Just discovered Snowtime and we were pleasantly surprised to have a Taiyaki place so close! The place is very simple in decor. The A/C was blasting so it was a bit cold eating our soft serve but it's better than being hot! The taro soft serve was good, a little more tart than I'm used to but good! The Taiyaki was freshly made. I would have liked more custard but I'll know next time to ask. Toppings were ok, the coconut and almonds would be much better toasted. The Black Sesame was inert but gave it texture. The banana latte was delicious! Creamy on top, mild coffee flavor, and the banana came through nicely. Big cup also! We'll definitely be back!
Got the Sweet Sunset that had mango and strawberry. Comes with ice cream on top which is nice. Ice is nice and fine. A small was a good size for two people.
Tried this place for the first time and everything we got was really good! We got the specialty snow in these flavors: call me mango, berry mochi and the black sesame. The snow is super fine and the toppings and syrup are not overly sweet but had a lot of flavor. The fruits are fresh and tasty. We also got the taiyaki and the texture is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. My favorite one was the savory pesto cheese. The saltiness of the cheese went really well with the light sweetness of the waffle batter. The blueberry cream cheese is my second favorite. Again, it's flavorful without being too sweet. We'll be back for sure to try the other stuff!
This is one of the best Bing su Korean shaved ice places in the area. (My other favorite is Sul and Beans in Cupertino). The fruit is fresh and sweet and they include a lot of it. I just wish they added mochi to the sweet sunset shaved ice, the. It would be perfect for me! They gave me a free birthday sundae to redeem for this whole month which was a cup of vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. Service was quick and there were plenty of tables to sit at, not too crowded. They have a nice air conditioned area to sit in.

