highly recommend!
More like 3.5 I've visited this shop 3 times in 2 weeks, this review is solely for the milk tea and mini taiyaki from my visits. - Jan 30: The first experience was to try the peach tea with mini taiyaki. The drink was perfectly made, and the taiyaki was warm, great filling ratio. I love nutella, cheese, and the blueberry cream cheese inside! My friend enjoyed her strawberry milk as well! So much that I came back a couple days later with my boyfriend. - Feb 2nd: Different worker made our taiyaki, I think he overfilled it so some of them had burnt pieces due to the filling coming out and getting onto the hot grill. One of the taiyaki was tore in half so it had no filling.. and when I bit into another one, there was no filling at all (please see photo). Lastly the thai tea was ok, super milkyyyyyy though - Feb 4th: My friend wanted a drink so I got her a matcha latte and she said it was good! Our brown sugar boba was ok. Very milky but the brown sugar boba was really yummy and soft. Overall, I wanted to really like this place but it's pretty inconsistent with whoever is working! I'd love to try their bingsu some other time
I'm leaving another review because I've come to enjoy this place more and more over time. We've tried almost all the bingsu's, the matchas, and of course the ice cream. My favorites are the ube soft serve with the custard, the strawberry or biscoff bingsu, and the strawberry matcha. Although, honestly you can't go wrong with anything here! One anecdote I felt I HAD to share from earlier today: my wife's dad tried a bingsu for the first time ever, and he rarely eats desserts, but he fell in LOVE. The bingsu was so good it opened him up to an entirely new cuisine, and for that alone this deserves 6/5 stars!! Also Sara, the owner, has to be one of the sweetest and friendliest people I've ran into when going out for food. We're very happy to run into her when she's working. I hope Snowtime gets everything it deserves, it's easily my favorite local family owned business!
We were craving something sweet after lunch in Santa Cruz, so we stopped here in our way back home. We really loved their Korean shaved ice (BINGSU). I ordered a small berry mochi and my husband ordered the small caramel apple. We placed our order at the front kiosk and found a place to sit. I'd say it took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. The berry mochi was so delicious and refreshing. It came with chopped strawberries, strawberry purée, mochi's and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the fluffy snow. The snow just melts in your mouth. What I love about this dessert is that it is not overly sweet. It sure hit the spot. My husband loved his caramel apple snow. It was chopped fresh apples, sliced almonds with graham cracker crumbs and a caramel sauce with cinnamon all on top of the snow. I tasted it and it was very good. It's really cutely decorated inside with plenty of seating options. I look forward to returning.
Really good bingsoo place! The injeolmi and black sesame ones are 10/10. The small size is good for two people, and the regular size is good for 3-4 people. I'm not sure about the large size. I like that the pink soup is not too sweet and overwhelming with toppings. There was a good amount of mochi, powder, condensed milk, etc. I like that. They also layer the toppings at different level levels so that you're not left eating just shaved milk at the bottom. The taiyaki are also really good. Arguably I like it better than Somi Somi the mini ones are especially good if you want to try all the flavors. The ambience is casual and good for loud conversations and catching up with friends.
I've been here a couple of times, back when they first opened in the 23 and just recently...a few days ago Snowtime is a small family owned chain with three locations; they started out in Arizona. This is the only one in California. Their specialty is bingsu (Korean Shaved Ice). Parking can be a bit challenging, the storefront is a retail space under an apartment complex / condo building. No issues with service, staff were friendly and informative. #Bingsu: ~ MATCHA LOVE - 4.5/5 Just about a perfect Matcha Bingsu. Not too bitter or too sweet. The Red Bean paste was not too heavy and the Ice Cream was very good. The Mochi pieces were soft and supple. ~ STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE - 4.5/5 I'm not usually much of a Strawberry Dessert fan, but this was brilliant. Everything was excellent; form the Cheesecake to the sweet and ripe Strawberries. Not too sweet. ~ GOLDEN DUST - 4.5/5 Over the years I've grown fond of this flovor; konggaru (콩가루) in Korean: A roasted soybean powder that has a nutty and savory-sweet flavor. Very well done. The Red Bean paste was not too heavy and the the Mochi pieces were soft and supple. The Almond Slices were a nice touch as well. Good stuff... Now I just need to get around to trying other items on the menu.

