I need to stop giving them my money and hope that everyone around our community starts to boycott them as well until they stop taking advantage of our surroundings low income communities. $0.99 for a slice of cheese!?!? 1,000% Profit!!! One of the last bastions for solid diner burgers. I come here every few weeks and get their double bacon cheeseburger extra cheese. The burgers are a good size and filling. The fries are the nice thick ones crispy with soft center; they're also very generous with them. Overall great service too. I have noticed that their prices are getting a little up there - inflation. Fast delicious food rated two thumbs up. Most notable that have not surcome to kiosk ordering. They remain old school where you look at the menu and have someone take your order. I absolutely HATE kiosk ordering. Popeyes, Jack in the box, Taco Bell just to name a few have all made that transition. Personalized customer service is non existent. My go-to when in Maywood! Cheap prices for delicious burgers! The employees are welcoming and the restaurant is clean. I also appreciate the fact that their décor is still the original from it's inception, very vintage. I always order the Super Cheese Burger combo. Their burgers are superior to big fast food chains. It was me and my girlfriend's first time here and the food was amazing. We both got a bacon cheeseburger, and it was one of the best we've ever had. Their 1000 island sauce is so good, I recommend you get an extra side of it for the fries! Aside from the delicious food, the service is outstanding. Having the name "Jim's Burgers" brings back some good memories when it comes to burger joints. Most "Jim's Burgers" that I've had have been pretty good, but not this one. They have a carne asada quesadilla on the menu for 10 bucks, by itself. Not as a plate with rice and beans, 10 bucks just for the quesadilla. Yeah, no thanks. We ordered 2 cheeseburger specials and 1 plate of chili cheese fries. My burger was ok but I was not a fan of the fries or side of thousand island. In this case I will simply say that it wasn't my cup of tea in terms of flavor. My daughter said her chili cheese fries were ok and she likes just about everything. My biggest problem was the wait time for my food. People who ordered behind me were getting their food 1st. I don't think ill visit this Jim's again. read more

Stopped by for the first time yesterday and I must say that Jim's Burgers is really good! I've wanted to come by here before, but it would look so packed & this time around it worked out just fine for my man & I. He had been craving breakfast from here so I placed our orders over the phone & was told to pick it up in 15 minutes. I ordered the breakfast special #2 which comes with pancakes, eggs, & your choice of sausage or bacon (I chose the bacon) & my man ordered special #5 that comes with toast, hash browns, eggs, & choice of sausage or bacon (he chose sausage) Overall a very good breakfast for a very decent price. We both got so full & let me just say that I fell in love with Jim's bacon. It tasted so good, just the way I like it. Not burnt to a crisp, not undercooked it was just right. It had a crisp & chewy meaty texture. I LOVED IT! & the sausage was great. The pancakes were good as well, but I'd come back for an order of bacon lol it was literally that good. Upon arrival this location was very clean (as expected due to Covid-19) The staff was so friendly when I placed the order over the phone & in person much nicer. I liked this experience & look forward on trying their well known burgers. My mans family will drive out from Corona just to get their burgers. read more

My family grew up not too far from Jim's and it's always been one of our go-to places for a quick and reasonably priced bite to eat. It's got a pretty standard menu for one of the "Greek burger joints" , with all sorts and sizes of burgers, a selection of breakfast entrees, some Mexican food, hot sandwiches including a really good pastrami, and more. The best value is one of the burger combo, with your choice of several burgers, fries, and a soft drink. The burgers are huge, and for our family, one order of fries gave us more than all of us could finish. If you can't eat a lot or you need to skimp a little, the junior burger is still bigger than a standard burger at any of the chains. Not a fan of burgers or want to eat healthier? Order the chicken breast salad, which gets you a grilled chicken breast, lots of lettuce and veggies, and toast; Mom loves it and it's enough for her to have two meals. About the only thing on the menu we've been disappointed in is the desserts. They offer chocolate chip cookies and brownies that look wonderful, but the couple of times we've bought them, you could tell they'd been sitting around for a while. Ask the folks at the counter how long ago they were prepared before you buy. Most folks who order from Jim's take their orders to go, but it does have a small dining area if you don't want to wait. Like most independent burger joints, the decor is heavy on dark wood paneling and the walls are full of pictures from high school events the place sponsored over the years; the place is clean and comfortable. If you're looking for good fresh food at a reasonable price, Jim's is a good choice - there's a reason it's still around after 70+ years! read more