Super cute dessert spot with several fun bingsoo combinations to try. We tried the Sweet Sunset (strawberry and mango) snow and the Biscoff Cheesecake snow in the small size (~$11 each) which was a perfect amount to share between 2 people. Each came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and condensed milk on top. Both were tasty and not too sweet, but the Biscoff Cheesecake one was definitely my favorite as someone with a sweet tooth. Would've loved to try the Dubai chocolate and strawberry snow! There is a self-ordering kiosk to browse the menu that also consisted of milk/fruit teas, matcha lattes, and taiyakis with a variety of fillings and soft serve flavor options. A bit more toppings and condensed milk would've been nice, but overall I enjoyed it and would return!
Once again, another perfect ending to a Saturday with snowtime. Service is fast and friendly and the shaved ice is always perfect. Portions are huge and prices are fair. Parking can be a little tough, but just be patient. A perfect summer evening treat.
First of all, the space is adorable. Minty teal walls, cute graphics, bright lighting. It's clean, modern, and photogenic. Espres-Snow (2/5) Visually pretty but I have some thoughts on taste. There were SO many toppings. Like... aggressively generous. Coffee jelly, cheesecake bites, almond cereal, ice cream. I saw looking forward to more actual snowy ice than toppings. it kind of got buried. And the coffee flavor, I was expecting a bold espresso punch. Instead, it leaned very sweet and milky. more dessert latte than coffee-forward. If you like sugary coffee drinks, you'll enjoy it. I just wanted more depth and bitterness to balance everything. Berry Mochi 3/5 (Friend got this "usually it's better) This one was pretty!! The strawberries look fresh! Taiyaki (plain) 2.5/5 Not super memorable unfortunately =/ also not super aesthetically pleasing. Is the cut outs supposed to look like that? Ambience: 5/5 Super cute date spot or girls' night dessert run.. Lots of seating. Overall 3/5 If you love loaded, sweet, Instagram-style shaved snow with ALL the toppings (this is your place)! If you're someone who prefers more ice, less chaos, and a stronger flavor base (especially for coffee)... you might want to ask for lighter toppings or reduced sweetness (if possible)?
I love snowtime!! I've tried several different snows here and they're all so delicious. Most recently I tried the biscoff cheesecake and it was amazing! It's very biscoff forward and kind of reminds me of cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk. Their snows can be sweet so I appreciate the complimentary water cups they provide. The taiyaki are great too!! Staff are chill, there's seating inside and outside, and it's cute inside! They had a promotion where you spend $20 and get a free pin too which was nice.
Snowtime is so underrated! It's tucked away in Campbell, but if you're ever in the area, you need to give this spot a try! They serve a variety of drinks, taiyaki, and snow ice. The snow ice here is super soft and they do not skimp on the toppings! There is a huge variety, but my current favorite is the Strawberry Cheesecake one :) The peach lychee tea is also very refreshing. I got it 50% sweet with Lychee Jelly and it was the perfect afternoon treat. If you're not feeling something sweet, they have some savory taiyaki options too :) I really liked the pesto! The staff is super kind. Feel free to ask them for suggestions if you're unsure. They have a ton of seating and free wifi, so you could easily work here if you wanted to as well! Highly recommend!
More like 3.5 I've visited this shop 3 times in 2 weeks, this review is solely for the milk tea and mini taiyaki from my visits. - Jan 30: The first experience was to try the peach tea with mini taiyaki. The drink was perfectly made, and the taiyaki was warm, great filling ratio. I love nutella, cheese, and the blueberry cream cheese inside! My friend enjoyed her strawberry milk as well! So much that I came back a couple days later with my boyfriend. - Feb 2nd: Different worker made our taiyaki, I think he overfilled it so some of them had burnt pieces due to the filling coming out and getting onto the hot grill. One of the taiyaki was tore in half so it had no filling.. and when I bit into another one, there was no filling at all (please see photo). Lastly the thai tea was ok, super milkyyyyyy though - Feb 4th: My friend wanted a drink so I got her a matcha latte and she said it was good! Our brown sugar boba was ok. Very milky but the brown sugar boba was really yummy and soft. Overall, I wanted to really like this place but it's pretty inconsistent with whoever is working! I'd love to try their bingsu some other time
I'm leaving another review because I've come to enjoy this place more and more over time. We've tried almost all the bingsu's, the matchas, and of course the ice cream. My favorites are the ube soft serve with the custard, the strawberry or biscoff bingsu, and the strawberry matcha. Although, honestly you can't go wrong with anything here! One anecdote I felt I HAD to share from earlier today: my wife's dad tried a bingsu for the first time ever, and he rarely eats desserts, but he fell in LOVE. The bingsu was so good it opened him up to an entirely new cuisine, and for that alone this deserves 6/5 stars!! Also Sara, the owner, has to be one of the sweetest and friendliest people I've ran into when going out for food. We're very happy to run into her when she's working. I hope Snowtime gets everything it deserves, it's easily my favorite local family owned business!
We were craving something sweet after lunch in Santa Cruz, so we stopped here in our way back home. We really loved their Korean shaved ice (BINGSU). I ordered a small berry mochi and my husband ordered the small caramel apple. We placed our order at the front kiosk and found a place to sit. I'd say it took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. The berry mochi was so delicious and refreshing. It came with chopped strawberries, strawberry purée, mochi's and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the fluffy snow. The snow just melts in your mouth. What I love about this dessert is that it is not overly sweet. It sure hit the spot. My husband loved his caramel apple snow. It was chopped fresh apples, sliced almonds with graham cracker crumbs and a caramel sauce with cinnamon all on top of the snow. I tasted it and it was very good. It's really cutely decorated inside with plenty of seating options. I look forward to returning.
Solid bingsoo spot in the bay. I've been to the other two popular Korean bingsoo chains. This one isn't particularly different but the flavors are good, I like how they have varying sizes available. They also have boba and other Asian/asian inspired desserts. The bingsoo came out fairly quick. The cafe itself is super cute! I will definitely be back this summer! read more

We managed to get here in time before the rush. There is only one kiosk for ordering so the wait may be a while when it's busy. We ordered the cookie butter bingsoo and a strawberry soft serve with coconut jellies and mochi bits on top. It was good and the ice cream was incredibly creamy compared to other soft serve places in the area. The bingsoo was good too but nothing better than other bingsoo places in the area. The place is small so it may be hard to get a table inside when it's busy, especially if you're more than a group of 4. Luckily, there's outdoor seating in the courtyard of the shopping center. read more
These desserts are amazing. The golden dust bingsu is the best dessert. With the red bean, roasted soy bean powder, mochi, almonds, ice cream, and shaved ice, Snowtime has created a bowl of flavorful character and joy. The custard taiyaki is also incredibly executed. Their molten custard was somehow magically contained in the crispiest taiyaki I have ever had. There's real talent in their kitchen. The staff is polite and generous, answering any questions I had. My desserts were speedily delivered to me. The place is immaculately clean, with plenty of tables for people to chat. Inside, it's quiet enough to read a book. There's a pretty courtyard not far either. I'd recommend Snowtime to anyone wanting to be in an immediate good mood. Thank you so much! read more
Walk into a nice cool space with pretty blue chairs to relax and enjoy an icy treat on a hot day. We were promptly served at the counter and received our goodies just a couple minutes after we ordered. We loved the Oreo snow ice. It was not too sweet and a good size. Some of the snow ice places are humongous portions that you cannot finish but this one was just the right size. The taiyaki was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and came out piping hot. Definitely agree with all the reviews that say the shaved ice is soft as snow. Definitely melts in your mouth and the toppings and sauces were not too sweet. My partner and I got the tiramisyouuu and should have opted for the medium instead of small. The fluffy ice definitely makes it seem more than it actually is. Overall, nice spot for bingsu and would come again to try the other flavors. read more