we ordered the regular berry mochi bingsu and it was soooo good. The mochi pairs so well with the bingsu. We were a bit sad that they didn't give condensed milk on the side but we still thoroughly enjoyed the bingsu. I will say that it was a busy peak when we walked in so our order did end up taking a while to make and receive but I will say it was worth the wait. We prefer to save the fruit flavored items like Sweet Sunset for the spring and summer months when berries and mangoes are in season and flavorful. Initial impressions: - spacious store ambiance - lots of seating, high chairs for toddlers - love that they have a filtered water fountain Food: - ordered Injeolmi shaved snow, but you couldn't really taste anything except the toppings. There was not enough roasted soybean powder. - taiyaki: red bean tastes homemade and is not too sweet which was perfect. Custard version was lacking a bit as it was more milky/runny and not custard-like. Service: - asked for more injeolmi powder, but was told it would be extra cost. Manager didn't seem to keen on the feedback/request, but they did provide condensed milk to up the flavor. Overall 2.5/5: this joint meets the needs of the market (it's popular) and they'll continue to do well, but probably wouldn't go back myself. Most people order the fruity and decadent flavors which probably is in their wheelhouse. As for Injeolmi, they need to amp up the flavor (wouldn't pass if located on El Camino/Koreatown) read more
One of my favorite dessert places in south San Jose!! Snowtime serves Asian desserts in Campbell and is (relatively) new. I find a lot of places that serve Bingsu have very big portions, so I love that this place has the option for smaller ones. I also like the fact that you can personalize them. I got a strawberry bingsu and added lychee jelly to it, and I've honestly been thinking about it ever since I had it. I ordered a matcha love via doordash, and it was ready within 5 minutes! I was surprised by how much flavor was packed and how big this dessert was even though I ordered a small and its the smallest of the three sizes (small, regular, large). Between the layers of shaved ice, they put layers of matcha powder and or some condensed milk and it made every bite so tasty. I added on lychee jelly for an extra 75 cents and overall, for ~$11, I think this dessert was totally worth it! My husband and I shared the one small and I think it was just right. There were a lot of other tasty looking shaved ice combos that looked really fun, so I'll have to come back to try it! Looking forward to bringing friends here, especially since the summer is coming up! read more

Snowtime, why are you so good that I went twice in one week? I went on one day and then I went again the next day lol. I absolutely love the shaved snow with the strawberries, mochi and ice cream! It totally hits the spots on a nice hot day. There's AC on full blast and lots of seating inside. The staff is very friendly and nice and answered any questions that I had. If you have the feeling of loading up on lots of sweets, get the regular size shaved snow and it is big! But if you can't handle it, I would recommend the smaller size. Snowtime has other desserts like refreshing iced drinks, soft serve ice cream, regular ice cream and of course the shaved snow. I cannot wait to come back to try their other menu items because everything I have tried so far has been absolutely delicious! read more
One of my favorite dessert spots in the Bay! The Bingsu here is so so good! The snow itself is so soft, light, melty, and creamy. It's so addictive. I personally really like the mango mango snow and tira miss you, but am dying to try their other flavors. There is a great balance of flavor and texture in each shaved ice, and I think the small size is perfect for sharing between two, or a bigger dessert for one! I also tried the ube vanilla swirl here which was delicious, as well as the mini taiyaki. My favorite mini taiyaki flavor is the blueberry cream cheese. Make sure to eat these fresh! The mango matcha latte I tried here was also good. Been here twice and the owner is always working! She's super sweet and brings out the desserts to your table. Do you know... The Muffin Man??? Or.. I mean, The snowman. When people say that you eat with your eyes first, really took advantage of that at this dessert spot. Snowtime is a pretty big store, but unfortunately there isn't an abundance of seating arrangements which leaves a lot of empty space inside. There was no line, and it was not busy at all (I wonder why). Ordering was quick and it came out fast, but I felt as though I was being featured on an Episode of Catfished from MTV. My I can't even remember what we decided to order, but I do not recommend the ice cream stuff here. My friend and I were so disgusted that when we re reference it as the, "Sh*tty dessert place" the the taiyaki must haven't been that great either because I didn't remember that I had ordered it. The only reason I remember im able too recall ordering them is because of the picture I took. Yummy yummy in my tummy. I just came back from Korea and this place is surprisingly pretty authentic. The Taiyaki bun with red bean filling tasted exactly like it would in Korea. The snow shaved ice was light and refreshing. Overall, I enjoyed coming here and the ambiance was pretty cool too. Their decor is a Tiffany blue color and they even had a matching coffee machine. it's pretty spacious inside too. Also, I like the fact that It is a melting pot of different ethnicities, everyone loves this place! It was packed! read more

I love that Snowtime has both boba and bingsoo! I've come a few times and this is one of the few bingsoo spots that has a smaller size where people can have their own since most bingsoos are huge and people usually have to share. I've tried the strawberry latte drink and several of the bingsoos. I wasn't a big fan of the black sesame bingsoo but have liked the matcha and mango bingsoo that I've tried. The only downside is that parking can get a little difficult at times, but usually I'm able to get a spot after waiting for a bit. I recommend this place to get your dessert fix. read more

