Taste: 5 Value: 5…read moreService: 5 One of the best Taiwanese meals I've had since coming back from Taipei at the start of the year. The hot and sour soup was thick and chunky, just how I like the soup. The scallion bread sandwich with 5-spice beef was distinct. The bread was perfectly baked and the beef was flavorful and juicy. There was both mustard greens and pickles that gave crunch and acidity to balance the meat and bread. The lotus root salad was refreshing while still having a kick from their in-house chili oil. Dan Dan noodles were also excellent. Fresh cucumbers, chewy noodles, flavorful sauce. Hearty portions with enough for a lunch the next day. Also appreciated the speed of service. Lines move quickly and food comes out quickly. Looking forward to my next visit!

Came near closing time for a late night bite…read more Dandan Noodles $13: Tasty, cucumber had a nice crush, but the sauce felt a little diluted; or left something more to be desired. Competition for dandan noodles is tough so do give this place credit. It is still solid bc you cannot really mess dandan noodles. Five spice beef clamshell bun $6.5: Forgot to take a photo because i scarfed it down! Now this, I would come back and order again. Their beef is well seasoned, marinated and extra tender, not dry. Since they can make their beef this good, they should consider making Taiwanese beef noodle soup.

First of all- this is the best restaurant I've been to in Monterey Park…read more When I say the line is worth it, I mean it. The service is incredible even though the place is super busy. They give large portions and everything tastes INCREDIBLE. Super authentic flavors and will definitely be coming back MUST TRY: Beef roll- flaky on the outside and stuffed with delicious marinated beef. My favorite dish Pan fried pork bun- super juicy just like in China Fried squid- the best fried squid I've ever had. Even better than the Hong Kong Cafe. Super crunchy almost like Korean fried chicken in the outside and tender in the inside. Not hard to chew at all! Lemon green tea- absolute massive glass. 100% delicious and not too sweet with a faint jasmine floralness Inside is a bit small but very generous with the AC Definitely come here!

Ordered D2 tendon beef noodle soup and C4 beef roll; take out…read more Beef noodle soup: noodles chewy and bouncy, very nice chew texture! Soup and tendon can be a bit salty on its own but when you add the soup with the noodles, the noodles soak up the flavor very well and the soup mellows out. Still on the heavier side of flavor for me but I can tell it's a very good, flavorful soup. Tendon was very soft. My husband ordered D1 and the regular beef was soft and had a good, evenly distributed flavor throughout the meat. Husband said he did not find the noodle soup salty and he's also on the lighter side of flavor profile like me. Beef roll: ordered this since the pics on yelp showed them rolled very evenly with filling. A little expensive, it could be a meal price, but the amount could also be a meal. Beef roll came looking exactly like what I saw in pics; good amount of filling and rolled evenly. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be crispy on the outside since I ordered take out but it could be crispier. I'll prob air fry later for a later meal. Crispness was the only con, the beef roll was very good! The beef isn't dry and tough, good amount of sauce for flavor. Would definitely recommend. Overall, beef noodle soup and beef roll were excellent. Already recommended the place to my sister. Be warned, ordered around opening time (Saturday) and when I went to pick up, the place was already full within the first hour of opening.

The hype is absolutely real…read more i've always wanted to try this place and now that it's in K-Town it was time to stop by the food did not disappoint at all. be mindful when you come here because it is street parking, but there are a few parking garages nearby if you're willing to walk. this establishment is a order first - sit down after, but the staff does make sure there is a seat before taking your order. they have two areas for seating and a few tables that are a bit communal. If you don't mind that then it should not be a problem to get a seat. get your own utensils and bowls if needed. now let's get into food. The cold sesame noodle was so refreshing and savory that it may be my favorite thing on the menu. The beef noodle soup is also a classic and you cannot go wrong if you order that. Pandan Kaya toast is delicious and highly recommend. spicy wontons were so good, I could've done two orders. portions look small because they have things in smaller looking bowls, but everything is extremely filling and worth every penny - everything is priced fairly cheap as well so don't be afraid to try a little bit of everything and share.

This café is very close to the Wiltern Theater and we were able to find street parking easily. The beautiful thing was we were able to walk in order and be seated almost immediately. They have a limited menu, but the three items that we tried were excellent. We had the pork belly rice, which was delicious perfectly cooked rice and seasoned pork. We had the beef noodle soup, which was one of my father's favorites and this was awesome. Very delicious and we also had the spicy wontons again perfectly cooked wontons were excellent. This is a new go to eatery for me and my family. I can't wait to try other things on the menu.

It's one of the default lunch spots for us when we can't decide where else to go and everyone likes their food. The one negative I can point out is the parking situation. It does fill up and sometimes difficult to find a parking spot during busy times. We just have to plan to have our lunches a little earlier and carpool from our office. And yes, the glass the teas come in are humongous.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

But I was glad I came to this place. Love the atmosphere. It was energetic, a bit loud, and has a cooled retro night bar with neon signs. The alcohol display behind the bar was a spectacular view/design. It's high, making it looking pretty against the dim backdrop. We ordered four dishes, Dan Dan Mian, sichuan eggplant, chili wonton, and duck bao. The Dan Dan was unique. I didn't expect it to be spicy like all the other ones I've tried. But it was amazing! All of them were! Reservations are strongly recommended since it gets filled up pretty easily. Lastly, I want to give our waiter, Peter, a huge shoutout for being so attentive and engaging. He was on top of it! Great energy and very friendly.

Parking was easy with plenty of metered parking out front. The Dan Dan Mian had interesting thick wavy noodles, almost like lasagne noodles sliced up. The sauce was unique yet good. The chili wontons were just okay, and probably not the best for take out as it got kind of soggy. The standing was surprisingly the Asian Greens. It had garlic and was very flavorful. It's a little pricey, especially the won tons.