Can't believe I've never we reviewed Snowtime before. Been coming here for a while now. Today we came to try the matcha specials. The taiyaki was really good. Lots of filling and perfectly crisp on the outside. The matcha affogato was so good I ended up getting a second one! The rest of the family got their usuals. All really good. The bingsu here is especially good since they layer in the toppings. Always a great bite! read more
My husband and I have been to Snowtime many times; it's definitely time for a review. Firstly the Taiyaki (pastry fish filled with sweet and savory fillings) are our favorites. My husband loves the Nutella and I love pretty much all of them. We've had the blueberry cream cheese, custard, red bean, and the savor ones. All are freshly made and decadent, We've also had their boba and love the peach lychee green tea and the strawberry milk tea. The boba is perfect- not too hard or soft. This spot has really good bingsoo! The small is perfect for one serving and it's loaded with toppings. They also have taiyaki and soft serve so plenty of variety to meet everyone's cravings! There were a good amount of spots to sit indoors to enjoy your desserts. read more
As soon as you walk through the door, it's Snowtime! The shop is charming and owner Sara is ready to wow. Snowtime is great place to grab taiyaki with a date or share bingsu with family. The shop is light and airy, and the warm, buttery smell of baking taiyaki fills the air. Even in the winter, Snowtime is filled with customers' chit-chat and soft laughter. I came in with family and ordered a berry mochi. The dessert was ready after a little while, and I was eager to dig in. Strawberry shortcake in bingsu form--that's what came to mind as I took the first bite of my berry mochi bingsu. This treat was a mix of sweet strawberries and soft mochi all over smooth shaved ice, topped with a drizzle of condensed milk and a scoop of creamy ice cream. Delightful! Sara came over to see how we were doing, and her attention to her customers was a wonderful touch. My good mood? It's thanks to Snowtime, and I'm definitely coming back for more. read more

The perfect dessert/boba cafe! They have many different treats here - snow (shaved ice), taiyaki, ice cream, boba. We got two of their snows - tiramisu and strawberry/mango (sweet sunset) and a matcha soft serve. The fruits are very fresh! There are many tables inside and they have water available (self service) with paper cups. They have many dairy free options available. read more
I've come here a couple of times and it's finally time I leave them a review! Out of all the shaved ice places I've been to in this area, I actually think the texture of the snow here is the best! It's so silky topped with fruits and ice cream! It reminds me of my favorite shaved ice I had in Hawaii where they hide a scoop of ice cream at the bottom of the snow. Shaved ice with fruits topped with ice cream is sooo good, an unbeatable combo. I also love reading about stories of small business owners! It lets me connect a face and story to the store and their desserts here making it so much more meaningful. read more

An identity crisis - not quite as good as sulbing and somi somi This place serves impressive variety. They have sulbing, sundaes, taiyaki, and boba. The issue with being a jack of all trades is....being the master of none. Indeed that is the case. Their shaved snow is on the smaller side and not quite as soft as what I am used to. We tried their sesame flavor which hit the right sweet notes. The texture of the red bean paste was off however - a bit slimey almost. We also tried their red bean taiyaki which had the same issue. However, the crust was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, this place is not a bad one shop stop. However, if you want the best, go to the OG read more

I was in the mood for a bubble tea rather than icy-desserts, but didn't seem to float my boat too well. Maybe not enough throughput for them compared to their shaved ice and soft-serve? Nothing wrong with their cute spot and service was perfectly pleasant, but by the time we sampled our drinks it was a bit late to change. :( Boba was *way* too soft and mushy. No chew. Strawberry part of it was not too bad and tasted quite fruity, but the matcha/tea part wasn't too flavorful. Bit of a shame since everyone does seem to rave about, but that's admittedly not for their drinks. Alas...I'll have to give their primary fare a better shot another time. read more