Loved the strawberry and mochi bingsu! It was not overtly sweet and the ice was soft and fluffy. It came out to around $20 for a large after taxes and tip but it goes to support a mom-daughter chain that is killing it! Highly recommend it! I like how they offer three different sizes for shaved ice. If you just want a little one for yourself or a big one to share (or for yourself), you have those options. I got the caramel apple shaved ice and it was delicious. There was plenty of diced apples on top, and the caramel flavor bleeds through all layers of the shaved ice. The ice cream scoop on top was cold but soft enough to cut through with a spoon. The staff was very nice and allergen conscious. It's shops like this that makes me want to have shaved ice even in January! read more
Nice clean interior with indoor tables. Employees were friendly and quick. I got the taiyaki in a cup: vanilla/ube soft serve, custard for taiyaki filling, and oreo crumbs and pocky as my 2 included toppings. Love that pocky was an option! My friend got the regular taiyaki bun with Nutella filling. I enjoyed my taiyaki and soft serve. I will say that the ube tasted a lot more like taro than ube, and had that artificially sweet taro flavor. My taiyaki was pretty good. I tried my friend's taiyaki with nutella that came out piping hot and loved it. I do prefer it when it's hot (goes especially well with the cold soft serve imo) so in the future I'd probably get just the soft serve in the cup, then a separate taiyaki on the side so I can get the hot taiyaki. Had a great experience here! Service is quick and friendly. Not many fruit options for bingsu, so expect more powder-based flavors like injeolmi or matcha. I got the Golden Dust, which was DELICIOUS! I liked the texture of the ice and the milkiness. Very creamy, but still light. They do not skimp on the red bean!!! Wow, they were generous. mochi and almonds were a good touch. read more
This place was great! Their menu had a good amount of options to choose from, and the strawberry and mango flavors especially caught my eye. They give HUGE portions for such a good price! The large by itself could definitely be enough for a small family. My dessert was DELICIOUS. The right amount of toppings, the shaved snow was perfect, the balance of flavors was perfect, and to top it all off, the service was quick. I love how unique the menu items at Snowtime are. This is definitely the place for dessert lovers with an especially sweet tooth. I got the Tira-miss-you snow. It was a great combination of chocolate ice cream and actual tiramisu pieces, topped with chocolate sauce and a strawberry. It was nicely packed to go. The service was friendly, though it was quite packed at the time I visited, about half an hour before closing on a weekday, which was unexpected. The ordering process was quite easy, though, and you receive a buzzer that notifies you when your order is ready. read more

An okay dessert place. The shave snow was kinda bland to be honest, the only parts that tasted good were the ice cream and Oreos. I've had a lot of other shaved snow before where the snow is covered in sauce but this place really only had it around the inside of the cup. Service is fine, they have one of those electric menu boards that you can place your own order at which is always nice. Very minimal seating inside however, which , with all the space you think would not be an issue. Lots of standing room though lol read more

This is my father's favorite dessert spot and he is always begging to go every time I come home! Last time we ordered the matcha love (comes with red bean, mochi, and matcha ice cream) but decided to try their golden dust this time. After ordering at the self-serve kiosk, it only takes about 10 minutes for the dessert to arrive. It is quite hefty, although we were able to split a large between two people. The almond toppings provided a nice crunch, and the soft tender mochi blended well with the ice and ice cream. The ice cream has a subtle sweetness to it, which I liked because ice cream is usually too sugary for me. The ice itself also has a milk flavor to it, and within layers of ice are drizzles of what tasted like honey. It gave the ice great taste, so it didn't feel like I was eating a snow cone. I am a huge fan of matcha, but the golden dust definitely took me by surprise and I would order it again. Tips: - If you are looking to split, feel free to use the complimentary water cups as individual bowls - If you ask my father, he would say to add condensed milk on top! read more

I found out about Snowtime through a Facebook video, and as soon as I saw it, I showed it to my boyfriend and we both knew we had to make the trip from Hayward just to try it! Their menu online had so many amazing dessert and drink options, but what really caught my eye was the Espresso Snow. I'm a bit of a picky eater and just wasn't fond of the toppings that originally came with it. But fortunately, they allow you to remove up to three toppings from their specialty snows. The Espresso Snow comes with four toppings, so I removed three but had no choice but to leave the coffee jelly. When we got to the shop, I ordered on the kiosk, and to my surprise (and happiness!), my order came without the coffee jelly! Not sure if the owner forgot or just figured I didn't want any toppings, but it worked out perfectly for me! Another thing I love is that you can add your own toppings for a small charge. I customized mine by adding Oreo crumbs and maraschino cherries, and it was so worth it! Now, onto the best part--the first bite was amazing!!! I wasn't expecting so much Oreo crumb topping, and I definitely wasn't expecting it to be layered like a cake. The texture of the shaved ice was perfect, and the best part? It took me around 30-40 minutes to eat, and it didn't melt! It stayed flavorful the entire time, and the portion size was so worth the price. My partner and I were very impressed by how slow it melted so we ended up taking two regular sized snows to-go! Cute little place to grab dessert after dinner on date night. Service was fairly quick; you place an order at the front and you are handed a pager/buzzer thing to retrieve your order when it's ready. We got to try the matcha snow and omg this may be one of the best shaved ice dessert I have ever had so far. The shaved ice/snow was made very well; very fluffy and smooth that it almost reminded me of cotton candy. The flavor or the match was perfect, not too overpowering. I also really enjoyed the red bean and pieces of mochi b/c it adds a fun texture. Their snows are very shareable or you can have it all to yourself! A wonderful shop that is owned by a mother/daughter duo I went for an event and returned to buy some more of their red bean fish! Lots of options for the family, from shaved ice to red bean fish taiyaki. I haven't tried their drinks but they do have many customizable options! read more