It's always great to support a mom and pop shop! There's not too many bingsu spots, but we love to try new ones to explore and see which one we like the best! I noticed they frequently change their menu options so it was fun to see what was in season. Upon entering the store it's very welcoming and trendy with the Tiffany blue color scheme. The self kiosk is convenient or you have the option to order with a cashier. We got the strawberry cheesecake large bingsu, custard taiyaki, and ube latte. Strawberry cheesecake bingsu was 4.5/5 and it was perfectly sweetened. I enjoyed how the shaved ice itself had flavor. The fruits and the graham crackers were a nice touch. The custard taiyaki was fresh and super fluffy 5/5. The mini sized one was perfect for me and it was a great small treat. The ube latte was 4.5/5 I liked how it wasn't too sweet and the ube flavoring was subtle and not overbearing. The drink was delicious and I'd recommend it for those ube lovers! read more

By far my favorite bingsu place in San Jose. Good spot if you want a personal dessert for yourself as it offers different sizes to fellow foodies. Compared to other bingsu spots, their ice has more flavor which makes every bite of their bingsu more enjoyable. read more

I came back with my family back this time for dessert after dinner. Each of us had no trouble getting something we wanted from the menu. My son also noticed the workers were friendly and nice. The place holds crowds well. It was more crowded than last time but didn't seem overwhelming. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their dessert with laughs and smiles. The place is well lit and clean. After the gym, I wanted some milk tea. I yelped around and saw that this shop offered brown sugar milk tea... when I got there, I realized it was just brown sugar milk so I ended up not getting it. Instead, I got 6 mini taiyaki (custard, red bean, blueberry cheesecake) and a milk tea with honey boba. The blueberry cheesecake was delicious and I enjoyed the custard ones as well. The red bean one was not my favorite, but it wasn't bad. The milk tea was too robust for my taste, but the sugar level was good for me at 75%. The honey boba had a good flavor, but I was not a fan of the consistency as it was too soft for my liking. Again, nothing wrong with that - it's just my preference. They had a good variety of bingsu and I am looking forward to going back and trying them out. Since it was later in the evening and I didn't have anyone to share it with - I used some self control and didn't splurge on one. The shop is very cutely decorated - great for pictures and plenty of space for people to hang out and chat while enjoying their snacks. The service was quick and friendly. read more

Whenever I am craving a sweet treat, I can never go wrong with bingsu! Doesn't matter the weather, I will always crave it. We came in on a cold rainy night so it wasn't as busy. Ordered from the tablet and our order came out in no less than 5 minutes. I ordered the miss you matcha and the strawberry cheesecake. I am someone who LOVES cheesecake so when I saw how many cheesecake bites were on my bingsu, I was happy. The dessert itself was delicious, however I wish there was more condensed milk to balance the amount of shaved ice. But there was an option to add extra, so next time I will do so. I definitely left Snowtime in a good mood! read more

Snow time is so good! They have the Somi Somi filled fish. They give more Nutella filling than other places tho so it's awesome. They have different flavored fillings like blueberry. There's not much parking so I sometimes park across the street. read more

First time and boy we didn't regret it! We were in the mood for ice cream, but wanted something different and pretty and we got just that! The Taro swirl with all my toppings was yummy! Located in a store center with a Starbucks drive thru, brewery, and nail salon the parking is sometimes tricky. Inside there is chairs and tables as well as some outside. The Oreo one is sweet and chocolatey and oh so yummy! I couldn't finish it myself so I shared it with another person. I can't wait to try the other flavors! A cute korean dessert spot with a variety of drinks, bingsu, and taiyaki treats. My friends and I shared the medium size Tiramisu Bingsu, and it was the perfect size for 4 people. I recommend this flavor because of the little chunks of cake I haven't seen at other bingsu spots! It is not overly sweet either. Popped into this quaint dessert shop after dinner to satisfy my sweet tooth. It is bright and airy with spacious indoor seating perfect for date night or a family outing. I ordered 6 mini Taiyaki (3 custard and 3 red bean). These fish-shaped dessert treats are made similar to waffles with a crispy texture on the outside and soft chewy inside. The red bean filling was sweet and generously stuffed. The custard filling was mildly sweet and creamy. These treats are served immediately after making so contents will be hot when consuming. read more
Yummy taiyaki with the right amount of chewiness that I have been looking for and have finally found! I had the taiyaki in a cup with nutella as filling, with vanilla ice cream and chose macaron and mochi to add (up to 2 toppings included). Really the taiyaki is the star, and was glad to try it. My friend put me on this place, and I was not disappointed. The bingsu is so soft and fluffy, and I loved the homemade fruit syrup. Would come back when I'm around! Came here with young kids and we loved it! Got the Golden Dust shaved ice and a Nutella taiyaki and the kids loved both of those. We also liked that these Asian desserts are not as sweet. There's also a courtyard just around the corner where little ones can burn off the sugar. read more
